What is going on?
This app just reset my start date WTF. Then I tried to restore it and it resets my sober date today! Utterly frustrated I will find another way to track this. Get out of here.!
Limit
I just got this app a few minutes ago, I like it so far but I don’t understand something. Why is there a limit? I struggle with 3 things and I wanted to add the third thing but it said something about the limit being reached. This app is good though. I am currently tracking 2 things. Would have been 3 though…. The 3 are kinda serious. Overall, good app so far.
You have to pay for it now
I used to love this app and really relied on its community aspect, but now I can’t even access it because it won’t let me verify my account. It feels like this is just a way to force me to pay for the app.
Good app but too many AI generated posts in the communities
Really tired of scrolling through 5 paragraph, completely AI generated stories about sobriety in the communities. It is the most hollow and pathetic way of conveying "your" "feelings" (aka what chatgpt thinks about getting sober) on your sobriety journey. Also very tired of AI generated images and men posting thirst traps. Lots of weird content for an app that's otherwise good for its intended purpose.

Community
I live in the uk and used this app previously. It used to be amazing because you could speak to so many people around the world with the same struggles as you. Now it’s asking me to be verified (which it won’t then let me pay or do) and I been in the app for years and never had this before. Really disappointed, as this was my go to app in hard times

Having used this app a few years ago to help me give up smoking and now redownloading it and seeing all the things that made it a great app - such as logging urges and having free access to the community, which were big things in helping me quit - you now have to pay for 👎🏾

I love this app personally, it has helped me alot just to be able to see the progress ive made which helps keep me determined to continue. AND you can only track 2 things for free, then you gotta pay but thats it. the online community is fking awesome and theres alot of great people, although there is no 1 on 1 chat option. i would reccomend 🤪🤪

It’s so stupid that when you’re at your lowest point and are about to relapse you have to pay. This app is for helping people over come addiction and pain, having to pay for urges is so stupid snd greedy

Honestly I never thought I’d come so far with the help of this app, it motivates, helps, and is an overall great way to sober up from whatever you’re hurting from.

Only got this cause when your relapse the community is always so helpful but now it’s £3 a month to be able to talk to the community they got ride of the best way to stop relapses and put it behind a pay wall this is shame full and horrible the people that make this app need to take a good long look at themselves cause they took away being help responsible by your piers for a relapse shame full and disgusting
No community in UK?
I’ve been a paid user for 6 years and recently tried accessing the community. I’m in the UK and Reddit tells me it’s not working for us due to the verification. I try it and it puts me in a loop saying I have no internet access. Tried updating the app and looking for solutions online but to no avail. So what is the deal? Community not available to us in the UK? Or am I doing something wrong?

as an app developer you cant have a feature be free for however many years and then suddenly put it behind a paywall and blame it on government legislation. there are so many other ways you could go about the online safety act being implemented.

I love this app, it has helped me keep track of so much, before I ha it I was like "I think I'm like... 3 days clean but idk" and now I'm like "AHHH! it deleted all my data???? it uninstalled because i hadn’t used it in a long time, i went to download it again and logged into my account to find that MY DATA WAS DELETED. i’m so upset i now won’t know how long i was sober for, just because i’ve healed doesn’t mean i don’t want to see how long i was sober for.

Has helped a lot in the past
I love this app, it has greatly helped me in the past but recently the i am sober has made it really difficult to use. Since going between Europe to the UK, the community tab has been taken down, which in my opinion was the most important feature of the app, allowing the user to connect, receive support or even offer words of comfort and understanding to others who share the same struggles. On a smaller note, the apps constant request to sign every time i open it is driving me a little nuts and makes me all together not wanting to go on it… I appreciate what the app has given me in the past, but lately i find myself unwilling to use it.
Very helpful
I think having a physical way to commit to being sober is helpful, not just telling yourself you will be. Also just seeing that clock go up is even motivating. Plus the community tab is helpful to anonymously communicate to seek help and help others

Used to use this app 3 years ago and it was brilliant and nothing behind paywall! Just logged in today to find everything is behind a paywall! Deleted my account and removed the app! Do not recommend for this reason.
Really helps with tracking my progress but has one downside
So this is a great app. It helps track my route and helps with motivation but it has a support tab which would be great but you have to pay. Pay for support?! In my opinion that’s wrong. You shouldn’t have to pay for support. I know that so many people would’ve needed support but because they didn’t get it for free and don’t feel comfortable talking to people close to them they struggle. Then that struggling leads to worse things. I’m not gonna say what it leads to but I’m sure you can piece it together. So my review is that you should be able to get support for free not have to pay for it
Gone downhill
The app works well and has good counters. I used to really like the community pages and comments but sadly being in the uk I can no longer use them as the app makers have made no effort for people to verify their age. It has been months now. Firstly they should be disputing the need for age verification as younger people need access to recovery spaces as much as adults do. Secondly it takes very little effort to link with a verification website like other companies did on the drop of a hate when the rules changed. It feels like rather than putting a little effort into making sure the app serves everyone that they have chosen to leave some users out.

