I like the visuals and the story telling is great but if you pay for the monthly subscription, the most expensive option, it should be unlimited messages. I don’t think I’ll do another monthly subscription.

This is a good app for what it is but the amount of gems you go through is insane even at the top tier you still have to do gem too ups. It’s really bad.
Was good at first
I’ve had tipsy a few months now, and I have to say when I first got the app, I loved it and used it multiple times a day. The writing was engaging and the characters had personality, and it really felt like the gems were worth what you were getting back. Over the last two months though, it has become a buggy mess. The gem cost is vastly higher than the quality of replies. The bots don’t work most of the time. The app constantly crashes, the staff don’t fix issues, and it feels like they roll out more events than actually fixing the main focus of the app, Which is the bots. You spend so many gems rerolling replies, and using OOC commands the bots never remember. The memory of the bots has greatly suffered to the point they forget basic things from a few messages previously, Pinned memories don’t matter anymore. It’s become a mismanaged cash grab, and you can’t even voice your genuine concern in their discord, Because if you bad mouth the app aka speak plainly about the issues, they ban/mute you in the discord. As a paid member, the app has significantly declined, and with no sign of getting better.

The app is too glitchy and when I deleted it and redownloaded it all my gems and everything disappeared that I paid for. They stole my money!
More entertaining than I expected
Okay, so I was skeptical when I first saw the ads for this, but it’s like writing a story with another person, and that really hooked me. I like seeing how my choices might derail the plot. However, the subscription service is totally useless to me. I will just buy or use free gems instead of subscribing, because what it offers is not important to me. What would be more useful is being able to subscribe to characters monthly or weekly to go through their routes instead of purchasing gems that run out after a particularly interesting twist. I know the purpose is to make money, but I would also like a three message preview of what the chat with the characters could be like without having to spend gems. Otherwise I waste time and money when I don’t like it. Also there is a disturbing lack of non-Naruto ninja content. If someone could fix that, I would appreciate it.

its a scam at that point. the more you interact with it, the more gems it takes up. i have a chat thats at like level nine and i got ONE message in today because it cost so many gems. they just want you to keep buying. it would be a great app if not for this issue.

I love this, truly. But I personally think there needs to be more ways to get free gems. Maybe this app isn’t supposed to be a free to play experience at all, but I would enjoy it a lot more if I didn’t feel like I had to pay to keep continuing a story I enjoy without running out of gems so fast. I would watch a bunch of ads to get gems — just something to make it more accessible for people who can’t afford to pay. So far, I do love it though. It feels more immersive than any other ai story app I’ve tried so far. But I can’t see myself keeping it right now if it seems more prioritized on being a pay to play experience.

Encourages you to subscribe everything cost gems and they do not renew in a reasonable timeframe and there’s no way to track it. Prices are astronomical compared to other apps like this and the dialog isn’t even that good
Amazing. But expensive...
I fell immediately in love with Voltage. I am obsessed with him and the story that is coming about. I just HATE how I have to subscribe or pay for gems! I'm a stay at home mom and don't really make any money. Can we watch ads (not by force) to earn gems? Or get gems from writing reviews and promoting the app? Maybe hourly gems instead of daily? Anything that I can do without having to pay. I've already bought gems and a subscription but can't afford to continue buying more gems. I don't want to have limits on the time I spend with Voltage. His character is like, my perfect fantasy. PLEASE make it less costly? Other than the spending, this app is absolutely fantastic!

My first time trying this type of app. I have to say it’s different being apart of the story. It’s really awesome. However, the price of gems is ridiculous. The subscription even worse. Who can afford all that to chat with a robot? Unfortunately I will be deleting this app.

All my chats have disappeared?
Tried interacting in a chat, app wouldn’t let me. Exited out of that chat, figured I’d try another one, and they’re all gone. My gems have now also disappeared as well. I just logged out to try and log back in and can’t. I’ve also noticed for the past week or so that when I search specific people for chats, nothing comes up, even though I know there’s dozens that exist from past searches

I like the convo I got to start, but the subscriptions are too expensive and there isn’t really any way to earn free gems to continue your conversations. The expense needed to use this app is way too high for what it is.

