Getting better with recommendations
Can’t sync
We purchased this for our sons birthday in April. We have yet to be able to sync to his iPhone which is a new model so not because we don’t have the right spec. He is super disappointed. @statssports what can you do to make this work but at the moment I feel I’ve been totally let down by an unusable product.
Good to see updates with features from Athlete app now working Academy App
Had a few issues switching across from Athlete to Academy App but support desk were helpful in resolving initial issues with setup. Good to see updates coming through that resolve pitch alignment and enable inclusion heatmaps and zone analysis in the Academy App.
Update needed
When will the app be updated to fix things and also add missing features from the old app? A new app is supposed to be better not worse
Amazing
It amazing but I would prefer if you don’t have to earn to look at stuff and it should have steps but other than that it’s fine
Impossible to use
Don’t know why they are doing away with the apex for this. Pure rubbish from what I’ve used. Can’t seem to join a team and doesn’t seem to show as much as apex app. Don’t really know what’s going on with STATSports. Impossible to contact them as well
Not User Friendly
The application itself has so much useful data within it, from training programs to the stat breakdowns of what you do in a game where your device actually works and records data (which sometimes it just won’t). It usually takes a least a minute to show your workout once it’s “synced” and even when that works it will time out if you try to view data further (like your heart rate). There is no easy way to review previous sessions as the calendar feature doesn’t even work appropriately and they don’t offer a library of previous workouts that have been synced either. They also no longer offer Apple Health integration, the newer app has less positive features than the previous edition.
It’s good but why complicate it.
I have had a STATSports tracker for about 5 years now, this is my first academy tracker. I don’t know why the set up has to be so complicated. You can go into ASDA and buy headphones for £15, switch it on and go to Bluetooth on your phone and click pair device and you are in business, useable in under a minute, but with this it wants usernames and email addresses and passwords. I don’t think all that is needed, why so complicated ?
So far poor - had 4 days and been able to get it so sync to app once!
Not Great
Fehlt fieles, fehlerhaft
Bestwerte Statistik fehlt, vergleich zu profis fehlt, app ist langsam, platz kann nicht mehr eingestellt werden. Alte app ist deutlich besser
The best of the best
Fantastic training tool for footballers!
Major downgrade from “Apex” app
Such a downgrade in terms of functionality from previous Apex app. If i had bought a tracker new id return it the app and experience is that bad. Buggy also, month view doesnt work on sessions
This is amazing
I love sports especially football and this allows me to see the statistics of when I’m playing. Truly amazing.
Currently doesn’t work well
I can’t see my heat map, i can’t delete my session to re-import it. It’s not great currently and needs fixing asap.
Inoperable with ios 26
The app is unable to sync with the tracking pod. After running iOS 26, the app no longer has the ability to synch with the tracking pod. Every workaround provided by Apex hasn’t worked. Most likely a software issue on their end with the inability to work with Bluetooth under iOS 26.
Issues needs sorting ASAP
- App Crashing: Crashes every few seconds especially after syncing - Pitch: Fixed to a central point (you need to be able to move it not just rotate and zoom) & Needs to be easier to show where pitch is (be able to use satellite images to actually see the pitch - Analysis: Can’t see a heat map or how far you covered each half. Overall really disappointed so far by the app
Great
The app for me is great, but I would like more programs to be added.
Poor
Tracker will not sync despite uninstall and reinstall. Customer services have not got back to me even though it’s been over a week. I’m now aware of lots of bad reviews so not holding out much hope. It was my son’s Xmas present we’re both gutted.
Brilliant app
Great app with great content
Terrible
Needs a serious update , app constantly just closes . Syncing getting stuck at 5% on the gps device.nearly £300 and have not been able to use this at all since purchasing
Top Class
Great range of fitness drills. Diagrams to see how they’re laid out are a bonus. Also love the masterclasses by Premier League players. Hopefully they continue adding fresh content to it all the time. Has helped me plan my extra training sessions already in the few days I’ve had it
Bad review
Got this vest for and still haven’t got it connected as every time I open the ‘statsports’ app it kicks me straight off. I have deleted and downloaded the app 3 times now. Secondly, I emailed STATSports over a week and a half ago now and they still haven’t gotten back to me with a solution to my problem. I have also phoned up STATSports 4 different days/times and every time I’ve got a voiceover saying not available phone back later. I am very annoyed at this situation and just want a bit of help to get my tracker connected asap!!!!
Great drills for improving my game
Great app, great content with drills from professionals. Also the interviews are funny too.
App is so glitchy
Bought for my son for Christmas and so disappointed. The app does not show the sessions correctly, have constant error pop ups, loaded a session last week and now doesn’t show. Failed to load a session today but have tried to sync it again and not showing no session available. Feels like a total waste of money right now.
