Fun game, lacks endgame content
It’s fun to play, when there’s stuff to do. I’m at max player level and there isn’t much to do outside the daily tasks that can be done in 2 minutes. Also please add controller support for mobile I know PC supports it

It’s OK.
I LOVE YOSTAR! Don’t get me wrong. But what actually is this game? TLDR: It’s aight… I want to play more but there’s no compulsion to do so. Gacha: maybe the greediest gacha of all time. In any instance, at least in the limited banners, it’s a 6% chance to get ANY character and 1 of that 6% goes to the featured character of the limited summon. Which is cool. Not bad at all, other than the fact that you’re not getting pitied until 150 summons AND getting gems after lvl 20 is sluggish Story: purely a means to get gems. However, the story is actually pretty nice! I love ch 4 and 6. The way the characters interact with the mc is just delicious. And the paths and decisions they implemented make it kind of fun to see what happens… in chapter 6 at least. Community interaction: so far? None. Not even a guild system. Friends? Yes, apu, but no chats or anything. Can’t even know if someone is actively Online. Wild work. An in game community makes or breaks a game. We’re looking pretty broken rn. Combat: fun! A lot of visuals are great and the kits are comfortable. However, the fight is almost never against the enemies and more against time. The goal is to 3* these thicc trials over anything. They don’t actually pose threat. Plus and a minus. I do like that different builds can serve different purposes, so it’s not like there’s NO reason to explore all sides of a character. Progression: levels, unlocks, and playability just sucks. You unlock some trials that you can’t even 3* until you unlock a higher ascension. Max a character and ya can’t even do anything with it. Iykyk. It just doesn’t flow right it’s really hard to describe in words. And dude they give you a lvl18 record for the 4* characters right? At lvl 15 acct lvl… Yeah you’ll be using that and only that, rendering any other character lowkey useless because you cannot make a team as strong or stronger for a good bit. (You get access to like lvl14 record max at acct lvl 15. Crazy displacement.) in short. It DOESNT FLOW AT ALL. And when you finally reach a point where things stabilize, it just takes ages to get everything together and get a flow going. It’s just… icky. Stamina & rewards: progression section is too long, so here we go. THE STAMINA IS SO SMALL AND THERES SO MUCH TO DO BRUH!!! Like we have 0 Stam. On top of that, you gain NO RESOURCES for doing EVERYTHING. This ties back to progression cause dude how am I trying to upgrade my lvl 60 characters but I have to spend 400 stam to get enough xp to get ONE to 70. Are we serious? Increase drop rates by maybe 30% and it’ll be balanced cause the trials are WAY to expensive and they give NOTHING!!! You’re forced to move as slow as a slug cause you get nothiiiing and have no stammmina. Overall: I’ll keep playing just cause it’s YOSTAR. I’m a devoted customer. I do like that you do so little that it becomes low commitment, and I like that a little. Otherwise, the game is kinda bad. Pretty ok.

Overlooked
Smooth game play, decent hack and slash no loot unfortunately. Gacha is mid. Skin in battle pass is mid. I do wish they had a mode for a continuous dungeon instead of just square then elevator. Like Diablo. Game got some good music
The battle pass sucks bad
My only big gripe is the battle pass has no real skin it’s still just a background for your main menu which makes it pretty pointless especially when it’s like 20$
Sparks but…
Game is nice except that there is 50/50 and no guarantee after losing a 50/50. I lost 4 50/50s in a row and had the 2 sparks. That ironically is worse than hoyoverse gacha. Thankfully, I haven’t and will not spend money on this. Everytime you gacha, you risk being very unlucky and unhappy afterwards if you lose consecutive 50/50s. For your sanity and wallet, I would advise against being too invested in this game.
the game is great
The story and the gameplay are just fine. The gacha system is perfectly usable. As far as everyone complaining about it being too expensive. May I remind you that it cost double for both Enfield and honksi Star rail gacha pulls. plus with all daily rewards and events you get enough for a least two free pulls.

What’s the point of having two protagonists if only one gets featured on promotional material?
Good but farming materials is hard
The game is pretty good except collecting enough materials to evolve characters and discs.This takes too many time unlike other gacha games.Therefore,i would like the dev to add the feature:using disc to evolve disc levels so we don’t need to spend many times farming solely on materials.Also the discs not used could be not wasted.Many gacha games do this like Hoyoverse ones:light cones in Star Rail,…
The game is getting boring under 1 month after it launched.
Fun at first sight but getting boring over time. Lot of fixing from dev, it a good thing that they take action overtime but isn’t it supposed to not have any problems before launch. And lot of strange systems in game idk if I like it or not it kinda weird for me about how the game should play, it like a gacha game that the power of the character depends on your another luck to find a good “RECORD” for the character. Last thing is every resource in this game is getting insufficient so easily so I don’t think I like that too especially energy.
Change the summons back
Before launch, currency to summon was half as much. Change it back. Don’t be greedy, Black beacon just shut down, you want to follow in its footsteps?

