I don’t see how this app have a 4.8 rating. I’m learning spanish and all of the AI voices are hard to understand (the app’s 1 job).

There is only one voice option and the person has broken English….Lol
Pretty good.
I use it a lot. I like that it has multiple languages. What I don’t understand is why it goes silent every few minutes and I have to reboot my iPad to get it to speak again, maddening!
I think it does ok
I think it does ok in comparison to how many different words there are out there, however it pronounces them based on spelling and not on how it is actually pronounced. For example (Hermes) it says it as (her-mees) when in fact it is pronounced air-mez.
My findings.
When I type in a word and it shows as unrecognized, this app will still pronounce it. It seems, at times I am hearing a British pronunciation of a word. But not always. Is there a set standard?

This is a wonderful app that helps you to say words that you might not be able to say. I have used it for years.
Obnoxious ads
Obnoxious ads pop up when all you want is a pronunciation and they are very difficult to get rid of

I gave it a 4 because it is really helpful but you just forget about it so if you forget I definitely recommend it but if you do forget, I don’t recommend it But if you don’t know how to pronounce a lot of words I would give it five stars. It’s just I just forget about a lot so I don’t really use it, but I hope you like this app
Freezes
The app freezes when overused, some words it is unable to pronounce. I will be replacing it.

I wonder if the pronunciation is English or American but if it’s English that is not always right

This is a great app but one thing
Overall this is a very helpful app but sometimes in the middle of a sentence being pronounced ads show up. Obviously I know you have to pay to stop the ads, to be honest I generally don’t mind the ads it’s just it is annoying when in the middle of a pronunciation.
Looks awkward on iPhone X
Fonts are all added up... hard to tell what they are. Need to change language every time I switch to another language.

Mispronounced 1st word
I typed in my name. It’s French and 900 years old. Completely botched it. I wonder how many other people are being affected by this inaccurate app 🤔 So I tried “tchoupitoulas” it was pronounced as chop-a-gal-is. It’s actually pronounced chop-a-tool-is 🙄

The quality of this audio is shocking. The voice is so crackly it's hard to hear how to say the word.

It’s too bad that this app does not work
When you put in a word and then get the pronunciation is incorrect. It would be helpful if they would break down the pronunciation. The pronunciation given is either very slow or if you pick fast it is very fast and unintelligible. Do not like to give bad reviews but I was hoping it is out which which doesn’t.

I'm using this app to learn my German Conversation piece for my exams, and it's been very helpful! The only improvements that could be made are a pause button for recordings and a feature which allows the user to change the order of the statements in the favourites tab. Otherwise, a great app, keep up the good work, a patch to fix the problems noted in my review would be greatly appreciated. Callum, 15
Can I choose the letter??
I wish I can choose the letter from all the letters when I want to hear the pronunciation word because it is very difficult if I search about my word When you put it this feature in the payment application I will make sure to buy it
