I love this app
It's very useful and very easy to use.
Whenever I put text in, only a small bit plays
I’ve been using this for years but stopped recently when I noticed that, whenever I put a text into the editor, only a small paragraph plays. The app was wonderful but has become useless.
Like it very much but one major malfunction wit earbuds
I’m using very well integrated to iphone ios environnement Beat Fit Pro earbuds. I can « clic » on my ear earbuds to pause, but clicking again to resume voice reading just doesn’t work. To pause & resume reading directly from earbuds while I’m on the go is a must.
Only reads part of the webpage
I pasted a URL, and it only read a little portion of the webpage. Please do something about it. Thank you.
Why not easy to paste text to be read aloud?
If we want to support safe driving, Speaky should allow free and easy paste to read aloud (PTRA) capabilities that would allow a driver to select enough text for a 30 min commute to be easily read aloud on that commute. If the “I’m driving” feature is selected and the text starts before the commute (moving at driving speeds), then this would be a great improvement that promotes Speaky as well as safe, hands-free cell phone use while driving. You could even have a selection to block interruptions while driving & PTRA are ongoing. Deliberate control of social media is the best thing about internet & social media; please help make this possible by promoting safe driving & listening.
It's embarrassing.
An app I've been using for over 7 years However With the latest update, it has become a paid app, and All the notes I've recorded over the past seven years have been deleted. I don't think I need to say anything else. It's embarrassing.
Price
I was given a price for pro, but wasn’t able to download it at the time. When I opened the app again, it was about twice as much.
Just getting to know it
I am just finding my way around Speaky, but I do like the big word page it really helps while following along with the readings.
Irritating Robotic Voice
The robotic robot voice used is beyond irritating. I’m not sure how anyone could bear to listen to this for any length of time. 😬
Patience
Too soon can't rate until i try it
Fantastic
Great app!
Stop asking for reviews.
Stop asking for reviews. Update: still, stop asking for reviews. Maybe have some self awareness too.
Pretty good...
I really like this game but kinda hard to do so 4 stars

Simple TTS App with Great Developer Support
Speaky is a simple, powerful text-to-speech app that works offline and requires no account. Add articles via URL, files, or paste text, using Apple's built-in voices including premium voices (like Zoe). The developer is responsive and quickly added an export feature. Three features would make it perfect: progress tracking with last played position, Instapaper integration and visual enhancements with images within articles and thumbnails for list of articles.
Great app.
I enjoy this app.
Pretty good …1 wish tho
Pretty good….I wish it had ability to download audio file in background & export it (make available offline) I know it would take time to process 100+ page pdf books but that would be amazing
Too bad it can’t access other apps.
I have ebooks and pfds on another app that I would like to have Speaky read for me some times when I am too busy to sit down and read but it can’t access them.
indispensable !
tout simplement formidable
Does not spy on you. Does what it needs to do.
This is great for listening to academic papers while driving in your car. You can pause and take voice notes. I just installed it but it looks to hit the mark. Hopefully I can ask which section/paragraph I am in for my voice notes and also jump around to different notes via voice…
Not what I expected
I read the reviews and excited to listen articles... had high hopes... When i put in URL or pdf files, it glitches out and wont stop reading nor does it read correctly in english (switches to different language). It crashes often... and I am frustrated with the app. I would love a refund.... please and thank you.
Great App
Fantastic way to work
Misleading claim
If this is meant for the visually impaired why is there white print on a light green background giving the instructions? Try talking to the Bind Society to discover how inappropriate a choice this is and what would be a better substitution.
What happend
My reading speak option when highlighted a text reads so fast.
So useful
I’ve been using this since 2014 and even though new tools come I still use it. It’s my morning routine to play my notes
don't pay$
this app is not worth paying for looks good in the app store presents very well but does not perform cannot import is you use dropbox can't place anything files into it through iTunes do not pay for this app at any price
Messaging is much easier than talking nowadays
People still don’t like reading the novels that I tend to e-mail, text, etc. This is a win win compromise. I just want more FREE storage space
Ms
Great idea but this app does not work for me. How can I add a PDF file? I copied a URL link of a PDF and it does not register it. I tried to email it to pocket and tried to add the PDF from pocket but it only got "queue". It would be so handy to be able to listen to PDF files. Please work out to make it possible. Also, how can I delegate things.
Better than competition
So subscription model, fair use and looking forward to updates
Terrible waste of money
- can't import pdf's and it said you can - very hard to use - looks good in App Store but when you download looks terrible I want a refund!!!!
Pretty good
I have wanted something right read my articles while driving. This is a great app so I can pay attention to the road. Would love to see other voices
This works but...
This is a simple and effective app, easy to use but the quality of the voices are not too great and the iteration can be a bit off. Looking forward to trying future updates.
Does the job cost effectively!
I looked at other apps one was really expensive and the other was a mystery as to how it works.
Doesn't work
What a rip off of $7 for an app that doesn't work at all
Superr app
Nyc n easy to use
Excellent
This is my go-to app for reading news articles in a hurry. Also, logical , easy to understand user interface. To the creater(s), Well Done!
I love this app but...
After the last update, the app can't seem to extract text from websites! Please fix
Near perfection reader
👍beautiful new UI 👍fast and functional 👍cool today widget 👎no indication for read/unread articles.
Love it
A great new product
Pranger
Too clunky - not easy to use. Worthless in my opinion
Helpful app
App is helpful
