Everything the Sonos app should be!!!
I’m still getting familiar with Clic for Sonos, but it is incredibly better than the state of the Sonos app as of May 2026. Clic is agnostic as to whether you’re using a system with older Sonos equipment or newer Sonos equipment that requires the newer Sonos 2 app - I tested and proved this by going into a home yesterday that was using 6 older Connect:Amps and 2 Play 5 speakers (requiring the old Sonos 1 app) and music on a NAS vs my own system that uses the Sonos 2 app. Clic works on both. Anyone frustrated with using the Sonos app should try Clic for Sonos on their own system. It brings back the pleasure of controlling music playback thru Sonos.
SIXTY DOLLARS
This is a joke right? $2 a month, $15 a year, or $60 for lifetime. How does anyone come to the conclusion that this application should be priced like this?

Sehr schöne App. Endlich Sonos ohne Sonos App Steuern, das einzig Coole wäre wenn die Spotify Bedienung etwas intuitiver wäre, mit Playlisten und co.
Great little app…except
I love being able to control my speaker from my desktop while I work. And for that it works great. Until it doesn’t. For whatever reason, it keeps not wanting to “see” my speaker. We have another Sonos user here and THAT one always shows up as the speaker in Clic. Almost every time. I try to set the priority device to my IP address and sometimes that works but now even that has failed. With the app telling me there is no Sonos at the IP address I enter. Despite that being the exact IP address the app shows. So I don’t know what happened. But I’ve just never been able to reliably connect to my speaker.
Yes but, need Sonos software to work for Clic to work?
In order to get the Clic software to work with playlists, you need to have Sonos software working. The same Sonos software that stopped working 4 - 5 years ago. Clic works at controlling speakers, but as far as a replacement for iTunes or Sonos music app it’s useless.
Great Sonos Add-on!
I appreciate this tool for giving me Sonos controls from my Mac and Apple TV. One suggestion for the Mac would be to allow the arrow keys to be used to control volume, next and previous.
This doesn’t work
I attempted to download this and set it up, not easy to use or user friendly. As I have then tried to delete it from my computer it will not allow me. What a waste of my time and energy
Responsiveness is king
I feel like Clic is so responsive. That probably comes from some smart programming and a lightweight, focused set of objectives. It doesn’t have to do everything the standard Sonos app has to do. Now, if I could only get a sleep timer to be measured in number of songs instead of number of minutes…

Great - except for Spotify
I love the speed and ease of searching and using this app. My only issue is that whenever I try to start a song which is sourced from Spotify it chokes and tells me to contact production support. The song never starts (if there’s already a Spotify album/playlist lined up it’s fine to control start and stop and volume). Not sure if this is a Spotify api issue or with the app. Fix this and I’ll be happy to upgrade to a 5 star review
Finally! Everything SONOS used to do and more!
We have3 SONOS systems and I no longer have to figure out which SONOS APP to open. Clic acts as my preferred “universal” app and it does a clean intuitive job of bringing out all the elements I need and use most. The Apple Watch integration actually works and it works well! Mac version installs without asking for prior versions to be removed or security conflicts. Thank You so much for cleaning up my SONOS world. I Love the SCENES and use several daily.

