Waste of time
I got it because of the smart glasses i got. It requires you scan a QR code that didn’t come with the glasses so i cant even use it now. The support page is all Chinese. Don’t get this.

Does Job
The only compliant I have is with translation covering entire screen on video calls. This needs to be corrected only cover bottom half of screen. I don't understand why want translation to cover person's face you are talking with.

Useless
It was a gift and I don’t have the QR to bind. Why does it need to “bind” when the earphones are connected.
Need some improvements
The Ear Dance translation app works quite well, and I find it better than many other apps on the App Store. However, the only limitation is that it cannot run in the background or remain active when switching to another window. As a result, the screen must stay on continuously, which quickly drains the battery. I hope the app will be updated soon to support background operation or allow users to switch to other windows without interrupting the translation process.
Feature removed
I purchased this product because it had the option to use the app without the earbuds. After the last update, that creature was removed. Because of my job, I needed it.
I like to cuss
I love the app and would love for the app to allow me to translate curse words instead it gives me a lot of ***** instead of the actual word that I have said and it has been said to me. If they fix that for us adults then I’ll be pretty much good. Oh and I want them to add creole.

Takes a bit to figure it out but fun tiins once you get it.... No idea where in app you can download offline language packs?? Need these please!!!
Outdated AI
The AI engine that powers this app is Qwen 2.5, which was introduced in 2024. The newest, latest Qwen is 3.0. Basically, this AI model powering this app thinks it's 2024 and actually wants to argue with you if you correct it. Bottom line, it's an outdated AI model and needs to be updated. In today’s fast moving world of AI technology, a 2 year old version is beyond outdated and well past its prime. Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc are all better choices than Qwen 2.5. This app still has potential, but they have to update.
Not as many languages
You would think for the price that there would be a better variety of languages, especially some popular ones that are spoken like Creole. Good quality headphones but for what they’re supposed to do definitely need more work.

Not vey receptive
I wrote a review and it seems it was instantly deleted, but nonetheless, the ear buds seem to be rather dull, like the individual has to speak loudly and clearly to pick it up.

I will admit, the sound quality is top notch if you’re like me and like good quality sounding music with good beat bass. I’m kinda partial to my Skull Candy earbuds and headphones, but these give them a run for the money. Connectivity is good with no issues. As far as the translation goes, it’s garbage. You can only translate whatever single language you pick from the list and that’s it, and you always have to have your phone in your hand to refer to while translating. You can’t just throw your buds in, go to the store where there’s multiple languages being spoken and have them translate everything automatically on the fly. You have to automatically know what language the person is speaking, select it from your phone, and then only hear what that one person is saying. Then you have to do the same with the next person/language. A real pain in the rear. And the app is pretty much useless. Good buds, but if you’re thinking about buying for translation purposes, don’t bother. You’ll be disappointed as I am.

Trickery
I have used these off and on for the past several months. They actually worked well at the start. Then, with each successive software upgrade more and more bugs were introduced into the system. It got to the point where they were hardly usable at all. After the last update the app demands that I use some kind of QR code. There was no QR code when I purchased the ear pieces. I have been using them for six months without a connection problem. Originally the app recognized that it was their own proprietary earpieces. Now it’s demanding I use a QR code out of a blue moon. Now it’s worthless without that code. The new software update won’t allow me to use the translation devices. What a pathetic scam. As a result, I DO NOT recommend ever buying a product from a company such as this one.

The music plays to loud and out of only one of two speakers. And I can’t use the ai because I try to ask a question and it answers in three different languages. I asked what year it was a it says 2023 and the year is 25’. I really am disappointed that I had to spend $50 on the glasses . Don’t sell these or fix them.

The app would be much better if it had an “eavesdrop mode” that would just continuous translate without interruption. I’d like to know what my wife is saying in conversation m.

There’s not very many languages on this system. I find that very poor. I’ve been to some countries that I could’ve used a language translator, but This one doesn’t have the languages giving it a one

Latest update killed my buds
Doesn’t work anymore
Earbuds are good audio quality
But the translation portion I bought them for is worthless. I am an ESL teacher and this app was slow, kept shutting off. It would not pick up my students talking unless they were yelling at my phone and super delayed. I want to be able to put some earphones on and hear the translation as my students speak. I had to keep clicking my phone bc it just was not picking the speaking up

Horrible App
App is extremely difficult to use. I want to use it for live translation - listening to my friends converse in Thai. It doesn’t appear to be able to do this.

Earphones are good. No connection problems whatsoever. App is no good for anything but Chinese, English and interpreting anything from Chinese or English into the language of your choice. For me, I am trying to understand Laotian, Thai, and Nepalese. When people who speak those languages speak into my phone, it turns what it hears into broken English and feeds that back to me in whatever language I choose 😑 yay… I hope it’s just that it’s ai and needs trained. Completely useless rn. If it changes, I’ll change my review. For now, it’s the poor man’s one-way Google Translate.
Sound good, but drops calls ALL THE TIME.
When it works, the sound is good, but you can’t make it far without losing the call. It doesn’t just switch to your phone, it hangs up on the person. It’s so annoying to have to keep calling back!

Only good for short conversations
This app connects seamlessly and has a reasonable delay in Free Talk with a satisfactory machine Translation. Another good feature is that it connects with weak WiFi. However it disconnects when no one talks for over 30 seconds. I find this annoying because I have to frequently click on record to restart the conversation.

This is a great product, tried French to English. English to Filipino. Filipino to French. And it all worked perfectly. I really enjoyed it

The J90 Pro will NOT acknowledge permissions for the microphone to work therefore you can’t talk and use any of th features. Scanned QR downloaded app nothing works
