Great insight, awkward Gen Z appeal
One of the best apps I’ve found for learning things like business ideas and branding growth. The small chats before the lessons are super annoying though. It’d be much better without those in my opinion.
Meh
Stole my money. Customer service is super unhelpful.
Good but…
There’s a lot of repetition of questions
Lots of potential
This app is where I started to learn tarot. I dedicated myself to learning from here and did not realize until I bought my first actual deck that the app cuts off a lot of the cards. Some of the things talked about here describing the cards were hard to understand because you literally can’t see it in the image they provide because it’s cut off. I reached out to Astra about this three times. The first time I was told they would look into it, the other two times I was completely ignored. Since I now only use this app to reference cards when I don’t have them on me, it’s no good to me anymore and I’m trying to get a refund. In addition, I’m not convinced anyone is proof reading their AI created info and quiz questions. A few times things were very confusing or simply wrong. Also the format of the training became mundane over time because it felt like there was no variety in it. This is all unfortunate because over all this app has some great potential. But if the tarot cards are inaccurate, that’s a deal breaker.
The new update today is BAD
Wow please change this update it’s terrible, especially for the readings
Thank you daddy
Happy Valentine’s Day! This app is everything I’ve ever needed. Highly recommend to all other me’s out there.
Reeks of ChatGPT
See title
Back arrow
I’m loving and learning lots with this app. But what happened to the back arrow within the lessons? The only option now to review a page or two back is to leave the lesson entirely and restart from the beginning. This is annoying and frustrating. Please restore the back arrow within the lessons.
False Subscription
I wish I could give a better review because the app itself is nice. The tarot card breakdowns are fine and to the point. I enjoyed it so much I made the jump and I signed up for the year subscription. HOWEVER, I’m still not able to continue with the tarot learning path. When I go to move to the next card, it asks that I subscribe. I’ve contacted the developer and nothing. Astra Trainer was very quick to take my money, however their response time is HORRENDOUS.
Was a good app once!
Was a really good app, but since they have updated it and put lots of other bits in (which never work!!). I’ve can’t seem to use it, without it going wrong. 😢
So far so good!
So far just starting I’ve learned more in this interactive approach than just reading a book or website. The words used help me picture the meaning in a way that I’ll remember - the sword slicing the air; wand lighting passion and fire ; cup flowing with water and emotions; pentacles grounding and material! Just a snippet of the connections I was missing!
Deceitful pricing!
The app itself seems pretty good, I tried the demo lesson to see if I’d like it, I enjoyed it and it said to subscribe for £4.99 a month and cancel any time, so I thought for that much I’ll try it for a month to see if I’d enjoy it… they’ve taken a whole years worth and charged me £59.99! I cannot find a way to unsubscribe and get my money back! £4.99 isn’t too bad for me to try it for a month but didn’t want to pay a whole years worth of I don’t like the app after a month or so!!
Awesome but…
I’m partially blind and even with my settings adjusted, the print won’t become larger
Repetitive but structured
Daily lessons will keep you on track, but those lessons are repetitive and probably AI generated. The rest of the app is a MESS. Games and side quests that are never explained. There is no search or help function. Important concepts are never explained. Just buy a book.
Explain the difference
What’s the difference between just having a year (of something?), or maybe the Tarot? Or the University? Everything is $119. But I want to try different classes. So what do I do? Which do I pick?
Instead of doom scrolling!
I’ve always been interested in astrology, numerology and tarot, but never had an easy format with which to learn. I came across this app and tried the first free lesson before bed one night, and realized that not only did I learn a lot, but I could absolutely see this cutting down on my nightly social media use as well. Now, instead of doom scrolling those few minutes before I get tired enough to sleep, I use this. I also use it if I wake up in the middle of the night and cannot get back to sleep. I really enjoy the lessons and seem to be retaining them well. I’m excited to finally learn, and I definitely recommend. I hope they add a Human Design training section one day soon!
Only yearly option
Good information on the trial but it’s ridiculous not to have a monthly option, only a yearly one!
Great content, but fix the bugs!
Great content, learning a lot. Membership is absolutely worth it. When I leave the app to take notes and go back into Astra, there is a long delay before you can do anything in the app. Can’t click to continue or go back.
Good but expensive
I really liked the demo, but it’s way too expensive. There needs to be a way to go monthly. The website says they don’t offer monthly because they’re “not looking for casual visitors” meanwhile monthly doesn’t always mean casual.. it just means more accessible and affordable.
Love but $$$
Amazing app but is way too expensive!!
Definitely helpful
I have enjoyed the review of the tarot cards. I do find, though, that in some of the lessons the answers to the questions are not presented, until after the questions are presented. Also, in explaining the symbols, often in the little quizzes, the definitions are switched. Otherwise, it’s a great app. It has helped me become more confident.
so much money
it won’t let me buy a single month. like what am i going to do with a whole year. why would i spend $120 for a whole year to learn tarot man all any person needs is a month or two 😭💀
Strong Foundation, Could Benefit from More Distinction
I enjoy using this tarot app and find the interpretations thoughtful and easy to connect with overall. One thing I’ve noticed is that in future and outcome questions, the app sometimes provides answers like “a time” versus “a period.” These responses feel repetitive and don’t fully make sense, as a time and a period essentially mean the same thing in this context. More distinction or nuance between these interpretations would make the readings feel deeper and more intentional. As a 4th-generation tarot card reader, I appreciate the care behind this app and see a lot of potential for refinement.
Love the style too pricey
I love the style of the app I found the demo really fun but it’s just so pricey and I can’t afford it unfortunately.
