What people like
- Soothing voices help you sleep
- Great for connecting with culture
- Clean design is easy to use
What they complain about
- Charges you even after cancelling
- Support never actually helps
- Misleading ads and subscription terms
- No way to preview stories first
Thanks for the great work!
The voice is really neutral which makes it super calming/ I first listened to some stories on youtube then found out about this app.
Fraud Alert
I cancelled my subscription 6 months ago after unknowingly signing up for auto-renewal. (No issues- I emailed and cancelled immediately). They replied that they could not refund me the $39.99 (that old trick) but that I would be taken off auto-renewal and that my subscription was cancelled after the period I just paid. Well 6 months later I got hit with a new fraudulent and unauthorized renewal fee of $89.99. I provided proof of the prior cancellation and they maintain charge is legitimate???!!!! You would think that an app that is meant to teach spirituality would have higher moral standards. Sickening!!!
Great for kids and adults
My kids and I listen to a story every night before bed. The short stories are easy to follow and full of wisdom. It’s both calming and educational—perfect combination!
Inauthentic and expensive
Never was told how much the monthly was and was shocked to find that I’ve been paying 25$ a month for AI narrated 3 minute stories. I wanted something to listen to at bedtime but there’s no auto play or sleep timer so you have to get back in and select and new story every 7 minutes when it stops. It would be worth using if it was free, definitely not worth paying for.
Nice but…
The stories are told in ways that are digestible for everyone. They’re quite nice that said I can’t seem to find a way to continuously play stories and the stories as they are, are too short for me to fall asleep too, and I’m constantly having to play a new one, therefore, interrupting my ability to fall asleep to the stories. Maybe I’m missing something, but I can’t figure out how to get them to continuously play.
A spiritual way to relax
Beautifully narrated stories from Hindu scriptures. I feel more connected to my faith and always sleep better after listening. Highly recommend for anyone seeking peace and reflection.
Unauthorized Charge!! Why is there a charge on this app? It’s not even showing that I authorized!!
There is not even a contact email or number to dispute the charge!! Please reverse it ASAP!!
Faith and calm in one app
This is exactly what I was looking for—something to help me connect with my culture and find peace at night. The stories are gentle, wise, and beautifully told. A must-have.
No new story
No new story is added, misleading advertising once you have gone through all stories within a month that is it. Good listen for the first month.
No Samples
There was no way for me to sample the audios to see if I like them.
High-quality and well designed
I appreciate the clean design and smooth audio. The light/dark mode is a nice touch for night use. Totally worth the subscription for the peace of mind it brings.
Do not download - billing fraud
I was fine with paying a $39 annual subscription for the content, but they started charging $39 a month. I went to cancel the subscription, and it says I have a one year subscription and they keep recurring the charge. I have insisted with the credit card company, and now they are investigating them for fraud because of multiple complaints. Do not download and pay for this app.!
I would invest but…
I would invest but there seems to be a lot of problems with this app including mispronunciation of Sanskrit words, stories not loading or disappearing, and not enough content for the price. Also a big complaint is clarity around subscriptions. I think I’ll hold off for awhile before I spend money on this app until they add much more content and figure out these bug, subscription clarity and content issues. I also hear that the apps overall look is better in the advertising. The stories and graphics in the ads are beautiful and animated compared to the real thing which is very misleading. An app that puts God at the for front should be more ethical and not misleading in my opinion. For $50 CND/year is a lot of money for a new app that has this many flaws. Fix these set backs and I’ll be happy to purchase it. Until then, I wish you all the best
Great idea, execution needs development
Well narrated and a fairly good selection of stories. It’s a shame you can’t see the full titles of the stories before playing them, they are obscured by the pictures. A search option is needed - for example search Shiva and all Shiva stories are grouped together. It would also be nice to have them grouped by texts - Mahabharata, Vedas, Tantrika etc. I love the idea of this app and would definitely use it but it’s limited in its current form and I probably wouldn’t subscribe for long. A try before you buy option is needed too as many people don’t sign up for apps without previewing the content. The marketing suggests video to accompany the stories but they are actually just audio. I do like the background options. Could be a fantastic educational app with a bit more thought and development. I teach Religious Studies to high school so if you’d like further ideas please get in touch. I’d like to see this succeed. 😊🙏
Peaceful and uplifting
This app has become part of my nightly routine. The stories are soothing and full of meaning. I love the soft background sounds—they really help me wind down after a long day.
Don’t waste your time
The app logged me out after two day of having it. Never would let me log in, customer service is a joke. Crickets of a response from them. Also the stories are just an AI voice with poor pronunciation. Find a different app if you want hindu stories
Pronunciation, authenticity and premium
Conceptually great. Pronunciation - it gets very annoying when the narrator keeps saying goverkhan mountain instead of Gowardhan mountain. Authenticity- there are various versions of the story, however the logic and subsequent cause and effect has always been the same in stories. Because the logic is diverted the stories seems in-authentic. Lastly why is there a premium version over and above the paid version. I paid for the app and then found out I have access to certain stories only for 14 days. I want my kid to listen to these over and over again and again. The premium over paid makes me feel that I am being fleeced. Wait for another or better version than this.

Honestly love nidrana
The program is great I am really happy with it
Joke
Please try to respect your women first. Try to preach good to your people.Haha.. Teaching the world all the negativity about the hinduism. So funny and developed by someone other than Hindu!what a joke and with all that twisted tales…..
Incredible app!!!
Haven’t used it in a while but it’s super convenient thanks!
This is a scam! Do not download this app
I purchased one month for $6.99 and then my card got charged $29.99 a few days later without my authorization. Very bad karma for Nidrana.
Peaceful app!
Great app I ended up getting the premium version
Do not download
I canceled this app with in an hour of of downloading and they have attempted to charge my at least 7 times since.
Wonderful and peaceful stories!
Makes me forget all my problems...
Overcharging card
App is charging my card $60+ when I had not changed my subscription. Please be careful before giving them any payment info
Love Nidrana!
This is the best place to slow down and connect with yourself and your soul
Overpriced
This app continues to try to charge me. I cancelled the app use before the supposed trial time and it has been attempting to charge me several times different amounts for what? It seems like a scam be aware and if you try it use a prepaid card.
No access to stories
I can’t get access to listen anymore I don’t know why
Pay Before You Hear Sample?
I like the idea of this app very much. But what kind of app asks you to pay before even getting a sense of the product? My advice: post examples and I will consider subscribing if the quality merits it.
