Could be fun….
This is one of the most obvious cash grab games I’ve ever played. Total pay to win. Played all the way up to league 4 and you’ll only see the same OP characters. Zero balance
Quality of Life Updates
I’ve enjoyed this game, enough to buy the pass regularly. I like that it isn’t an idle game and turn based. And of course I like the images, even if they seem a little AI generated. Some issues I’d love to see addressed are: It frequently lags when I have the newest generation iPhone. I’d like to see it run more smoothly. More characters should have costume options. And please add a quick modify and quick upgrade option! The time it takes to do those tasks is irritating every single time I do it. I’ll keep playing as long as there’s new content. But I’d love to see some improvements.
Two flaws
Pretty good, held back by two things: First, bugs are getting to be almost as bad as your opponents. Second, it’s paid to win and while it’s pretty well balanced through most of the experience when you get pretty high up you will hit a wall. But if you go in knowing that, you can have a lot of fun before you get to that wall. But it would be a lot more fun if the bugs were fixed Edit: I am downgrading this to two stars. The game has taken a nose dive since I wrote the review. Basically they keep doing the same thing. They introduced a new commander that makes it almost impossible to beat without paying a lot of money. You can eventually pay for it with gems that you can get for free, by the time you do it though, they will Nerf the character and then introduce another overpowered commander. It was fun for a little while just recognized that sooner or later you will hit a wall and it will stop being fun.
Too many bugs
It used to be a pretty good game but for the last few months it crashes and closes out in the middle of games and the system recognizes it as a loss. Additionally when the broken array populated it often freezes the game causing to close out which comes to a loss for you.

Stop rebalancing
This week the developers released yet another update that “rebalanced” some of the soldiers in the game. The net effect of that rebalancing was to reduce the effective power of my team by almost a third, dropping me two leagues in the game, from league 5 to league 7. As one who spends very little cash to build my team I can’t help but feel that this change was simply motivated by a desire to force a greater degree of pay to play. I have no desire to get on that treadmill so if the developers don’t do something to moderate the impact of this last update I’ll just delete the game
Fun but crashes a lot
This game is awesome and I really enjoy playing it. The only downside is that it crashes ALL THE TIME! In the middle of a tough battle and it crashes and you lose everything. It’s SUPER FRUSTRATING. This would be 5 stars if it weren’t for that. Game says you need a stable connection - well I know it’s not my internet since I have really high quality wifi for work. It’s a total bummer because I want to keep playing but will probably lose interest if it keeps crashing all the time.
Paid characters altered on purchase
Purchased characters based on their original appearance. After updates, paid cosmetics were retroactively altered (characters covered, outfits changed) with no opt-out or compensation. Paid content no longer matches what was advertised, so I stopped playing.

Kills my battery 47% for the day with only 17 min screen time.

This game’s starting to become a joke, I have double the power and health of most players I go up against but somehow still end up getting beat, it makes it feel like that if you don’t spend a lot of real world money on upgrades in the game, then you can’t win and that’s ridiculous.

LYSSA is a game that continues to provide entertainment with an ever changing landscape of opportunities. A player can survive with a F2P style, although their expectations should match their desired style. There will always be opportunities where the players who pay can gain some ground chasing immediate gratification. However … The developers will eventually ‘rebalance’ everything, making short-term gains irrelevant, and increasing the need for long-term players to constantly readjust their Squad Line-Ups. Invest wisely, embrace greater long-term strategies, and be prepared to change your strategy at any point if you want to maintain immediate gains. It’s not like chess where the Queen will always be the Queen … Over time in LYSSA, all your mercenaries are little more than Fancy Pawns … 😂🤣😆
Updates to weaken your team and force purshasing
Game is interesting but…if you don’t spend tones of money you won’t be competitive and you will stall in the game. Don’t waste your money on mercenary nor on the commander because the dev will upload an update which will weaken your new acquisitions and make then useless so you would have to spend on other new upcomings. I am done with this game…
Pay to win!
Overall the game is good but simply put it is pay to win. It is impossible to beat someone who spends money on the game. Playing against certain characters also make it impossible to do anything in battle. This makes it frustrating to want to keep playing the game when it is so unbalanced..

Enjoyable
It’s a fairly fun car game with collection similar to magic as the closest I can get. But those first couple images I’ve never seen a battle system like that in this game. It’s just battle against players with your team that you’ve made from collecting.

Has potential
It’s a lot of fun to play but the grinding is crazy. Takes a looooong time to make progress. Also, any packages for purchase are EXPENSIVE. Some of the ads (they are optional) are almost 2 minutes long.