Cool app but expensive
Tried the demo out and it’s definitely better with how it explains cards than competitors. Only issue is the lack of monthly subscription as an option. Not everyone has 100 bucks on hand for a yearly plan. I’d pay 10-15 a month for a subscription when I have the money but yearly or lifetime being the only options available is going to price a lot of potential users out. Which is a shame because it’s super cool. Being able to exchange readings with other users is a game changer.
Edited (Why can't I log in?)
I am at home now, on my home network and when I opened the application, I was already logged in. This is a problem. Also, I found where to report technical issues: there is a link in the App Store page for Astra Trainer, near the bottom. So I will be using this to report this issue. I have been working through the Major Arcana and for some reason, was auto-logged out. Now it will not let me log in. I paid for a lifetime subscription to this application. That I am unable to access it is very concerning. Also, I can find no method of contacting technical assistance, so, that is the reason for this review.
AI slop
This entire app appears AI generated. There are annoying emojis for seemingly no reason, the em dash, and really fake and forced emotive statements.
Love it, but synonyms!!
I love it, but I have a personal preference related to the challenges. I hate the ‘fill in the blank’ questions where you have to enter an exact word. You might have grasped the characteristics of the sign but can’t recall the exact word used. I keep failing these questions, so it really is a personal problem. LOL
Not like Duolingo!
Tbh this app gets VERY repetitive after a while, which is completely against the value they are trying to promote. Tbh, I feel like it was done through GPT. If you want to learn tarot this is def not the right way
Helpful, but definitely written by AI
I’ve been using this app for the past month to learn tarot. The “Duolingo” type of learning is very helpful and I appreciate having the quizzes while learning each card. However, these are clearly written but AI and not checked for repetitiveness or grammar. I wish someone had gone through to make sure they all make sense and are accurate. Especially doing the card challenges where they don’t seem to cover all of the cards, even if there’s 30 questions. For the amount of money spent, it would be appreciated if a human went through everything to make sure the app is worth it.
Love this app but
Great app but I'm pretty sure Mercury doesn't rule the pineal gland. It rules the mind, thinking and communication. You have it listed as ruling pineal gland I. The magician tarot card
HUGE cost to access app
$20/mth (sometimes discounted to $10/mth) with the lowest tier being a one year contract. I don’t mind paying for an app, but the terms are inaccessible for those seeking knowledge on limited income.
Needs Improvement
It has the information you need, but needs improvement. It’s a very basic interface without much esthetic. The AI written scripts are too corny. A lot could be summarized, but is dragged out for the sake of content. Informationally? It has what you need.
Welp
I love the concept but when I try to do lessons it doesn’t save my place which can be infuriating especially when the app crashes. It crashed twice in less than an hour. I would love a monthly subscription option too. Then I’d consider buying it. But those problems need to be fixed first.
Great Platform, Terrible Price
I took the free lesson on tarot and found it informative and it clearly showed effort in building upon self-learning. However, the price for this app is way too expensive. More than double/triple what I would expect. There is only yearly & lifetime options available and they are very expensive for information you can get for free elsewhere. A monthly option and cheaper pricing would make this app more appealing.
Easy Intro
I’ve decided to purchase the subscription because the trial was very helpful and organically learned.
NOT LIKE DUOLINGO
They love this ad as “Duolingo for tarot” but this is a convoluted DIY not guided over explained google-able explanation for each card. Pretty sure written by AI. Save yourself the time and money and just buy a tarot deck and study the book it comes with. I’m sad I fell for the scam.
Solid App!
Great for mastering card meanings and interpretations. Very insightful.
Probably good
Only useful if you want to pay them.. better to find free information online.
AI
It's not bad for memorizing the basic meaning of tarot cards but I'm not a fan of the repetitive AI writing style.
Very Happy with This
This app has been great so far. It goes into such depth and really helps improve your tarot reading abilities! Love it!
Too expensive
This is one of those apps that forces you to sign up for an account before telling you there are pricey subscription fees in order to use. Save yourself the annoyance and skip this one
Very Useful!
Really useful for anyone looking to delve into astrology. The lessons on planetary meanings and houses were well laid out. Just wish there were even more examples!
Can’t pay monthly
The trial at the start was good however you do need to pay after that but cannot pay monthly. You can either buy 3 months straight up, a lifetime or a year but there’s not shorter version?!
Seems like a great app but no monthly subscription option
Lots of people can’t afford to pay a years lump sum all at once, a monthly subscription option would make things way more accessible for people in different financial situations, spiritually and learning shouldn’t just be accessible to people who have a lot of money all at once
Great!
I love it. It is very informative and breaks things down to be easily interpreted.
App Freezes
Unable to continue training as app freezes and won’t open - also very annoying that each time you use it you have to scroll through to find where you left off last time - would be nice if app took you to next step automatically (well actually it would be nice if app opened at all or if the support team ever answered their emails) …
Distracting emojis everywhere
This is a great app so far, but the emojis within every sentence feels childish and makes the scanning of the text really distracting. They’re scattered everywhere, they’re not needed. It’s the only thing putting me off reading more sections at a time.
Sorta worth the price
There’s a lot of lessons (hundreds) and concepts are explained simply using metaphor and concision. But sometimes the questions are stupid, like asking me if a certain sign should watch its gut health or stress management.. shouldn’t we all?? Or asking me twice where a sign falls in the zodiac. It’s also very obviously written by AI, which I personally do not mind as a tool but I do not like lack of transparency about it. I think the main advantage of this app is how it teaches you through engaging metaphors and concise explanations. Honestly I could have just uploaded a bunch of astrology books to ChatGPT and asked it to do the same, but I guess this app saves me time. I probably won’t purchase another subscription after mine runs its course.