Ive had this app since 2021 and its a great way to track. The reason Im writing a review now is because one thing that I used to love to use was the community feature. It would let you talk to people going through the same thing as you, at the same point in sobriety however now that community tab is behind a paywall. There wasnt much of a paywall when i first got this app but now every feature is behind it. It feels unfair because the reason i got this app was to talk to other people, it made me feel like i wasnt alone in what i was doing/going through. It was an amazing feature it just sucks that its behind a paywall now hence the reason for the 3 stars

Horrible app. I am 14 years old addicted to sh and im adding a card onto my phone and im worried if this app will take the money even though I deleted the aop.
Good app
Great app it’s just really sad to see they’re trying to charge you for extra things on there, if you have an urge it asks for money to continue. It just seems unfair, addicts are trying to better their life and it shouldn’t cost them anything for trying to do so. Good app hence the 4 stars just upsetting to see they just want your money for the full experience which is extremely unfair.
No need for the new update or whatever u want to call it
I have always used this app I used the app when I was 13 for very personal reasons and I noticed I hadn’t had any notifications from the app in a while. So when I went on to check the app was no longer on my phone which I thought was weird because I had always had the app downloaded on my phone. So I came on to the App Store only to realise that it had been uninstalled form my phone and it’s now for 18+ like when did that become a thing considering I have used this app since I was 13 years old for my own personal reasons. I reinstalled the app only to realise that all my hard work that I have put in over the good few years had disappeared I had to login and renter new information which was really annoying I mean I used the app for two reasons and the second thing isn’t even on there so it’s like I can’t track it anymore I had to put a request in to have it on the app. So annoying. Not very happy with the app now.

Disappointed with in app purchases
This app has really helped me and I loved the fact that you have community of people who understand and relate to what I’m going threw and I’m really disappointed in the fact that now I have to pay to have that community back. It’s just really disingenuous and doesn’t sit right with me that the fact this app is designed to help people and give people a space to share and talk about how they feel and now this app have exchanged that beauty for their own personal gain

the app has really helped it allows the user to track how long they’ve been “sober” or whatever habits they’re trying to let go off the only reason it’s 4 stars is because some features are behind a pay wall but that’s to be expected in the modern era otherwise it would be 5 stars would recommend 👍
Community verification not working
I have tried repeatedly to verify myself so that I can access the community. I have paid the small fee but every time I try to verify I get a message telling me I have no internet (I do). I have updated the app, deleted and reinstalled it, shut down and restarted my phone and nothing - it still doesn’t work. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Monetising addiction - shame on the owners
Used this app a few years ago to get out of serious addiction and it was the one thing that managed to make a difference. I credit this mainly to the community section of the app, as overcoming addictions requires community, which is often hard to find out in the world. It’s such a shame to see them monetise addiction and mental health especially with such inaccessible prices - £10.49 a month! Really sad to see.
Now have to pay for community access
So disappointing and isolating for addicts on this app who don’t have the means to pay for access to the sobriety community. So disappointed myself as i found connecting with others is one of the key parts of my journey of sobriety. Please bring back communal chat for free, don’t isolate us.

This app has been my go-to for years when it comes to tracking sobriety. I love being able to track how I felt, how difficult, and what I did each day and go back and look at that. This app is great and I’d recommend it to anyone who seeks sobriety!

I understand for the app to even be working at all, donations are needed- however removing the community feature for free is a low. I completely see that alot of the premium features deserve to be in a paywall, but the community feature is one of the biggest features for the entire app and i’d potentially say the best feature. Taking this away is just knowing that you can take money from those who are trying to get better
Teething problems disappointing
I have been subscribed to sober plus for 3 weeks. I like the app but am really frustrated that I haven’t been able to verify my ID. I keep getting an error message and so can’t access any of the forums - I really need community right now. Have tried so many times. Deleting and reloading the app. But I’m getting nowhere.
Bring back the community function
This is a great app but unfortunately, the community function no longer works which is a real shame as that was quite helpful
