- Sync fails between app and site
- Missing many popular watch brands
Excellent Clean App!
Extremely impressed with this app rarely do I waste my time writing any type of reviews, but the content in this app is very clean. The app works very very well and you can tell whoever is maintaining it. Let’s put a lot of work into it. Kudos to the 1916 Company.
Account required. Why?!
An unnecessary login requirement is frequently indicative of ulterior motives such as marketing and tracking under the guise of providing extra features like remote syncing and personalization (which should not act as a gatekeeper in this case). Since you can’t even get past the login screen, the app is all but unusable, and unusable apps should not be given more than 1 star.
Fun app
Great app for the watch obsessed. But the wear tracker is broken right now, today is Jan 1, 2026 and the date the app shows is December 1, 2025.
Tariq
The app doesn’t sync with the website. I have saved watches on the website that do not show in the app. Also the app gives a consistent error message when signing in that the website does not. This is still after removing the app and redownloading it.
Nice app but frustrating to track wishlist watches
I’ve bought multiple watches and 1916 company is great. App doesn’t live up to the service. Every time a watch is sold it should come off wishlist or mark as sold on wishlist. To click on it and have a not available is so frustrating. Also scrolling doesn’t save position when looking at wishlist. Goes back to top and have to find position again!! Part of the fun is to track many watches. It you track more than 5 it is a SUPER frustrating experience.
App keeps crashing on my iPhone 14 pro max
App loads but then crashes when you try to log in
Needs an update
App needs an update. Changes on the cart and wishlist on the website do not show up in the app.
Nice app but could better
This app is nice as an accompaniment to the website but there’s no way (that I’ve found) to purchase from the app itself. With both the app and website, they only way to save a watch and come back to it is add to the cart. You’d think it would be simple to be able to click on something and have it added to a wishlist or something similar.
Too cumbersome
It’s too many taps to add a watch, and not enough brands or models are recognized. I can’t manually add a Baltic Aquascaphe? Really?
Glitches when viewing photos of your collection
There's a glitch that's been around for multiple versions of this app. If you click into a photo of a watch in your collection, you cannot close out of the photo. You have to quit the app and relaunch.
Great App for staying up to date
The app is helpful for doing watch research and staying up to date on industry news.
Rich
I don’t like it .Where are the videos available. Please change it back
good app, but not compatible with ios dark mode yet
thank you for this app’
What’s the point?
I seriously don’t understand the point of this app. It’s difficult to do a straight up search of the Watchbox inventory and it’s “collecting” features are so thin as to be non-existent. Also, I can’t have my iPad turned 180 degrees and still use this app? What?
Buggy app
The app looses scrolling and filtering. Filtering is just almost nonexistent. Example Brand selection does not effect model choice. You would think that model should have only models for the brand(s) you selected. But no it displays models from all brands. I have not tried other filters. But this i would think is the most usable. I usually just use website. The app also crashes sometimes.
Awesome app with a great design
Love how easy it is to navigate through the app!
You can’t add a watch brand
I couldn’t add Hamilton.
Great but..
Please, add a fonction with atomic synchronised clock to set watches and it will be a 5 stars app.
Decent App
It's a decent app that has info and news on what's out there and what's trending. What the app is missing is the rest of the info. Meaning that it doesn't actually have all watched cataloged which might be hard to do considering how many watches exist, but if you're going to make an app about watches...you'd expect it to at least be updated with the current watches of today. I can't even find Seiko SSC819, and that watch just came out a few years ago so information should be updated by now. But guess not. Also most of the watches cataloged are missing their pictures. Like come on man. Overall, good concept. It is nice to have an app dedicated to watches instead of surfing through YouTube and Google all the time. Just wish it's improved.
Frustrating- Deleted content
It’s frustrating enough to have to login after an update but all my data in my watch box was gone. I started to re-add it but decided not too after all. Was a decent app to track your collection and window shop.
Watchbox app
Great app! Very simple UI I can buy watches, keep track of my own, and talk to my client advisor super easy!
Trash
I click on a watch I like and it freezes and doesn’t load. Downloaded the update and it continues to fail. Literally defeats the purpose of the entire ap if I can’t click on a watch and see details. Don’t waste your time.
Awesome app but needs more update
App is really useful, but all news is sometimes freezes, and do not update for weeks. Otherwise great.
Shameful for a massive company
This app is slow, unresponsive, not intuitive, frequently crashes, has trouble loading the most basic of watch pages then will lose its place if you—god forbid—click a watch then want to return to where you were browsing. This is now an app that has been updated several times and is still plagued with the same trash issues. Figure it out.
