Good game but a few issues

You have to pay to have more than like two interactions per day, and those interactions sometimes have the character going something “Your face changed, what’s wrong?” although you have no control over what they’re talking about, and when you deny they post something like “I can see past the “I’m fine.” Maybe it’s a term of miscommunication, but I find something like that happening regardless of what I say. Maybe it would be easier if I were allowed to have more than one interaction with said person without paying for energy or watching thirty ads 😭

Good game/ terrible energy system

My biggest Takeaway from playing this game over the last few days is that the energy system is basically nonexistent. The game gives you the option to watch videos to get two energy at a time and generally you need at least three energy to do anything. The game says you get free energy allotted to you once per day. It’s been three days so far and I’ve yet to get any energy. The only energy I’ve gotten is from watching ads and even that has a cap. The game only allows you to watch so many ads. Hopefully this is something they fix because right now the energy system just seems to be completely broken. This is a pretty fun game that analyzes the way you respond to the AI. And I can see why someone would want to spend money on this game however, the way it’s set up right now. I’m not sure I’ll be keeping the game. There’s no incentive for me personally to want to spend money on the game. I’m not going to buy energy when it’s clear. The game isn’t even giving me any energy daily to want to play the game. Where is the incentive at?

Great app ruined by bribing users for 5-star reviews

What I love: The core concept is awesome and I immediately had high hopes. It’s so immersive and realistic, the responses arrive quickly and make logical sense, the system of analyzing my responses to interpret and explain my personality traits has been accurate and interesting. This is absolutely the kind of app I would adore and maybe pay for (which I rarely do). What I don’t love: It provides little to no context about the scenarios into which it drops you, giving you 5 turns to achieve a goal in a conversation when you don’t even know what your relationship to these characters is supposed to be. That’s stressful and unpleasant, and it feels like I’m in Quantum Leap. The dealbreakers: I struggled to locate a way to contact anyone to ask questions or send feedback. The contact info is a discord link that, for me, opens discord but leads nowhere. Eventually i found a link to their discord on some other site. Eventually I also found a contact email, which was on another site and, for me, buried at the bottom beneath overlapping text. It’s probably not purposeful, but it was unsettling how difficult it was to reach out. The biggest issue for me was that they offer free energy in exchange for a 5-star review, which I understand is against the App Store rules. Incentivizing reviews in itself isn’t a problem, but requiring them to be 5-star reviews artificially inflates the ratings and is not okay. I would have been okay with the other issues I had, but this is dishonest and not in good faith. I do appreciate the intensely hard work of independent developers. This app is such a wonderful concept and has so much potential. Even with unfinished features, it’s an excellent experience. But the lack of transparency regarding contact information and the manipulation of the rating system really ruined this for me. Please consider discontinuing the incentivized review practice. It’s such a good app on its own, it doesn’t even need the falsely inflated reviews.

Not Bad but Room for Improvement

As the title suggests, the game isn’t half bad considering I came in with rather low expectations given I’ve been on a “download and delete” spree. Some of the things the “therapist” pointed out proved to be rather insightful, picking up patterns in myself I haven’t even noticed and at the same time validating feelings I got while recommending me things to try out. That’s probably my favorite aspect of the game. The events/scenarios are short scenarios where you’re placed with a character and assigned a goal to complete within 5 turns. Since it’s pretty randomized, some of the goals will feel out of place with the setting and or conversation (the character starts talking first so you have to continue off that). You can get up to 24 energy a day by watching ads and each event costs about 5 energy to do, so an average of 5 events a day assuming you don’t talk to the therapist. Plenty if you just want to sink 1-2 hours a day. What rubs me wrong though is the fact that if you do want more energy, you’d be given a prompt to join their discord and from there you are given an offer to review the game for 5 stars in order to get 30 free energy. I won’t say anything more on that, just a heads up to others considering downloading the game: take the 5 star reviews with a grain of salt. I don’t doubt there are people who genuinely thinks this game is worth the full mark but given the fact that there were at least a couple hundred threads in their “reviews for energy” channel, there’s probably a good chunk of 5 star reviews that are skewed.

