Trash localization
Great game overall but the localization is awful and due to cygames continued condoning I will keep 1 star until they fix it overall good game severally brought down by scummy translators
My favorite game, so this really sucks!!
This is one of my favorite games at the moment!! I have it on mobile and on Steam. For around a year, I have not been able to play it on mobile :( it says “a connection error occurred” and does not let me past title screen. Steam works perfectly fine but I don’t get to play it on my PC as often as my phone. Let me see my horsegirls now!!!!

Absolute Garbage
I thought I was going to love this game, but it just couldn’t stop from screwing me over. There is no logic to the races. You can train your runner and have higher stats than all the other runners yet you can still lose a race and/or miss a goal totally because the devs don’t understand what balancing is. This is an insult since it makes your hard work go to waste. After losing multiple races that I should’ve won with multiple runners, I uninstalled and won’t touch this garbage again. I bet the five star reviews are bots and weebs so disregard those. Don’t download this garbage!
Greedy BUT SO SO GOOD?
To start this off, I must say. The devs are CRAZY greedy. Theres damn near no pity (1500 gems per x10 pull, 200 pulls for ONE SINGULAR GUARANTEED FEATURED ITEM, 4 cards needed to max out, so for guaranteed FLM that is 1,200,000 gems. For context, I have NEVER had that many gems at once and I’ve been playing for I think over a year.) and it takes a WHILE to save up. That said? Addictive gameplay, super duper fun.

I always love this game and play it for years but now I don’t have more space in my phone for new data upload 🥺 why you can’t fix it??? Just let us delete some old cache or whatever I want to keep continue but now I can’t….

Mixed but Good
Art: 10/10 - the 3d models are done very well; fluid but still anime-like, and there’s even details like wet cloth when it rains. Very good Voice Acting: 7/10 - it’s all done well, but only stories and lobby interactions are fully voiced; career mode is partially voiced. I understand why, but it still feels like a little bit of a letdown Gameplay: 7/10 - actually more interesting than I expected, and strategy is actually really deep Music: 8/10 - everything is quite good but it doesn’t have legendary songs like Idolm@ster or Love Live imo, or legendary soundtrack like Hiroyuki Sawano Characters: 9/10 - I think Tokai Teio is one of the best anime characters of all time and Gold Ship is a hilarious memester. Daiwa Scarlet should just be a generic ambitious tsundere but is somehow much more interesting. Solid in this department. — I really enjoyed my first full career; watching the races and listening to the commentators actually made the emotional stakes pretty high, in a way I was not expecting from a gacha game. The problem with this game is the investment and grind. Even after only a couple of days it already takes SO MUCH WORK. That original career was 3 hours long since I was savoring it. Most of your grinding runs are going to be like 30-40 mins, and you have to do SO many of them in order to complete the events. You lose the ability to enjoy the emotional stakes and the stories and it’s just WORK. At least, I did. UPDATE: Auto Career (Independent Career) is a game changer! The game is playable now! Yay! Tl;dr: To put it simply: this has all the elements for a great casual or story game, but it’s still a little too grindy. Also, really don’t know why it’s even 12+. The fanservice is really mild. On a similar level as Bang Dream probably.
GIVE ME TIME TO BREATH
Jesus Christ, give us time to breathe. I do not have the time to keep doing this every damn day for these events. Using all your tp isn’t quick either, if I’m quick it’ll take me around 45 minutes, which is still too damn long. I can see why a decent chunk of players have stopped playing. I’ve got other things goin on and can’t afford to spend more than an HOUR a day playing😭
Game takes up too much storage
Loved playing this game but the file size is just too too big I can’t have any other apps on my phone it just won’t fit on my phone anymore :( please please optimise the game

I stopped playing the game in February in light of the dancers controversy but it got me thinking, if as a member of the colored community and we get racist backlash to even being back up dancers to an event why I am even playing this? The creative vision of the devs and community seems to be umas are everyone but the colored and if that's the case then I will not support this or any title that can't be bothered to actually attempt representation beyond generic Asian and white/slightly off white cultures
Love the game so much but want some changes
The game is so fun I play it every single day and even in my phone CANT stop playing,but the changes I want is increasing the chances of getting a three star and an SSR because I’ve been doing some ten pulls yet I got no SSR and no three star which pretty crazy,the gacha rates are really bad and it needs to be increased pls.i hope this can actually help out the gacha rates

At the start it was boring but when I got to pull for people it got good it’s so addictive

A really good game overall,have some pretty wholesome interactions and stories on the horses but I need to tell you that you’ll probably feel bored after the first few months. After that you’ll just feel like you’re a emotionless horse training machine who just logs in for the daily bonuses not to mention how RNG and p2w based this game is,if you don’t have the money for a good card it’s basically guaranteed that you’ll just fall under the whalers who spent their entire live savings during champion meets.

It's a pretty great game, fun gameplay loop. However, I can't give it 5 stars for one simple reason. My favorite Uma by far is Tamamo Cross, and they won't let me have her, no matter how much I pull. I don't even wanna really get deep into it until I pull Tama-chan. Just let me have her please and I'll play your game all day.

