What people like
- Very accurate rain and storm data
- Clean and easy to read display
- Developer fixes issues quickly when they break
What they complain about
- Stops working when BOM changes data
- Shows error messages instead of maps
- Ads appear at the bottom
Best
Quick & accurate
No rain
Can’t seem to get a clear picture on the rain forecast, or how much is coming
Good
Easy to activate and accurate. Thanks
Better than BOM
So much better than bom at least it doesn’t look like a Simpsons episode
Radar excellence
Best radar I have found and used over the last 5 years
Rain radar great - porn advertising at the bottom is revolting.
Very disappointed seeing vile advertising at the bottom of the radar that I can’t remove.
Retro Radar
Fixed to show the old trustworthy OG radar that BOM no longer displays.
It’s changed
I used to love this app. I used it every week it was great. Until now, it says error and has said that for 3 weeks I tried updating and deleting and re downloading to see if that would make it work and it did not
Blue dot.
Great radar but how do l get the location marker
Not loading fast or. It at all
Poor
Nice for Tasmania
For some reason, the app I use in the United States did not work in Tasmania as far as radar goes. This radar seems very accurate and I love that it has wind as well. However, I don’t know that there is a forecast, or I haven’t figured it out with the app, but it gives the current status which is nice for planning, vacation, etc..
Quality App
Find it very helpful
No maps
I cannot download any radar maps.
Go to app for years but…
This has been both my dad’s an my go to radar app for many years now however BOM has decided to take the piss and this has ruined it for everyone. Now I know the developers of this app have no affiliation with BOM so it’s not their fault however it’s caused this apps radar pictures to not show! I know I won’t be deleting the app anytime soon in the hopes it can be resolved quickly however it is a major issue and concerning as this is how a lot of us ensure our financial situation and personal safety and quite frankly reflects poorly on BOM! *On a side note to the developers I implore you all to please work diligently to restore this app as it truly is a great resource an would be a massive relief for a lot of users From someone who seriously never reviews apps but this needs to be addressed.

I like this rain radar app it is accurate
Too often issue with no radar images available North Qld.
Too often has issues “cannot load radar images. Sometimes my local, other times like now everywhere. Not good enough guys, been days of nothing now!
Not working for several days
Love the app, however, it is not working for past nearly a week. No data on any location. Please fix! Thank you
Rainy Days
The app gives an accurate picture of what storms are about to hit our area. I like the colours indicating the severity of rainfall.
What’s happened
What has happened to this app , cannot access the radar Is this to make us pay for this service Please advise
Not working
Just downloaded it and no images and it’s not the radar because other apps are working Can someone fix this
Fixed! (No longer working)
Developer was very helpful. Thank you.
No radar images
Everything has stopped working for some reason.
No image available error
I’ve used this excellent app for years and find its clean clear display and UI the best of the BOM-data based radar apps. Late in 2025 it suddenly gave an error message for ALL radars - I believe BOM had changed their data format per comments elsewhere. I'm pleased to say the developer subsequently updated it and the app is back to to its normal perfect operation. My only minor annoyance is that the feedback/contact links both in the store and in the message about it being updated go to an ad rather than anywhere near Verve, so reviews seem to be the only way of contacting the developer.
Used to be my fave weather app
Doesn’t work anymore :(
Everything fixed, works good again
Was stuffed after an BOM update as it relies on their data. Now it is fixed and works again. Thanks for fixing it
Radars don’t work
A few days ago every radar came up with an error said there were no images and radar must have a problem but it’s happening in every single radar in every state? I tried deleting and restoring app but only wind radar is working. Please fix or update app as it’s my favourite and I can’t use it at all!!! I hope it can be fixed.
Louie V
I have finally found the best radar app, finally found what I’m looking for.
App needs BOM updated
Currently the BOM update means this app is obsolete and doesn’t actually display any maps. So I’d suggest an update of the system, otherwise this app will be deleted from ALL devices in no time