Better control than Sonos native app
Fantastic easy control of my system. Only thing missing is live lyrics on iPhone and/or Apple Watch. Please add if possible.
No mute button?
It’s a simple and pretty good app, far better than the official Sonos app (especially for those of us hanging on to early generation Sonos devices). But between a weird bifurcation between finding my stuff under a search button and the home button and no mute button — it begins to feel frustratingly limited for my regular use which is not good. Again, switching between a saved/favorited Sonos station or two and browsing Apple Music is cognitive dissonance every time, and I can’t just mute/unmute. (Which is what I prefer when listening to live news streaming than play/pause.)
Too hard to add Amazon
Simple to use but it needs to be much easier to stream Amazon music. I spent ages trying to do it and gave up then deleted the app.
Never going back
Masterful blend of original functionality and intuitive innovations. Works across S1 and S2 and interfaces perfectly with my Apple Watch. Refinements keep coming swiftly. 5 STARS+
Got this via ad on Six Colors; not ready for prime time
The iPhone app crashed my phone, asked to have Apple Music authorized in Sonos (which it already was), didn’t register the in-app purchase. The macOS app is non-functional. Terrible experience. Will also complain to Six Colors about running this as an ad/sponsorship.
Slight improvement
Update: The auto launch feature is a big step forward, should be on by default! Now need to get Live Activities, as it stays live even after I’ve left the house. I’m a very lightweight user, but I don’t really see the big difference against the official Sonos app. Live Activities are good, but not always in sync. The problem with the Sonos App (which Clic doesn’t solve) is that when I open the app, I have to click around to navigate to the system I want. If only one system is playing, just go straight to that! It’s unlikely I’m in the app to do anything else except control the playing system.
Can’t find my system
This used to be a great app and worked wonderfully. Now, for some reason, it can’t find all the speakers in my system. Tried shutting down and restarting the app, rebooting the Mac, everything. Doesn’t work. I don’t know what happened, but its useless now.
Pretty, now it needs to work fully
Main app is pretty and performant. Widgets are pretty but apparently need a manual refresh button? Seems weird. Live activity crashes repeatedly. Apple Music integration is missing suggested playlists, which are a thing I use all the time. Paid for the lifetime subscription out of the gate. The price isn’t excessive, but expected something a little more functional for my money.
Every Sonos owner needs this
TL;DR: Amazing app, worldclass Apple Music integration, amazing dev who made a product better than what Sonos’s entire engineering and design team is able to come up with. Honestly, a requirement for a Sonos user in 2025. Particularly a fan of the macOS app, but all the versions are super solid. The UI is what the Sonos app should have been redesigned as; it’s super slick and the design is very Apple-like, which I really appreciate over the monstrosity that is the Sonos App. The best part? Somehow, this app manages to load all my music and playlists just as fast as the official Apple Music app. The Sonos app will load for like 5-10 seconds before showing an album. It’s honestly worth the price just for that. (And honestly, it’s worth paying the equivalent of a fast food meal to get a well designed app that is supported and updated by a solo dev to make your $500 paperweights work again.) My only piece of feedback is the new UI for the 26 updates with Liquid Glass. It still looks amazing, but there’s definitely some super minor ui changes that will need to be made to bring it back to looking like a worldclass app. So super minor though. I 100% recommend anyone who has a Sonos product own this app.
Apple Watch app doesn’t work
Apple Watch app doesn’t work … bought for this purpose and it doesn’t seem to function. Very disappointed.
Much better than the official Sonos app
I tried this app out based on a recommendation of the ATP folks. It’s so much easier to find and play music on the speakers I want compared to the official app.
Crippled
It’s like being given a car for free but finding it only has one wheel and the others must be rented for 23 bucks a year. Once again, as this is now disconcertingly common, I am tricked into installing an app that is as hobbled as James Caan in Misery.

A must have for Sonos users
I have been pulling my hair out and having numerous evenings ruined because of how insanely wonky and flakey the Sonos app is. Finally decided to look for an alternative et voila, Clic for Sonos appeared. Downloaded it and instantly everything changed. No more constantly having to locate amps and reconfigure my system, no more sudden loss of control of playlists, just because I moved to a different room in the house.

This app stinks! Not working and wants you to upgrade to Super Clic for $ & that’s not working either!! UGH!!
Help email not valid address
The app looks promising, and is very responsive. I tried to send a question to the email address on the developer website help page but the address is not valid, so a review here is the only way to reach out? Does the app support spatial sound with the Sonos ERA 300?
Great UI
This app has a really nice UI but even though there is only one speaker I actually want to use, it is locked and I can’t change it. I understand that the developer needs to make money as well but js a bit annoying that I literally cannot use it.
It was great, now it isn’t.
At first use a few months ago this app seemed too good to be true. Almost every aspect, other than fine tuning the sound which required to jump over to the Sonos app, worked great. The app was quick to load, to respond to adjustments, and found the speakers right away. Even searching for music was much more intuitive and responsive than the Sonos app. But then…maybe about three weeks ago it started to not be as responsive. The app now has a hard time discovering speakers, takes a while to load, and the widget on the Lock Screen and the app on the Mac no longer updates to the current song playing. I’m still using it in hopes that it will return to what it was in terms of efficiency, but you have to be patient now.
Volume Control
This app has simple +/- controls for manipulating the volume in single increments instead of the slider that the official SONOS app uses. This alone is worth it for me.
Didn’t work for me
Can’t recommend this app for Mac. I had to uninstall the same day when I noticed that I couldn’t use my arc sound bar because the same clic app keeps disconnecting

