Друзья, столкнулся со всеми проблемами, с которыми столкнулись и вы, но всё-таки получилось подсоединить саундбар к телефону. У меня на роутере была включена сеть 5 Гц, мне пришлось сделать вторую сеть 2.4 Гц и назвать её по-другому, чтобы разделить два SSID. Только после этого у меня получилось подсоединить Sound bar к телефону. Потом я удалил созданную сеть 2.4 Гц и переименовал сеть 5 Гц в названия той сети, к которой я подсоединил Sound bar (то есть 2.4Гц), тем самым я обманул систему и теперь мой Sound bar вместе с телефоном работает в сети 5 Гц. К сожалению, пришлось поменять название сети, поэтому все остальные устройства автоматически потеряли соединение, но это не проблема. Что касается приложения: довольно приятно, абсолютно все функции доступны к настройке, очень быстро и удобно можно это сделать, чтобы не касаться пульта. Работает без блютуса, достаточно просто включить Wi-Fi. Если кому-то помог, обязательно указываем «мобильного критика» в качестве благодарности.
Buggy and and a step backwards
The previous app i never had issues, this app wifi drops randomly and I have to reset the soundbar. Setup was messy and took multiple times till it somehow just stopped crashing. I hope they fix this soon Update: still doesn’t work properly at times the arc doesn’t properly set the hdmi resulting in it just not working. Until for reset, never happened with the previous app. SAMSUNG FIX YOUR APP Update 2: Aug 12th 26 - Still not working as expected randomly turns off and goes offline, never happened with the old app. Avoid q990 or any samsung soundbar till they fix it. Update 3: still randomly goes offline and sometimes won’t change the input device properly till I unplug it and plug it back in, terrible
Pretty good overall
The app is pretty good overall and gives you access to all the settings. One thing I would like to see in the future is displaying what the current audio format is e.g. Dolby digital plus, Dolby Atmos, DTSHD, DTSX etc. Rather than having to try and use the display on the bar itself.

Nada que Smart Things no haga. Además para funcionar requiere el bluetooth prendido (cosa que ST no), e imposible prender y apagar mi barra de sonido. 30 minutos me duró y la desinstalé.

Dissappointed
The Samsung speaker is great but this application is not good. The app is very finicky. I have been trying to set-up the speaker but it keeps me going around in loop after loop after loop. After trying twice for a total of 2 hours I am really surprised that Samsung is not fixing the issues.

Cannot use private listening mode as in SmartThings app that allows nighttime private listening.

но вот мой рецепт для Q990F и iPhone 14pro: обновляем прошивку саундбара через флешку, телефон и бар в одной сети wi-fi 5G, при попытке сопряжения видим проблему (99-006), переводим телефон в сеть 2,4G (хотя саундбар остается в 5G)… повторяем попытку сопряжения… на просьбу приложения перевести телефон обратно в 5G, где и саундбар - исполняем… PROFIT. Кстати в Smarthings сопрягается без проблем, но полноценного управления саундбаром так и не удалось добиться (только неполноценный и тормозной плагин установился)
Doesn’t work
I used the app to start and pair my sound system But after this doesn’t work for controlling it. I tried to find but I couldn’t. I can only launch music apps
Pandora Request
Please add Pandora music to the apps option. And also, add the option to turn the soundbar OFF.
Still needs work
Downloaded to group play speakers. Added Q800D no probs, no luck with Q70T. App just hangs looking for devices, tried QR code, no luck….had to force close to exit out of the searching function, and stopped there.
Things not working
This App is better than Samsung Smarthings if u want to manage just your Samsung audio device. But signin with Alexa doesn’t work, it keeps spinning. I have Alexa app installed in my phone but not working. Also would be nice to have a button to quickly speak with Alexa. It’s an app to improve
Why I bought more Samsung Speakers
Takes some time to learn but the functionality is unbeatable, I can only hope this app stays alive for a LONG time as I just bought some more speakers just for it!

Getting much better
A rough start but now looking good as additional hardware is supported. It would have been good to advise users when they attempt to add a model if it is supported yet or not.
Won’t connect to my network
Useless if you can’t set it up. The older SmartThings app has no issue connecting.
Works, but some things missing
The app itself seems to work OK. However, the Moderate Bass option is missing and I can no longer see the audio codec currently playing (admittedly, this was removed in an update of the Smart things app as well). A few other basic options such as Bluetooth pairing seem to be missing too. I am using the q990f so would have expected the same amount or (hoped) more features available for last years flagship model.

Never able to get this app to work
I’ve never been able to get this app to properly connect to my new Samsung soundbar, model# HW-Q990H. Initially it would not connect at all. I waited a few weeks and later re-download the Samsung Sound app again. This time I was able to get the app to recognize and connect to my soundbar, but even after a connection and streaming music from my iPhone with Apple Music app through Bluetooth…it would not let me control any of the settings on my Soundbar and still acted like it did not recognize my soundbar. Don’t waste your time trying to use this app. Use the Samsung “Smart Things” app instead which will let you manage the settings on your Soundbar and other Samsung devices.
Nouveau
J’ai celui ci depuis ce matin à la place de Smart Things, ce qui est dommage c’est qu’on ne peut pas associer Deezer dans l’application musicale, mais uniquement Spotify et Apple Music, alors que je n’ai pas leur abonnement. Ça serait bien d’intégrer Deezer. Maintenant à voir si l’appli est bien dans le temps.
Official App Non-Support
The official Samsung Sound app,….wait for it….excludes support for ALL of last years (2025) Samsung Soundbar models ie/ HW-Q9**F. Over there in Gumi,S Korea you guys are really smoking too much KimChi
Awful
Soundbar starts disconnecting audio now and must reinstall old app to change device settings not in this app like sleep settings.
WiFi Limitation
After much frustration, I was able to add my Q990H soundbar to the app. The soundbar requires a 5G-only WiFi network; it will not connect to multiband WiFi. Some people may find success by creating a 5G-only guest network, then connecting your phone to that network before trying to add the soundbar to the app. If possible, allow guest network devices to access your local network (LAN). This will allow you to go back to your main WiFi network and still access the soundbar from the app.
Why the bad reviews?
Honestly this app is loads better at connecting to my Q-series soundbar compared to SmartThings. SmartThings - Open App, select devices, select my device, wait, soundbar settings are there. This app - Literally just open it
Can’t get past Wi-Fi Connect
Keeps telling me to go to settings even after making sure phone and network selection point to a 5G network. Terrible setup

Unusable
The SmartThings app always worked fine with my Q990F. It recommended I use this new app. Now it wants to re-setup WiFi for some reason and errors out and can’t connect. Says to remove from Bluetooth settings on my phone, but it’s not there. Now my sound bar is freaking out with the WiFi connection which was perfect before. I’ll just use SmartThings until this app actually works. Maybe I’ll try to factory reset the sound bar and add it again.
Bugs
1. КАЖДЫЙ РАЗ при загрузке требует включить Bluetooth - зачем, если всё уже было подключено ранее, а я пользуюсь AirPlay? 2. при каждом выходе из фона/загрузке приложение перехватывает управление саундбаром, а контент прерывается, даже если в данный момент, саундбар озвучивает TV - я просто хочу изменить настройки звучания... (tv "the Frame", HW-S61D, iphone14 актуальная ios)
