Fire app
This is a great app i love it
Got charged $45 when I thought I had the free version.
If I had known I was going to have to pay for the app, I wouldn’t have downloaded. I was told it would be free. Now I have my iCloud locked because I’m not paying the $45 for an app. So no longer am I able to update ANYTHING on my phone.
Great but huge suggestion
Me and my boyfriend love this app and keeping our streak. Being able to ask different things of each other that remind me of that getting to know you stage. But I would say the only suggestion I could make is a streak shield. Sometimes we have days without our phone and it’s just something that would be awesome to not have to deal with a $3 charge to keep the streak going.
Very upset
I hate that I have to pay for it now me and my cousin the app to stay in touch while she’s in college I don’t understand while using the app for about 4 months now neither of us can’t keep our streak going and communicate through random questions who ever is behind this randomly decides to change it and now neither of us can communicate freely I will not be paying

Terrible Update
The latest update completely ruined the app. It was already trying to make you pay for the app in various ways. However in the newest update they have limited you even further, to the point where you cannot do much without spending money. Even the simple games…. Like cmon you can find these games online for free but can’t play here for free? Hope this app genuinely crashes and burns. I would spend $5 to full unlock the app but that isn’t a choice. $40 a year for a couple questions a day and games I could play online for free elsewhere…. Yeah right lol

I have the NSFW tab turned on in settings, but I saw an NSFW question in the daily challenge, it must not apply to the daily challenge, please fix!!!

It started out fine answering like 4 questions a day and being able to see each others photos but now it only lets us answer 2 questions and I currently can’t even see my boyfriend’s answer’s to the questions and I can’t see the photo he sent
Asking my partner a question
Instead of my partner seeing, “This is something I wanted to ask you” you should have the person asking that question be able to answer it too. I may skip that prompt because I don’t want my partner to know that I wanted to ask that question.

All Things Candle and Feature Suggestion
I enjoy using Candle, especially the home screen widgets and most of the conversation prompts. The app does a great job of helping my partner and me stay connected, and I appreciate the intention behind it. One feature I would love to see is the ability to create custom question categories. Currently, the monthly check-in allows users to create one question, but it would be great to either create an entire category of personalized questions or have a way to submit questions for consideration in future categories. I would also like more control over the types of prompts that appear. Some of the more off-the-wall questions aren’t always relevant to us, so having the option to filter or customize prompt styles would improve the experience. Overall, the number of categories feels somewhat limited. If a couple spends more than 15 minutes at a time in the app, it’s easy to run out of new content. While I enjoy the app and it helps us maintain connection, I sometimes feel that my partner and I would get more engagement from playing virtual card games together over the phone than from using the app for extended periods. Expanding the prompt library, adding more categories, and increasing customization options would make Candle a much more engaging experience for couples who use it regularly.

This app is super fun and helpful for me and long distance partner! Customer support was very quick and helpful when my partner lost their old phone to the ocean and couldn’t log back in! We love this app!

Absolutely impossible to get a hold of customer service. Tried to get my phone number changed to my new one and they responded once but then not after I provided the new phone number. Don’t use a phone number for to open the account!

Brushing
At first the drawing feature was awesome and smooth. The longer I had the app the more the drawings turned into laggy, lines that were blocky in comparison to the previous drawings. I don’t know if this is from an update or just because I’ve had the app for a long time but it is really annoying!!!
Greatest app overall
I had pookie year subscription I even had widgetable but they always got boring and never kept the relationship feeling alive with Candle there is so much more fun and idea’s to create together if you liked pookie app then you’ll love this one
Charged me $50 after cancelled
They literally charged me $50 out of nowhere after I canceled two weeks prior. Then on top of that when I figured you know what I’ll just give it a try it’s already paid for I send it to my partner and they want him to pay separately as well. Wild
Fun but…
I love this app but sometimes the questions can be a bit odd. Like my partner having fun time with someone else??? Idk about you but I don’t appreciate seeing that question first thing in the morning😅 I like the daily photos though those are so cute! And the premium just doesn’t need to be there. Let people have fun without money!

Every other day it needs me to update the app to keep using it, you don’t need that many updates, alright.

This is a great app that you can use the free version and still get a lot out of it. It reminds me of “we’re not really strangers” but with little fun things to do outside of the questions. I may eventually purchase the premium but for now I am enjoying it as it is.

Camera doesn’t work?
The app is super cute for me and my boyfriend the thing is the camera doesn’t work sometimes. I’ve checked in the settings and everything is working and I’ve updated the app multiple times but the camera just doesn’t work. It takes the picture and then doesn’t upload I think?? It’s super sad. Everything else works great tho
best connection growth tool & conflict resolver
The questions are great. They’re not nothing but surface level stuff. and during simple conflict silence it’s the best icebreaker and way to gently say I’m sorry. You can’t get much better.

Not bad - could improve
I’m on day 24 with my partner. We love a lot of things about the app and getting to find out new things about each other. I do have an inkling that the devs possibly used AI to create these questions, though, which makes it feel a bit detached. The questions are also becoming repetitive, no matter which category we choose. I’ve also noticed that many times, the questions don’t line up with the category. Thinking we will switch apps at some point once we hit the end of the questions and they begin to repeat consistently. One minor irritating thing that I wish would change.. the streak pop up. Every time I click on a category of questions, I get the “day __ streak!” Notification requiring me to tap “I’m committed to them” button to continue. I know we are on a streak! It tells us as soon as we finish the daily questions! I don’t need a pop up every single time I open a new category if I already got the notification once.
Great but could be better
My boyfriend and I have gotten good use of this app. There’s been some fun questions and we like the thumb kiss feature. Weve been using it about a year and are now maybe getting a little bored though. I think the unhinged icebreakers and controversial questions seem a little safe. I also feel like there could be some more creative activities besides the shared drawings (which I like). Maybe stuff w stickers? Maybe more drawing prompts? Not sure but just feels like it needs a little spicing up. That said we’ve really enjoyed using this app and have gotten really good use of it. There’s lots of fun questions and categories and I’d definitely recommend.