Tried Clic, Bought SonisPhone
I tried the app and while it wasn’t as buggy as the official Sonos controller, it’s not much better. And 109% is not worth an annual subscription. Buy SonosPhone instead. Much better app experience and a one time cost of $3.99. And no I have no affiliation with them. I’m just a user.
A great idea with poor execution
I really really want this to work, but so far it’s not much faster than the Sonos app. And the widgets are completely broken.

Genau die Features, die ich gesucht habe. Live-Activities und Dynamic Island sind für mich die Gründe gewesen das Abo abzuschließen und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. An Performance generell kann noch ein bisschen gearbeitet werden. Ich bin bis jetzt sehr zufrieden.
If I have to pay i'd expect more
there doesn't seem to be a way to search music services here. IT's only to control what you already have playing. There is the option to play "Favorites" but nothing else. Add that and I'll give 5 stars.
It’s working, but it’s not possible to list services (like Spotify or Tidal)
Pretty cool app. But discovery of Sonos devices takes quite a long time. Also selecting music from a service is not possible at the moment.
Excellent Alternative
This app is everything the Sonos app should be. I mean, it even shows the current playlist position without scrolling! Now I can easily skip to the next album or listen to a previous album in my Library playlist (random albums in track order) with endless scrolling. Lock Screen widget is icing on the cake.
Not a sonos replacement
Can’t really access Sonos or Spotify library. No widget that shows large currently playing artwork. Not a useful replacement for the Sonos app.
Very decent Sonos alternative
After the demise of the official Sonos app, this is a decent alternative. The UI takes some getting used to, but it’s responsive, quick and -most important- stable. The lock screen widget functions, but it would be nice if it would automatically update the “now playing” info.
Subscription models are bad.
Seems to have decent UI and functionality but subscription licensing is a terrible choice. Ill wait till Sonos fixes their app vs paying continuously for an app with no actual service behind it.
Big advantage compared to other Sonos control apps, but buggy
Main USP of this app is that it that it is using iOS / iPad OS Live Activities on the Lock Screen as well as the Dynamic Island. Beauty of the former is that you have controls for your Sonos system on the Lock Screen which is an excellent work around that fact that the standard “Now Playing” controls in iOS don’t work with the Sonos app. But the implementation of Live Activities is not perfect yet, because when you leave home and hence your Sonos system the Live Activities widget stays on the Lock Screen as if you were still home, you the need to manually close it which I find an annoying inconvenience. Another weakness is that you can add services like Apple Music, Spotify etc, but the selection is very limited compared to the Sonos stock app, for me PocketCasts is missing, which to me almost defeats the purpose of using the app because why first open the Sonos app, selecting a podcast from PocketCasts and then go to Clic? If these two issues were fixed I’d give 5 stars. P.S.: also Clic is suffering from the problems that Sonos introduced with the redesign of their app by having a lot running in the cloud. But this is not Clics fault, that is fully on Sonos.
Love Clic! Better than Sonos App
Clic is everything the Sonos App should be: fast, doesn’t error out, and has extra features like live activities. Totally worth every penny!
Subscription? Really?
Pay a third party for something that should be part of Sonos? Nope. I get that this developer is trying to make money, but they not getting any of mine.
So far so good replacement for garbage Sonos upgrade! Just missing Sirius..nugs…
As everybody knows the new Sonos upgrade is horrible… This is the solution. All that needs to be added is the ability to use all of your music services such as sirius … Nugs… Etc. I hope that will be added very soon. When it is, this app is amazing.