The gameplay is just RNG
I have had, NO FUN once my 4-5 star units kept losing to the NPCS and made my runs horrible for no good reason. This game feels like it punishes you and scams your time with poorly coded RNG and doesn’t reward any form of proper progression/ skill in training. For christ’s sake losing when your trainee has double the stats of another Uma in career is something that flat out should never happen regardless of 1 small minor skill advantage and it has EXTREMELY damaged my perception and view of this game. It also doesn’t help how Umamusume barely provides you any TP points to waste even more of your time navigating through this RNG hell scape

I’ve changed my location and now when I start up the game it just says “A connection error has occurred” and only gives me the option to return to title screen or retry, I’ve retried multiple times but it does nothing.

Eh. I have a decent amount of hours on mobile and into the hundreds on PC (global release player.) No complaints from me regarding the anime, the character design, the events in-game, etc— it’s fun and fine. My issues linger with the fact that Career Mode isn’t beginner friendly. Tazuna’s advice is useless (her tips are often, usually always, wrong, and you will then be once again led to an unsuccessful career and grow gradually more and more frustrated). Your ability to win is completely randomised, (for example, let’s say you’ve maxxed out speed on Vodka, then you get beaten by a Nishino Flower bot with 500 speed which can completely ruin a career, or when you play team trials and race actual players, often times your A-A+ rank will lose to a B+ rank.) Some of the achievements you can get in-game also suck, because it is entirely luck based. Like how you’re supposed to train with all 5 support cards at once to unlock a free pull, yet, if your luck is just bad— you’ll never end up getting this achievement. Not to mention, you aren’t told when you attempt this that the bot supports (such as director akikawa) don’t count toward this— so again, more unnecessary frustrations. I love the game and I do recommend it, but I wish this stuff was more openly spoken about. it gets on my nerves for these reasons. Maybe it’s just my luck or misunderstanding of the game, though.

SSR Pull Rate is advertised as 3%. I pulled 470 times. I got 3 SSRs. What a joke. That is 0.037% chance of happening. Terrible pity system. Saved up my carrots for nothing. Absolute joke of a system.

It seems like it’s a good game however it just doesn’t even let me play. Every time it says ‘tap to play’ I immediately and repeatedly get a ‘connection error’ no matter what I do or what I change it keeps happening

This is the worst game I have ever played in my life. I am warning everyone do not touch this game.
One Issue but AMAZING!!
I absolutely LOVE playing this game and I play it almost every day! One thing I love most about it is that we get to train the Umamusume ourselves. And I love when we get support cards and new trainees! I have noticed some issues in the game though, which are multiple grammar mistakes. I recommend cheating the entire face of the apps in the characters events and scenes because I don’t know if they are in any more and I don’t have all of the trainees to tell you. One of the trainees that I remember has a grammar issue is Kitsan Black. There is a Trainee Event called, “After the Debut: The Long Uphill Battle”. In it there is a person called Spectator B and he says this: “Yeah. Now, then! Here’s were things actually get interesting. The next race has…”. In this I can see that the grammar mistake is the word were, it should be “where”. There is also another trainee I have that has a bunch of typo issues, but I can’t quite remember. Anywho, your game is still AMAZING!!! ^_^
Bored after a few hours
Got bored after a few hours playing as I found out the only thing you can do is play Career mode and if you lose you have to start again and it’s the only way to increase your stats. And you will most likely fail to complete Career mode unless you can a whale for support cards. Career mode is mainly all based on luck, you will start a run thinking this is great only to constantly fail the same race. This game really is a whale’s world.
Progress gets to slow after a while and it loses its fun when you get barely any reward
Other then that it’s a fun game with very little adds genuinely could be a great game if the gacha system was fixed

I loved this game and was a loyal fan but the announcement of the creation of an AI studio is the reason I will no longer be playing
Its good but…
Don’t get me wrong. Its a great game. But the grinding is horrendous. Careers which are basically the only way you can train an Uma takes awefully long and relies on alot of non-fixed rng. It also takes forever to get Carats. Trust me, i’ve grinded currencies in Gacha. I’ve done Blue Archive and Limbus Company which both of them I managed to earn more than enough to Spark twice quickly. The rates are interesting as well because unlike any Gacha i’ve played before, I have never been unlucky enough to only see a singular 3 star after 120 pulls. In comparison, I can probably pull 8 000 or 3 three stars in Limbus and Blue Archive with the same amount of pulls.
Unstable Game
Was having fun playing it for a few hours. But unable to start the game anymore with the game prompting “connection errors” Error 102. Connectivity for my phone was good but still unable even after restarting the phone
Expensive but fantastic game
The repeating cycle loop for gameplay is actually quite fun, as it takes a bit of ingenuity to figure out what is best for your Uma’s. The game has only recently come out, and I can’t wait to see what how the game changes, but hope it is for the better! But speaking of “for the better”… the ‘cost’ of playing the gatcha game is too high. I’m a free-to-play player, and even though you get plenty of rewards through the celebrations at this moment, there will be a massive draught after it has gone. The are no Free Daily pulls, the amount of ‘Carats’ you get from playing the game is too low. And especially when the “pity” system requires 200 pulls. It’s not a good experience as a free-to-play player.
