Limited to single words
I think that app is good at a word level. It helps you improve at a single word, but it lacks pronunciation to improve the sentences. It has a limited amount of words also, which is all right. They're lacking new words for the same pronunciations, but that's not too bad. It lacks exercises where you kind of have conversations a lot and help improve your sentences. You end up just sounding with perfect words but like an AI robot instead of sentences. Yes, they do have AI practice sessions for role play, but that's not very helpful. They should internee more pronunciation improvements at sentencing so you kind of catch works like lemme instead of saying ^ let me^ . There are so many words or sentences that Americans kind of do it silently instead of saying the entire word. You will never get that with this app. This app will just teach you a word. That's it.

I love training with this app
Disappointed
I’m disappointed with the lack of flexibility in BoldVoice. While the app uses AI to personalize your learning journey, you cannot freely browse and select specific lessons from the curriculum. Instead, you have to wait for the system to decide what comes next. BoldVoice suggested using features like the Sound Library, Just Speak, AI Chat, and practicing your own text, but these don’t solve the core issue. If I know I need to work on a specific pronunciation skill or lesson, I should be able to select it directly. Personalization is useful, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of user choice. For a paid learning app, I expected much more control over how and what I practice. Hopefully BoldVoice adds this flexibility in the future.

I tested lots of apps to improve my pronunciation, and this one was the best, but it is a little bit expensive

use la plataforma por un año y se acabó la suscripción, luego la volví a dar de alta y en lugar de continuar en la unidad en que me había quedado tuve que empezar de nuevo, y eso lleva mucho tiempo. No me gustó que incluso con mi misma cuenta no puede retomar el curso en donde me quedé y poder seguir avanzando. Para el próximo año buscaré otra plataforma.

My favourite app!
I’ve been using BoldVoice for a year, and I absolutely love it! I’ve practiced almost every single day because the lessons are so engaging, interesting, and fun that I genuinely look forward to practicing. The coaches are incredibly talented and encouraging, and I especially love getting personalized feedback. It really helps you understand what to improve and how. After a year of using the app, I can definitely notice an improvement in my accent and confidence when speaking English. I highly recommend BoldVoice to anyone who wants to improve their American accent. It’s one of those apps that makes learning feel enjoyable rather than like a chore! ❤️
It’s only stuck on one screen
It’s saying you’re one time offer and it won’t let me click a X button to get off that if I have to pay this deserve the one star, but I don’t know how to fix it and get off that cause I don’t wanna pay

すごい、けど楽しくはない
ここまで細かく指摘してくれるアプリは他には無い所はすごい。 問題点 ①マイクが過敏。衣擦れも拾う。問い合わせしても直す予定はさそうな返答が来た。 ②アドバイスが微妙 タコスとかブルーベリーとかミントとかアドバイスがネイティブの発想すぎる。 ③ひたすら繰り返し 出来てないものは同じレッスンビデオをリピートされるだけ。 ④急な難問 難しい発声をさせるために非ネイティブがまず使わない単語や文の応酬。意味があるのか謎。 全体的に悪いアプリではないですが要所要所でやる気を削ぎ落としていくので根性がないときついと思う。
The scoring system is a mess for certain sounds
Ih vs ee and uh vs ah have consistently incorrect scoring. Also, newer versions have too many lengthy sentence exercises that fail to focus on specific topics

Not very stable
This app glitches often, like stops recognizing your voice etc. For the price you have to pay, it’s quite frustrating. To add - YES, the app is up to date, I’m using the latest version released.
Only has one American accent
Overall this could be an amazing place to start, but it assumes that all regions in the states use the same accent. I noticed that any words said with a southern accent are counted as incorrect. (For example, pronouncing the g in young). Over all a great place to start, but I would recommend trying to also mimic the accent of people around you otherwise you’ll still sound like you’re not necessarily native.