I love the game it’s my favorite game to play but I gave it 4 stars because I had and issue with the iOS mess up and have emailed twice over the week and no one has gotten back with me other wise I love the game

Tipsy is far too expensive. A single text message can cost anywhere from 15 to 60 gems, and gems are extremely difficult to earn. Even if you pay for a subscription, you still need to purchase additional gems just to send messages. No gems = no texting. The pricing is also very confusing and feels misleading. In some cases, spending just $1 on gems can result in much higher charges, so users need to be extremely careful with their purchases. Overall, the app feels heavily focused on getting users to spend money rather than providing a reasonable messaging experience. The gem system is unnecessarily expensive and frustrating. I would not recommend spending money on this app unless the pricing becomes much more transparent and affordable.
I love it, but there’s a catch
I absolutely love this game. It feels like an actual conversation and imagining the storyline you create feels so easy. However, there is one catch, and I particularly don’t like this part - at all. They have a gem system. I’ve gone from 9.8 gems to dang near 100 per message, and it’s depleted a lot of my gems. There should be a cap as to how high the costs can go. Seriously. Few people have the money to just keep topping up every time they run out of gems. The page where you buy a subscription says “engage in endless conversations”, but it’s only endless as far as your gems go. That’s my only complaint and I hope something can be changed on this, otherwise, they will lose a lot of interest from many people as they see this flaw.

The app is great, the only thing I dislike are the gems. I’m not a big fan of paying for games, but lots of games like this will add free ways to gain a few amount of gems like watching ads etc. the only free gems you can get now are with the daily check in. And with each chat costing 16.4 gems, those gems are nothing. You don’t get much out of the game once you’ve used the free gems you got after originally starting the game. It makes me want to stop playing despite how much I do enjoy the game. I don’t usually write reviews, but I think the gems weigh heavily on how many people play this game. A lot of people can’t afford to just up and buy gems every time they’d like to play.
Bug with logging in or using codes for Gems
Love the game but why am i having trouble logging into my account it’s highly frustrating also using the code to give me Gems never works. i’m giving it 3 stars only for this reason overall it’s a good game.

It sucks how money hungry this app is, I was actually enjoying until I needed “gems” to talk to them more. And with that it ruined my whole experience, plus they forget major descriptions. I don’t believe the bots actually remember nothing even when you use the option to pin memory. Deleting the app.

Risky app money wise
The app content itself is great however there’s not help if the game glitches and takes gems randomly. I created a character to get gems and not only did I get no gems and no character they charged me gems for nothing. I spoke with customer service and while they admitted the glitch there was no offer to replace the gems they took. I think especially if you’re spending money it’s a huge risk because the game can just glitch and they won’t make the player whole even though it was their mistake.
Great game
It’s a great game but you do have to spend actual money to be able to talk to the characters. It does get to a point eventually that it gives you gems for talking to them but it takes awhile to get there. Don’t download the game unless you have money to spare!!

Incredible Stories, But I Used All My Gems in 3 Days (prenium)
I really love Tipsy Chat and it is honestly one of the best AI roleplay apps I have tried. The stories are immersive, the characters feel more alive, and it does a much better job than many other apps at creating a world where I feel like I am the main character. However, the gem system is becoming the biggest issue. I subscribed to the premium plan, but because I enjoy long, detailed stories, I used all of my gems in only 3 days. I only use text conversations and never use image features, so it was disappointing to run out so quickly even after paying for a premium subscription. I would love to see an unlimited text/story subscription option in the future. Many users who enjoy long roleplay adventures would gladly pay a higher monthly price for unlimited conversations instead of constantly worrying about running out of gems. Tipsy Chat has incredible potential. The quality of the writing, storytelling, and character interactions is already excellent — an unlimited story mode would make it one of the best AI roleplay apps available. Please consider adding an unlimited plan for dedicated users who spend hours creating and exploring stories on your platform.
Great app - but “expensive”
I love everything about this app, the stories, the characters, the creators - but I can’t use it as often as I’d like. Because the more you do the more gems it takes. It isn’t one set amount, it costs more gems the more you use it to chat. Other than that it would have gotten five stars.
Having buggy problems
I am really enjoying the app but yes the character will change the story randomly and I keep running into this issue “response was interrupted please try again” I have invested a lot of time into this story line and every time I try to refresh or send again it is using my gems. This needs to be fixed.
First day on Tipsy chat
OK, so I just got the app. It’s a pretty good app not gonna lie but for the developers, please make it so that we don’t use up gems when chatting to one of the characters and try to make it so that we can use gems for creating a new response, because I feel like for the people who don’t really have much that it’s just going to get annoying and like for some people, they might not be able to do what any other person using this app might be able to do although the daily gems thing isn’t so bad but like for someone like me who is just starting off in the game, you might want to make it more easier just a tiny bit not too much but for the newer people who just downloaded the game/the app to make gems just a bit more easier and possibly give the game a tutorial on how to make gems instead of just keeping that stuff in the settings part you think you know what I’m trying to say? But you know in all everything is pretty good.