Tag Heuer
No mention of the Formula 1 models in the drop down list but lists but lists them as Formula 2.
New & Improved App
Significantly improved app with ability to add favorite brands, wish list, watch box, and grail watch. Love the ability to watch all of the reviews and new show content produced right from the app. So happy to see the new version!
Requires an account? And doesn’t even have normal watches?
What’s the point?
Excellent resource of Watches
I've been using the app for a couple of weeks and have been pleased with the content.
Basically garbage
This app is kind of a joke. It logs you out constantly, then when you log back in, you see that whatever you had saved previously is ALL deleted. After 3-4 incidents like this, I just got sick and tired of having to create a new account a d start all over almost EVERY SINGLE TIME the app was opened up. I have way better things to do with my time…
Where the virtual wrist photo
I’m trying to find how to image the watches on my wrist, and I can’t figure where to find it.
nice app
my favorite Patek dealer
Time to learn some geography
Hey guys it looks like you should fix your geography knowledge as my country is missing from the list and I can’t even finish the registration process. Cyprus is one of the oldest territory to host humans and part culture cradle (as extension of Greece pf course, not competing with Africa of course) and part pf EU. I understand that us people rarely know anything outside us, but YOU guys could do better.
All-in-one
This app is just a great one-stop, all-in-one site for up to date info about new, old and interesting watches.
Needs updating
Half of the watches I own arent in the app’s database - when you manually add them it doesnt track values which is the reason I want to use the app! They’re not rare pieces either, e.g. 2021 Submariner
Bummer
Really cool idea for an app but such a bummer it’s mostly geared toward luxury watch collectors. It couldn’t even find my Tissot watch to add to my collection. Really? Ok. Wish it was more aimed at the common man watch enthusiast/collector who isn’t exactly dropping 10k on watches just yet.
The reviews by Tim are just amazing
Great selection and great videos by tim
Sad attempt at an upgrade
WatchBox used to have a great app and I was on it almost every evening. I’ve even bought several watches from this company. Then, the upgrade happened and it doesn’t work anymore. One review was obviously written by an employee. Upgrade is in desperate need of an upgrade. So much easier to go to WatchBox.com to check out their inventory.
Excellent app!
All the news you'd need. The watch box is a great addition, especially as it'll follow you through all your devices when you sign in. All that's missing is an atomic synchronized clock added (as a competing watch app already has) and it would be 5 star.
No peasants
I was hoping to see watches under $400 along with buku money Rolex’s, but I was disappointed. The app would definitely get more use if it had a broader range of watches...
Canadian watch buyers
Need to have an option to input your watches in CAD dollars!!
Love this app!!!!!
I’m really into watch’s I’m still a novice as fare as collecting goes but I like to think I no a thing or 2 but this app gives you all the information you ever need keeps you well informed on hot topics as well as being easy to navigate top stuff. Only wish it was a uk app but that’s nit picking. Only so I can buy watch’s.
Not supportive of all brands.
Asked at the setup for “favorite brands” didn’t recognize Hamilton brand. 😂😂😂 I’m good. Website is silly.
Glitch in shopping component makes overall usability poor.
The shopping component of the app has an infinite scroll function that doesn't work properly and it keeps repeating the same watches over and over. It makes shopping for watches an exercise in frustration.
Ransom
I’m holding 2 of your 5 stars for ransom. You’ll get them if and when you ever come to Canada.
Great for collectors
The ultimate watch collectors app experience. Rich with data and relevant info.
Used to love this app
Then they changed everything. The collection part used to be so easy and useful and now it’s trash. Replaced all but 3 of mine with a random JLC or some other brand I don’t have. No longer has numerous options it had. There was no other app like it and not it’s like every other app. Super bummed.
App won’t open
2 stars is generous because for the short amount of time the app worked, I loved it. I tap the app, see the WatchBox opening screen and then it auto closes out on me before it even gets to the login screen. Yes, I restarted my phone and yes I deleted and downloaded the app again.
Works well on iPhone and iPod, not so much on iPad
This app works fine on iPhone and iPod, but text entry is basically broken on iPad. It's very clear it's trying to up-scale the iPhone/iPod UI, and not doing too good a job it for the most part, i.e. text overlaps, labels overlap, and you can't actually complete the form to create a new account on iPad. Other than these iPad UI showstoppers though, the app itself is great, and does exactly what it's meant to.
