Hard game but intriguingly different
I won't criticize the game for it being difficult -- clearly I'm not up to it. The gameplay is refreshingly different and quirky so it kept my interest. Until chapter 3 which -- even with hints -- defeated me. Looks like it should be an easy game. Nope. Kudos to the developers and users who can figure it out.
I’m stuck
The game got stuck. Cannot open the drawer in the hall. It clicks just once. Cannot finish the game.
Pretty good
Personally I just don’t like that you have to read A LOT because I’m more of a hands-on kinda person and I’d rather be able to interact with a room, items, and other stuff but the story line is pretty great and it would be the perfect game for someone who is more of a reader than me. But overall I love the game it’s just that one thing.
Great game but am stuck b/c of a bug on chapter 2
I really dig what I’ve seen and played, but there is an audio clue in chapter 2 that won’t play; it’s just silence on the radio. I looked up the answer to the safe in the study, and nothing happened when I turned the knobs based on the paintings. I’d love to play more and will replace this review with a 5 star one if the bug is fixed.

So after I opened the dwarf gate it only shows a yellow background with nothing to interact.

Need help!
I think the concept is very good, being a book lover this game incorporates the best of two worlds. I only have a small problem….. still in chapter one and I am trying to get in the mansion. Problem is the postcard is a white blank sheet that cannot be read. Also the word ‘key’ is greyed out ( I have the key) and no amount of clicking on the word will open it. Have tried deleting and reinstalling without success. Can the creators please help?

Challenging but not impossible. Great graphics and story. Interesting game play set up.
Stuck at level 1 intro screen. BUG
What kind of idiots released a game where there’s a bug within the first ten seconds. Enjoy your well deserved one star and go back to your freshman computer science class. Good luck because you’ll need it with coding skills this poor.
Won’t play on my iPad.
All that happens is that I get a screen that says ‘Hicksville boarding school, I’m an idiot’ and that’s it. I can’t find any interactive place on the screen. I closed and reopened, deleted and reinstalled, deleted and powered off and on again and reinstalled and same thing. I tried tapping all over and swiping every which way. Am I missing something? Update: thanks, dev! I see it now. I guess I tapped on most everything but those words. It’s sadly not my cup of tea with so much reading, but it looks like a good game if you like that sort of thing. I changed my rating bc it wasn’t fair to give a such a low rating bc I didn’t figure out how to play.
Interesting concept killed by a boring story
The game feels like an update on the old choose-your-own-story genre, and could be pretty cool but the writing and storyline is SO boring. I’m barely making it through the first chapter and am disappointed I’m not more motivated to keep going.

I haven’t gotten into this fully yet…hoping it’s an escape room type situation with puzzles to solve by yourself or with others. However, I jumped up with excitement & joy when I realized there was a dyslexic font!!! Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
Terrible
The play is horrible and the story itself is juvenile, melodramatic garbage. It’s like if teen Disney wrote romantic drama- totally couldn’t get into it. This isn’t a game, it’s a bad book
Very creative interacting novel!
Just finishing a story. The puzzles are very interesting and creative. I was glad that it gave some hints as it was getting harder and harder. I love the music and the story as well. I think $6 for a whole game is worth it and I totally recommend this game. The only reason i took 1 star off is some hints were kind of ambiguous, not very helpful. Otherwise this is a GREAT game!

It was super fun and I enjoyed it but I wanted to play all the chapters but I had to pay 8 dollars to play the full game please make it free it was awesome just too much

I can see this being a good game but you only get a couple screens into Chapter 1 before it forces you to purchase for $5.99 (USD). It’s an interactive reading mystery drama that has potential but I dont know what happens after the video in Chapter 1 after the code is interred in the door.

Fun puzzles and high production value
Highly recommend! The art and sound design is great, and the puzzles are a good level of challenging but intuitive. I also really appreciate that there’s an actual progressive hint system that begins with really vague hints just to get you thinking instead of revealing the answer instantly. This is really rare in adventure games

It’s a good game text based, but interactive. My only question is why is it 2gb!?

I love this game and the way it’s described as both a book and a puzzle. So clever and fun. The illustrations are a cool style and the puzzles are clever. I’m currently stuck on one so I found if I clicked on the door, I could get a hint. Unlike other games where the hint gives you the answer, this one doesn’t. It assumes that you just need a little bit more information but doesn’t give it away. You still have to put in some effort. Perfect! The paid version is completely worth it. I hope the developer makes more!