Fun game with a huge BUT
It’s a fun game. But they are coming out with new characters and captains faster and faster, and it’s a clear money grab. They release OP captains that you drop $50 on and can instantly start smashing everyone. The P2W aspect really bogs down the P2P side of things. Then there’s the minigames that they release. Again, these are clear money grabs where you need to use so many gems to get through them that it doesn’t really make it that fun. And the maze? Don’t even get me started on that. Never in my life have I seen a game mode in anything geared so heavily to the CPU. They get the exact character they need, at the exact moment every single time. You sit there for 30 minutes doing the same battle over and over and over again just to try to get that 1 game where things align for you. And if you miss it, it’s gone! The maze is so ridiculous I’ve just started ignoring it completely. It is a massive failure. It used to be a decent minigame, where it was challenging but you could actually win and I did, but then a couple updates ago the developers I guess got mad or whatever and decided to basically make it impossible. The game has started great, but the more I play it the more money hungry the devs get and the worse the updates get. Terrible company and the game is so ridiculous, don’t even waste your time downloading. Steer clear.

Really fun game. Need to apply strategy to get the wins sometimes. My biggest request is Please give a large bonus if someone surrenders !!!!!! It makes it hard to do some of the quests when you have people quit against you. Also if a person just doesn’t take their turn there’s no time limit. You eventually have to surrender to be able to continue, giving you a loss
Game does not make sense
When comparing mercenaries of my opponent is just simply unrealistic because of the amounts of attack boosting (needs to be fixed) with no clear indication of how it’s even possible and unreal amount of players paying just to simply win is not enough of a reason to keep playing. It took no skill or strategy to make a team when VC is in the game and pushed onto the consumer.

Has some flaws that are slowly being ironed-out over time, but…
Overall, just a great game; however, that said: adding roller support would(IM-humble-O) only serve to make the game better. Maybe that’s an unpopular opinion, but as someone playing on an iPhone 14 Pro with hands so big, I could fat-finger keys on a comically oversized PHYSICAL keyboard… please add external controller support ASAP, IAAP (if at all possible). PS — I know it’s possible, so please just do it. I’m just so very, very tired of dropping my mercs on the wrong tiles.
Gets boring quick!
I dont understand the purpose of this game. Although the graphics look nice, the gameplay is nothing like the ads. I wish developers will stop with the fake ads. Its so unprofessional and sneaky.
Spending wins
I absolutely love this game. However, you don’t stand a chance at competing if you don’t spend big money. The developers need to come up with a way to balance the game out so that average guys and girls who don’t want to spend money can still compete and complete events. Without spending money you’ll never get past halfway on the second round of an event. Such a shame, as I don’t know how much longer I’ll keep playing with the game as it is. Hopefully something is done soon to balance this out.
Great balance to this game
The game moves well with plenty of side distractions to keep the freshness. The battles are short but very interactive so you are tested on your strategic skills regularly.

A new screen appears with log in, and if you don’t agree to sell your info you can’t log in!?!? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! And if this is not removed , you’ve LOST A DAILY PLAYER,,,

Deal killer
Started out playing and dropped $40. Seems like a good time waster even though the relationship parts got a little cringey and brought to mind neck beards with anime pillows. The part that made me run was when I was required to give permission to share my personal info with third parties to continue playing. Nope. Deleted.

Love this game but very costly if you want to try and keep up with the spenders. Will keep playing but at a modest pace. Not sure what to suggest to keep moderate paying players on board but hope to be able to compete in some events eventually

About the advertisment
I enjoy turn based strategy, but where is the action part of the game you play at the beginning, like in the advertisement? Is that another game entirely? Also, the chatting with AI thing is a little odd.

Pay to win game. No chance to climb on the ladder without spending big money on it. Would be great game with more fairness.
Good game unless you want to progress
This game is a lot of fun until you start climbing the leagues, very much scripted if you go on a win streak and unless you’re willing to put money in, I can’t imagine you will get far. Shame it’s another pay to win game, had a lot of potential.

This game makes you believe that you are player head to head with other people from around the world, but that is not true. A simple tap of your opponent’s stats will regularly show that they have not signed in for weeks, months and even years. Very often, these ‘players’ who haven’t signed in for years are able to deploy newly released characters at seemingly JUST the right time to be able to counter your characters. This is an attempt to try to get you to spend money to boost your team. Likewise, there are certain events that you can’t even complete without spending money. That is SUUUUPER shady. The game is super frustrating at times as there is little to no consistency with which the the characters’ powers react. They seem to just damage your team in completely different ways than they did in previous battles, making it feel very dishonest and as if the devs are cheating just to get you to pay money. The game is extremely monotonous and you feel like you’re just doing the same events over and over and over and over again. There are a million other games out there. Choose any other one besides this.

It’s a extremely fun experience and good gameplay features and amazing art with a bit more content and it would have my full attention the only downside is that it can be a little pay to win and frustrating at times runs smoothly and good quality 4 stars 👍
