I was playing today and I swiped up and it didn’t go up this happened TWICE and also the worlds cost too much so can you improve the world cost to be 250-300 coins pls, also some powers are too rare like the lama sooo can you improve it to were the rare powers appear more? that’s all for the stuff that needs to be fixed so if I see more I’ll write about it soo Tysm for making this game and making it available on arcade
Good but one bug is STILL here
I love 256+ but one bug that I saw that if you have a power pellet and a bomb power up or other the ghosts will turn into four but it is harmless just a little funny
Great but Obvious Bugs
Many of the goals don’t correspond to leveling up in the game, ex: - Laser beam damage level 4 - Mine count level 2 - Get tornado time to level 6 So without these, you can’t get power-up’s necessary to complete other goals. These are difficult goals…they don’t match gameplay. It’s an obvious bug that should be fixed. Other than that, love the game!

Stuttering with latest iPad os glass update
It was working fine yesterday on my 2025 iPad before the update but there’s performance issues now. With the new iPad OS “glass” update, this game will periodically and randomly stutter. It’s difficult to look at when the smooth motion is broken up. Worse is it will also lose some control inputs and for the tight windows and speed of the game, it kills runs. It looks like it’s mainly an optimization and/or unprepared for the extra “features” that the iPad os update added like the new game app integration.

A great game I have been playing it for a while ant it never is not fun
Goal not achievable and app support not available for iPad
I have been playing this lovely game for weeks and steadily completing goals ( and powering up ) but have hit a wall. The Laser Lifestyle goal ( to upgrade laser to level 4 ) is unachievable , due to laser not being available at all !! This means I can’t unlock the piñata . I didn’t want to leave a poor review , because it’s the only bug I’ve found so far , but there is also a crummy issue on the Bandai Namco app support page. You’re required to add the platform you’re playing on , and guess what ?? iPad / iPhone is not available as an option, so i can’t even submit a support request to Bandai/ Namco ( pc, switch , PlayStation are the only options ) . I like my Apple Arcade subscription but this has really cheesed me off today , having spent weeks playing the game . I want the piñata !! please can you advise whether I’m mistaken about the laser option ( or, if as google indicates, it was a time limited in app purchase , and is therefore not available at all , given Apple Arcade doesn’t have in app purchases ). Whatever I’m disappointed and putting this up as a review so hopefully the programmers can fix it . Thanks .
Unfair goals
It’s been a good game but I’ve now reached the limits of how much I can progress, as some of the later goals seem unfairly hard. Killing 55 (or even 20) ghosts with lasers in one game is way out of reach for me, and they’re goals that I need to progress. Oh well.
Needs improvement
Still no d-pad or any other directional input, and the swipe to move is incredibly unresponsive and error prone. Both are inexcusable. Frustrating, but begrudgingly excusable given the games heritage, is the lack of grace frames, and whatever wonky logic lets a ghost eliminate you at the same time you eliminate it.
Not PAC-MAN
This is an ok game, but it’s PAC-MAN in name only not in spirit. If you’re looking for the classic experience, this is not it.
Best improvement since 2015
I have no words. It’s been 2 years since I’ve been playing the plus version of 256 and it’s addicting. More features that make the game actually such a GEM compared to from before. I love this game so much and its improvement is WAYYY beyond what the regular 256 is.
Erases progress every day
It’s a fun game, but more and more often I find all my unlockables disappeared and I lose several ranks. It happens every day lately.

Basic user controls are terrible
Because the game world is slightly titled it makes the simple swipe movement they were going for a massive headache. You want to move up, how about going left or right instead? Oh you want to go left how about down? I’m tired of constantly having my input either not register which can happen multiple times in a row or it just gets it wrong. As a game developer myself it’s not that hard to implement a fun and simple movement mechanic that actually works. I’ve even tried tilting the device slightly sideways to have a straight forward approach just to continue having the same issues. This game easily could be amazing but falls short due a lack of polish on the main thing you need to do.
Retro fun
A great game that does keep you absolutely hooked however despite what it says there are still problems with collecting the goals and now Ian stuck unable to get any further in the game. This does detract from it slightly but this is still a good game for a quick five minute play.
Controls are terrible
Perhaps due to the tilted game board, but swiping often results in Pac-Man going in the wrong direction. From the other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one. It’s only a game so no big deal, but it makes it frustrating and unplayable at times.
Laser beam
The laser beam to get pinanta, doesn’t seem to work, I get to level 4 and beyond but still nothing.

