- Replaces doom scrolling habits
- Good for new readers
What they complain about
- Hard to cancel free trial
- Too much scrolling needed
- Verses get cut off short
- Price feels too high
Wow!!! So informative
I have read the book of genesis a million times. With the study verses I finally understand so much more.
Said free trial and charged me immediately
Also, asked me to rate it right after I downloaded it. Makes no sense at all. Haven’t even looked at it yet.
The cost
The app is amazing, but don’t you think that you should make that a little more affordable especially in today’s economy? I can’t swing that. The cos
SCROLLING TOO MUCH
I do not need to scroll after every single verse, it actually makes me not want to use the app how much I have to scroll to read a whole chapter. An option to scroll by page would be perfect.
Minimal
Either I don’t know how to use the app very well or it is stagnant. I wish it would pop up with a new Bible verse every day when you open the app. Instead, it just lingers there on the same message every time I open. Maybe it’s a new app and they’re working on improving or making it more robust
Love the app
Help me stop doom scrolling, and I consider that a win
Disgusting
Social Media is free. The Word of God is free. For an app that claims to try to replace social media and bring Christians to something better, charging 30 dollars a year is crazy. That isn’t a social media replacement. That’s trying to make a buck. If there was a way to proceed for free in the app that I missed, my apologies. If there was it was still unclear and meant to make me pay.
I like this app
I enjoy this app specially for a new bible reader. I do wish there was an audio option instead of reading it for us folks with not so great eyes lol but that would be a great edition to the app, a voice narrator.
Adequate. Longer verses are truncated
This is a good idea. Many of the longer verses will be truncated so cannot read the whole thing. Otherwise it is good to go. In this case I canceled since that was very distracting.
Speechless!!!
I am totally hooked on this app. My ‘aadd/hd’ thanks you very much. This is perfect for me. I am not so easily distracted when reading Gods Word on this app. Praise God for your willingness to listen to God and obey.
Unfair charge
I canceled this subscription well within the 7-day free trial period. I stopped using it after 2 days and even deleted the app off my phone. I was still charged the annual fee for it.
The concept has potential
This app has potential to make a splash, the dice in the top left corner is what I think could give this a chance to be worthwhile. Swipe through verses at random… that could engage the dopamine, and the soul at the same time.
Hourly verse
The hourly verse just rotates between the three same verses there are 66 books in the bible is there a way to rotate more than just the three
The struggle is real!
I have found this app does Help however I had to help myself by remove Facebook off my home screen and put this where it was because Facebook is my doom scroll. Now when I go to get on facebook out of habit I am forced to choose to click on the Bible app or search up facebook. I highly recommend this app and also removing whatever your scrolling addiction is from the Home Screen.
Impossible to cancel
I love the concept of this but I tried canceling before the free trial was over and couldn’t. I have since tried multiple times to cancel on their website after being charged and have been unable. I also messaged them on their Facebook page more support and no answer. Super disappointing
Almost perfect
Knocking one star off because returning users deserve a better discount. Thought that is obvious to everyone.
Never sent the renewal notice as promised before auto payment
More than once while signing up for the free trial STB assures the consumer notifications will be sent prior to auto-renewal. That wasn’t the case for me. I should have set a notification on my calendar, so that’s on me. As I subscribed through the Apple store I am unable to receive a refund. As for the app itself it’s nice, but I can enjoy the YouVersion app for free, with more features and options.
Makes reading easy
Makes reading so easy and enjoyable, I’ve never been so INTO the Bible as now, I needed this, honestly! Thank you Jesus for this!!
Not free
This app is not free. If it is then the user experience needs improvement because before you even get to use the app they want you to pay for it. I’m all for paying and supporting developers but let people use the app first before asking them for money.
Good app
This app is good for people who want to get closer to God and the lord I really recommend it 😊
Hanging through scripture.
Idk how to change the scriptures when I need to look something up.. and that frustrates me that I can’t switch without having to think “HOWWWW DO I DO THIS!?” lol
Best App EVER
This app helped me get into the bible more often and deeply. I’m so happy that someone was able to make such a awesome thing
Yes but no
Gods word should be free.
Good app
Great app helped me read my bible more ,however I wished it had a voice that could read the bible as an option. Overall it is a very useful app for reading the bible more.
The word of God
Such a great way to get into the word of God not saying God needs an app but this is a very useful tool when you don’t have you physical Bible with you
Scam
Tried several times to cancel free trial. Was unable to and billed my card.
A few tweaks
Hey so, my second language is English and I prefer my bible in my own first mother language and if you could like change the language to fit for different languages would be great and another thing is that maybe background music so I still get to listen to something but not with lyrics but just a melody or something That was it hope you do something with these tips Have a lovely day
Deeper Understanding
I love how this app causes me to slowing down in reading the Bible and truly absorb and think about each verse. It helps me meditate on God’s Word. It also feels like scrolling my social feed but only with God’s Word. It helps me dig deeper into the Word and it feels more accessible in this format. This was a genius idea. Well worth the price.
Not free
Religion is not something you should ever have to pay for
So cool
I really like this app. It feeds the want to scroll and the need to read the Bible
Scammmm
Told me it was gonna be a free child but charge me instantly for the download.
Wonderful way to read the Word of God
It’s helped me with understanding the Bible and love how there is an option for a deeper study and historical context too.
Only a subscription model ?
What in the world ?! I have to pay to use the app when I have the Bible at home or I can read it for free online ?!
