What people like
- Simple and reliable daily tracker
- Completely free with no ads
- Clear interface without bloatware
- Good privacy policy included
What they complain about
- Daily average price isn't helpful
- No widget showing tomorrow's price
- Does not support half-hourly data
- Notifications fail on older iOS
Wonderful little app
Now that has up to date tariffs really nice helpful app!!
Cannot select many tariffs
Unlike other apps, very few tariffs can be selected. Also you cannot compare two different tariffs. Eg Agile vs Tracker.
Nice app, tracker only though
Really nice well-thought out app with a clear widget and good privacy policy - sadly I'm not using it now as I've moved to Agile. I hope 30-minute plans could be supported one day as this is better than some of the agile apps out there.
Notifications only work on iOS 17+
Love this app and the addition of notifications make it almost perfect. Sadly I have devices running older firmware and for those on iOS 15 and 16 I cannot enable notifications. The option to enable them gets stuck loading. For devices on iOS 17 and above I was able to enable notifications fine. The only thing I would request would be to add tomorrows prices to the widget.
Simple, reliable app!
Great app - simple, reliable, and it does exactly what it’s designed to do. Just a quick note for the reviewers leaving low ratings because they can’t find half-hourly readings, tariff comparisons, or whatever else they imagined: this is a tracker. It shows one price per day. That’s the entire point. It’s not a comparison platform, it’s not a tariff analyzer, and it’s not trying to be. The description is pretty clear about that, so the only real confusion seems to come from people who downloaded it expecting something completely different and then blamed the app for their own lack of reading comprehension. “Unlike other apps” doesn’t mean it secretly does everything those apps do. It means this one has a single purpose and sticks to it. If you’re looking for half-hourly data and complex tariff comparisons, there are plenty of apps that do that. If you’re looking for a straightforward daily tracker, this one does the job perfectly. And if reading the description before downloading feels like too much effort… you may want to start with something simpler - like primary school.
Sadly this App still has not been updated for the Tracker April 2025 v1 tariff…
Sadly this app is dead in the water as it no longer gets updated with the new tariffs !
Almost perfect
Does exactly what it says it does. Add a widget and it’ll be perfect :-)
Incorrect tariff price in my area
This would be a great app if only it gave an accurately daily price. In my area it’s always wrong.
Great App
Does what it says on the tin, this is a great app, without bloatware.
Useless
Just shows a daily average price, which isn’t helpful for anybody, and provides a link to the creators referral link.
Notifications
Excellent app and glad to see that ‘push notifications’ option is in the pipeline.
Excellent Octopus Tracker
This excellent tracker APP allows me to determine in advance to heat our house with the gas boiler or our electric heat pump. Thank you!
Octopus tracker
Great app & big help
Confetti
Love when the electric is very low that confetti flies all over it very clever!!!
Clear, Concise and Pretty!
Looks great, provides the key functionality in a clear elegant interface. Love that you’re offering this for free. Thank you. Small suggestion: could we have the option to only show either electricity or gas in the app and the widget? Also looks like the latest December 2024 v1 tariff isn’t showing yet but I assume it will shortly?
Great for energy nerds!
I love my energy tracker account and can usually plan when to do multiple tasks like laundry and ironing. Looking forward to the warmer months when I can build my account up (hopefully)
Xxxxxx
Really useful app and it’s free, what’s not to like
Excellent app
Excellent app for tracking the price of gas and electric. If the widget showed tomorrows price it would be an exceptional app