great game hobbled by terrible controls
inaccurate controls ruin good ruins, only playable using dpad on controller. frustrating cos swiping is so fun, especially at higher speeds late game
Good but…
This is a fantastic game, lots of fun but I’m not sure it’s possible to finish it. Got up to a challenge where I was asked to stay close to cyan ghosts for 30 seconds. Nothing I seem to do triggers the completion of this one and I feel like I’ve tried it a lot. Since that challenge blocks the rest of the board I guess I’m done…? A shame since I had really enjoyed my time with 256 until that point.
Pretty Good But Pretty Buggy
As game mash ups go, this isn’t a bad one, combining the games of PAC-MAN and Crossy Road. There are some nice touches in the variations. The problem is it’s let down by the bugs in the challenges, in particular the “stay close to the cyan ghost for 30 seconds” which, no matter how long you stay next to the cyan ghost, the counter never leaves 0 seconds. The problem with this is, this particular challenge is a bottle neck and you cannot get to other challenges without getting this one. It effectively stops you from progressing with the game any further, so you stop playing the game. Which is a shame, but there you go.

Hello Developers I really love the game but there is a challenge that is bugged (see title) the laser does not go to level 4 and even if it does it does not work this is to unlock the Pinanta Please can this be fixed

touch controls aren't responsive
sometimes pac-man will continue in the direction he is going in, even if you tell him to change direction before the turn. sometimes he will do a 180° turn instead of a 90° turn. swiping anything more or less than an exact 90° can cause pacman to make incorrect turns. this is more pronounced on larger screen devices. i play many agility apple arcade games involving more dexterity than pacman, and i have never had input errors despite putting in tens or hundreds of hours. with pacman i will get multiple frustrating errors per game, resulting in a loss of a 256 combo, a failure to goals, or death. i contacted the devs twice, they were very responsive but it's been months now, with updates fixing other known bugs but not this one. they were clearly just paying lip service. i see a couple other players experiencing the same issue. i would love to give this game 5 stars but can't until this issue is addressed. great game when it does work.
I have to agree with hour of the wolf
I also have the same issue as hour of the wolf with being trapped on the stay close to the Cyan ghost for 30 seconds , and yes there is no other way to advance in this game without completing this task , please get this fixed as this game is so playable but without advancing the challenges it just becomes stale
Many fixes needed
Problems I’ve found: 1. Laser is too weak. 2. Resolution is too low 3. Some challenges can’t be completed 4. Lava doesn’t work on ghosts approaching head on 5. AI on some power ups is terrible 6. Sometimes you die when a power up is active
Nice addiction to the Pac-family
Similar to the original Pac-Man 256, but not quite as responsive - & the power-ups work differently. I still prefer the original ‘256’ over this one, but this is fun nonetheless.

Goals broken
Really fun game and thank you for fixing the daily goal refresh issue. Some of the goal achievements are broken which stops progress and makes it so you can’t access some weapons and upgrades. Impossible to complete the “stay close to green/grey/etc ghosts for 40 seconds” goals.

Touch controls don’t work
You can’t really offer a game you pay for (even if it is Apple Arcade) that doesn’t work properly 75% of the time. The touch controls don’t work consistently making it near impossible to actually play without dying because you can’t move Pac-Man where you want to. Bummer, it’d be super fun if this wasn’t such an issue.

Daily goals not working
Daily goals only worked the first day of the game installation and stopped refreshing after that. I’ll modify my rating when this bug is fixed.
The games fun except..
Daily missions haven’t refreshed since its release on Arcade. That’s all. The rest is fun. Just add more daily missions please.
The original was better
The title says it all, I was hoping for the original with no in app purchases and more balanced in game prices power ups etcetera but no you just had to ruin it just make it like the original and I’ll come back
One small issue
I had to write a second review to correct a misunderstanding. The game is just as good as the normal version, just has one small issue. The achievements are in Italian, and not English, which is weird because my iPad’s language is set to English and the region is set to Canada. Maybe Duolingo was in charge of the new version and decided to swap the English and Italian achievements because he’s Duolingo and he wants you to do your Italian lessons. Please fix 💀 Update: the achievements are in all different languages, implying that either the devs made a huge mistake with Game Center or Duolingo is on the dev team. Some are in English (only 2), one’s in French, one’s in Portuguese. Wow the devs are lazy with their translations.