ELSA がどんどん悪化していくので乗り換えました。まず、フィードバックが細かくてわかりやすいのが良いです。また、コンテンツが人手でしっかり作り込まれている印象です。改善点がいくつかあるので、星4におとしました。 以下、改善要望です。 1. インターフェースの日本語訳が不自然なのでもう少し改善してほしいです。 2. 体調不良やうっかりで毎日の練習ができない時もあるので、Epop や Speak のように、連続記録を維持するための機能を付けてほしいです。 3. 音声入力が敏感すぎる気がします。開始時のバイブ音を入力として受け取ってしまう時があるので、バイブしない設定を用意してほしいです。 --- 追記: フィードバックするとすぐにリアクションしてくれます。ELSA とは大違い。実際に連続記録維持機能が追加されました。ユーザの意見を大事にしていて素晴らしいと思います。料金が少し高めだとは感じますが、その価値はあると思います。
人を選びすぎる
問題点を指摘されるばかりで具体的にどう改善すればいいかのアドバイスが一切ないためイライラする一方。"あなたの発音はこうだった"というがそれを言われるだけで正しい発音に直せるなら苦労などしていない。問題点を把握できたのはよかったが、それだけなら他のアプリを使った方がいい。
Overall a great app but pricey subscription
Grew up in multi lingual household and have a slight accent for every language I speak (all natively). Paid for subscription, not sure how much I improved but I am at least aware of my shortcomings but will not renew due to price.
Must have app for immigrants
I have been using this app for almost more than one year and I see lot of improvement in pronunciation. This is a long road ahead but very good start.
I wish there was an option to chose the accent you want to learn
I’m American born and raised but I’ve grown an interest in the Australian accent. I’m very good at it but I wanna be even better. This app sucks because it costs money to get good practice and you can’t even chose an accent to perfect. This app seems like a way to get rid of beautiful accents and make everyone sound neutral/American instead of trying to sound like a different accent.

Good but can be better
It’s kinda helpful but won’t replace in person coaching for actors. It needs to improve in addressing the needs of people from different language backgrounds, particularly in helping us find the right cadence and where to put the intonations in the right places to sound authentically American.

Frustrating subscription and cancellation experience
I am very disappointed with how the trial and cancellation process is handled on this app. I signed up for a 1-week free trial, but trying to cancel before getting charged turned into a frustrating runaround between the app interface and the Stripe billing portal. The system makes it unnecessarily difficult to cancel your membership, routing you in circles while attempting to push through an annual charge. Be very careful starting a trial if you don't intend to keep a costly subscription.

App User experience is good except me
No matter how hard I tried, my pronunciation didn’t improve. I’d say this app is designed for speakers of languages that are similar to English. I paid for a 12-month plan; however, it’s not worth the money. So I gave up practicing with this app.
Done a 360
I haven’t downloaded the app for the purposes like what it was saying I had it used for like a different way of social media kind of like a YouTube but you could only hear everything, it’s more explanatory since that was it back then it seems like they’ve done a 360 and help with English training . Not what I’m looking for,this is great for people who are looking to learn new accents and pronunciation and I’m already proficient in that, but I wish the people who need it could use it for this purpose.

Scam
Scam don’t use this app! My subscription was expired I never used the app only for 2 days and it’s terrible. And it was expired and still they charge me, watch out professional scammers.
Working
Out of all the apps i used so far this app is the only that actually works and help to learn a lot. The only downside for is the yearly subscription if they reduce the subscription lower it would be easier to keep up and continue using it.
The word IPA might change in the single word
Such as the word “prefer”, sometime it ask you to use “prɪˈfɜːr” but sometime it ask you pronunce as prəfɜr. This is only one of the work, and it bascially happened every day. Is that app teach is wrong pronunciation?????? Very difficult to follow
Needs work
The app is not accurate. Maybe the AI version is better but it’s obviously more expensive. The usual version is quite limiting and limited to what it can actually achieve because the sound Recognition is not optimal to say the least.

No se porque, si ya cancelé mi prueba de 7 días con BoldVoice aun me siguen cobrando, desde un principio me querían cobrar más de 100 dólares. Yo simplemente estaba intentando probar la app con el free trial y luego de aceptar el free trial me trataron de cobrar más de 100 dólares. Eso no se hace. Nunca más usaré su app.
It doesn’t auto-rotate on the iPad.
I really like BoldVoice for pronunciation practice. This app does not auto-rotate on my iPad. I have to keep the iPad upright in portrait orientation, which makes studying less comfortable. This limitation even makes me hesitate to purchase the app.

Bug
I like this app but set 1 star to attract more attention from developers. I already wrote them that there was a bug and they responded with some excuse that says they will not change anything. The bug is: When I am using airpods, I can hear all sounds in aipods, but when I talk, my recorded sound is recorded from phone’s microphone and not airpod’s microphone! So in loud environment the recording is extremely weak if the phone is in your hand or hanging on some support, but when I talk straight to phone’s microphone even when airpods are connected, then sounds is recorded clearly. I also tried to use cable headphones with USB-C adapter. In that case the sound is recorded correctly from headphone’s microphone. So SAME headphones´ mic not working with bluetooth and work with cable. The thing is that I bought subscription and in my case when I have some time and want to exercise I always hit the wall of this bug I just CANNOT use this app. I cannot carry cable headphones and adapter every time. This is a great app but this stupid bug is very frustrating. For those users who want to use their AirPods just know, this app is NOT WORKING with them correctly.

Good app overall
I wish I could switch coaches. Some pronounce words differently from the IPA, but the app only accepts the IPA version. But overall, this app is useful.