Audio focus forever turned on
If there’s one thing I can’t forgive, it’s mobile games that have this feature. I listen to audiobooks, podcasts, and music. I understand you guys want us to listen to the music u so painstakingly put together, but no I won’t. There’s no option to turn it off, it forever has audio priority. Bad decision on the devs part
Good for story, not for gacha
The reviews on this game seem mixed, with some who adore the story and some who loathe the gacha rates and lack of free pulls. I personally lean towards the former, as the story - Spoiler alert for story - raises interesting questions about what it means to own a soul in this world. Nobody really knows here, and the one person who might refuses to disclose information until you get more souls. Right now the story is small with 6 chapters that can be beat in 2-3 days. As the story continues to grow, I know the gacha will become more important to progression, but I don’t feel equipped to speak on the gacha given that I didn’t really care about it and as such did not investigate the claims being made about it. Progression was fine regardless, but only because of free energy items. (Yes this game has an energy system) I always have plenty of XP to level up my characters, but getting tier up materials is harder, as the fights to get them cost energy. Designs are great, no matter why you care about them. Tl;dr it has good story but isn’t really worth playing once you’re caught up with it. I hear gacha is bad but you don’t really need too much of it to progress. Oh yeah meta is to go all in on one element Ok imma go into hibernation until chapter 7 releases byeeeeeeee

Game is fun but...
The gameplay and story and characters are great and all, but the BIGGEST problem with the game is how little premium currency you get for doing anything in this game. The acquisition rates haven't been adjusted from when a 10 pull costed 1500 gems from beta, which fit that way more obviously. But the price is double now, so we're getting pretty much nothing from our gameplay
Easy to get all characters
The game is very generous and F2P friendly and many F2P players have every character so far. The gacha system is fairer than other games like Arknights or Hoyo. And they’ve given out 300+ pulls for the standard banner already and I’m already maxed out on dupes of one of the standard characters. The story is also great, with great writing and an overarching plot, and it feels pretty reminiscent of a proper JRPG story wise. The music is also wonderful, and it’s on par with Blue Archive for soundtracks to vibe with. Gameplay wise, it’s a lite vampire survivors-lite type of game, with gameplay keeping bite sized mobile gameplay in mind instead of something grander like a console game. New content for gameplay is also slow to nonexistent at times, so it’s not something with a lot of casual staying power. Overall I recommend it, but really only if you enjoy the story, characters, and lore. Gameplay seems to be a secondary focus at the time of this review.

Great gameplay, maybe bad gacha
Updating my review from 1 to 3 stars. Initially I gave this a 1 star because of how greedy the gacha is, but the event rewards seem decent so far, and people have done the math on the pulls/pity and it comes out comparable to other games. Waiting to see how it progresses after this first event, but for now we get a reasonable amount of free gems for pulls. That being said, the gameplay is great. Love the roguelite monolith and other games. And the waifus be waifing

You can tell all the 5 star reviews are fake because they sound non realistic almost AI generated. Anyone that plays the games knows this game lacks content and resources. Is a casual game to play for 5-10 minutes nothing more.

Now that the games been out for a bit, the game overall is fairly decent. I previously gave the game a 1* because of the seeming lack of pull income. But it turns out to be not so bad? Maybe I’m just getting lucky. I still don’t recommend spending money on the game unless you are out right buying gem packs. The game is solid for f2ps just don’t expect to get every everything. And the game gives out free 5* discs. If you enjoy cute and potentially funny characters, it’s an alright pick. Building a character might be more expensive than getting them ngl, but that can just be because the game is still relatively new.

Character art: 7/10 Could be more unique but overall has a really nice art style Story: I don’t read the story of gacha games lol idk why i added this Gameplay: 6/10 Combat is fun, no rng artifacts/add-ons, fairly easy to build a good team. Top down view was a bit weird when I first started the game and hopefully there will be/is an option to adjust the camera zoom. Gets quite boring after a while tho Grindiness: 4/10 There are a lot of ways to earn the wishing currrency and in the future, I believe you can also visit previous events which is amazing for players who join later. You’re not forced to read the story (you can if you want to though!). Overall I can see myself playing it casually. Music: 7/10 Not a lot of thoughts about the music tbh. It’s nice. Gacha: 6/10 I saw a lot of people complaining about the gacha system on the subreddit, the new player rewards are quite generous btw but I think they should lower the requirement to 200-275 so that it’s more in line with the other gacha games I suck at making reviews and I haven’t played the game that much but I think 3 stars is fine

Despite the negativities and issues this game has, I’m still enjoying it overall! The devs should add more content for player engagement!
Cheats and exploits galore
Plagued by cheaters. This game makes you feel like you have 0 chance to compete as an honest player. The winner of the leaderboard had a boss kill time of 0:00:000 literally impossible. I have a capped team of level 90 hero's ranked 15000th with people in the top slots have teams in the 20's!!! Again impossible!! Oh well if you don't spend money and enjoy the art there is still some joy to be had.
Great game, terrible gacha pricing
Would give the game a 5 star review if the cash shop and pull economy wasn’t so terrible. The game itself is great but it will take you 3-4 months as a F2P or light spender to guarantee a character after the initial batch of freebies are over.

Monetization is terrible
I’ve played faithfully since launch, but their unwillingness to address the monetization issue has finally led me to uninstall. There are so many good gacha games that actually care about their players. Nobody is going to play a game that demands so much and rewards you with so little.
Good game, bad marketing
Music, characters, story and gameplay are really good overall. A lot of drama in gacha community around the gacha but the game is giving a lot of stuff to accomplish a lot in my opinion. The only bad thing Yostar done is to change the gacha rates just a day before release. Bad move to make money and a good community around the game. Other than that, really good game.
Gacha Monetization is Scummy
good game, but has the most horrible gacha monetization in the market. i dont want this game to EoS, so I hope Yostar makes the right decision and listen to the community. Far too pricey for not even a mediocre amount of pulls.