Really good concept and style.

The game itself is really good; I love the concept of healing and growth through the “Dr Reid’s therapy.” The art is also really good and overall, the game has such a charming aesthetic. The only thing I would change is the energy. Either don’t have the energy limit or have a different way to gain it, for example maybe playing a mini game or even just getting more at the start of the day. It would make the game so much better.

Feels like one continuous world

The best part of this game is that conversations actually connect. What I say to one character carries into how other characters react to me. It’s not fragmented like most life sims, where every interaction resets. It genuinely feels like I’m living in one continuous world instead of jumping between separate scripted branches. I also really love the custom events feature. Being able to write my own chapters instead of just picking from set options gives me real creative control over my story. I’ve spent real money on energy packs specifically for this, and it’s been worth it. Really excited to see what’s next for this game🥰

Not bad, but

the idea is not bad. but if you want this game to really help a person to know themselves, then the system of evaluation interferes. the concept of "winning and losing" will create for a person the illusion of the right or wrong choice, which will also greatly complicate the task. the game should be configured to help a person feel safe in order to open up in the future, but the game system creates boundaries. the option "to be straightforward" is, but if you answer honestly you will greatly spoil the relationship with the character and lower some values. does this make sense? in my opinion, no. otherwise the game is wonderful.

The idea is interesting

I’d like to give it a better review since the concept, atmosphere (mildly interrupted by the generated images), and gameplay are all excellent but my issue really comes down to the energy situation. You get one free event per day. That’s it. After that you have to watch ads to get energy (which is also used as a currency for visual changes, such as alternated clothes and locations); one ads gets you 2 energy, while events are 5, Reid is 3, and the visual things are 20+ so you need to watch at least two ads to get use out of the energy. I’ve played merge games that less stingy with their energy. People actually need to be able to interact to enjoy their experience.

Made me uneasy but very Interesting and fun to play

I haven’t use AI products that focus on role-play/emotional support before. It’s…. kinda scary. I think the concept of this game is really interesting, a “therapy like” game runs on AI , and I’m glad someone had this idea, made the game, and it’s actually fun. But I definitely feel a little trippy when the AI smoothly generated some gameplay base on my answers. Even hough I know it’s achievable, but since it’s I’m a game environment it feels real on the first glance! I’m curious what elements are fully ai generated because there were some minor game design issues/imperfections with the gameplay but I’m not sure if it’s due to design flaws from the developer or it’s just an oversight of the AI

Seems AI art, energy takes a long time to

The game is good, even tho it’s takes some time to earn energy. I would say the bigger problems are -the fact that sometimes the characters arent clear I what they want/what they are saying, or they ask questions that don’t give much freedom in answering aside from yes and no -the fact that the art seems AI, I wasn’t 100% sure but I saw some of the drawing have errors in words and the faces change artstyle or features sometimes. Adverts too intrusive

I was really enjoying this - and it was actually helping my mental health. Then it moved to a paid ads model. I understand the need to monetise, and would have happily paid to use it. The prices are pretty reasonable. The problem is the app goes into a death spiral every time at the end of an interaction. Either that or it just glitches back to the start and doesn’t move forward. I’m not going to spend on something that doesn’t work properly. I’m grateful for what the app did for me, but I’ll now be searching for other, similar ones. I’ve rated it 3 stars because of the historical usage. If it was just on today’s usage, it would be one star. I think these guys can do better and hope they do, before I delete it and move on.

I have to make a negative review unfortunately, mainly because 1- the developers have developed a method to give you energy only when you make a review that pleases them and they are quite rude in answering on discord. So I can assure 99% of these reviews are made up just to earn energy sand dont tell the truth about the game. 2- the game has good potential but lacks some freedom, since if you answer as you like you don't get certain points and risk to end the character life 3- since I have the app I have never seen an update 4- the energy takes too long to charge and you just end up playing 10 minutes a day max
