Wouldn’t work:(
I’m giving it 5 stars cuz its a cool game concept but I don’t have a phone and my iPad doesn't have a scanner function
This is a terrible scam
I can’t even play this game
Love it but I’m disappointed
I love this game I was very disappointed that I found out that what I thought of the trading concept was wrong and I thought that when I traded something I would be able to keep the figure and whoever I traded it would just get upgraded version digitally but I didn't know that wasn't the case but even though that sounds really stupid I'm sad there's no way that I can trade back my figure so i hope there is a way for that to be fixed but i love this game overall
2/10 game “stopped” working
I was hoping to not spend money on the cute little figures to see if I’d actually like the game. And don’t get me wrong, I love this game ! It’s so cute. But I have maxed out the two little “starter” guys you get and I am trying to beat part of the “boss battles” but a random one appears during every game that I cannot kill, even though I hit it, I do no damage ? It is just a normal monster so idk what is wrong with
Where to buy?
Great idea but where do you buy the figures? Seems odd to release a game that uses figures that are impossible to find.
Good game
But could use some more music
awful
There are no subtitles in the opening cutscene and the controls are jerky and awkward. Uninstalling.
AMAZING 🤩
It’s so amazing. I don’t think there’s any ad and you can play with friends and family. It’s fun where you can collect stuff like little creatures. And you could play games where you battle other creatures and then you can save your world. It’s so fun and I think everybody should play this game.
Good game but ruined by annoying crashes
My kids were having lots of fun with this until the game started crashing every few minutes. It crashes whenever trying to re-summon aerthlings after their team has been defeated. It crashes whenever the tooltip about an aerthlings special attack/ability pops up. Sometimes it seems to just crash without rhyme or reason. If the stability issues are fixed this would be a 5 star review because the kids love the core game and characters so fingers crossed the devs are able fix the issues!
How I like the game
Really cool but I would like a battle arena were you can get heels of xp from moonlings
Fun
This is game is fun & easy to play.
Junk
Don’t waste your money
This game shows a lot of promise
I found this game through Torc’s video and ended up buying two Ascension figures. They won’t arrive for another three days, so I’ve only been able to play the free-to-play side so far, but I’m honestly impressed. The core gameplay is fun, and it has a lot of potential. I think it could really take off once the blind box figures start showing up in stores and the game reaches the point the developers are aiming for. That said, I am currently locked out of progression. After joining the Discord, I found out the Character Request missions are currently bugged, which can completely halt your progress depending on what areas you’ve unlocked. It’s also possible that the game expects you to own more figures to access enough Character Requests, but right now it’s hard to tell because of the bug. The world editor also has a lot of potential, but there are a few quality-of-life improvements I’d love to see. More customization options would go a long way, and a storage system for non-trashable items like rocks and trees would make building much less frustrating. Right now, if they’re in the way, you have to manually move them back and forth instead of storing them until you’re done. A top-down camera mode would also be a huge improvement. The current camera makes it difficult to select and edit tiles that are lower than the surrounding terrain. If a tile is boxed in by higher ones, you often have to lower all of the surrounding tiles just to access the one in the middle, then raise everything back up afterward. A top-down view would make terrain editing much smoother and eliminate a lot of unnecessary extra work. That said, I’m also progression-locked because I can’t upgrade the Geomancer Hut until the quest bug is fixed. Since that means I haven’t unlocked every world editing feature yet, it’s entirely possible that some of the issues I’m experiencing are addressed later through progression. I can’t say for certain until I’m able to continue. One final idea: I know a PC version is planned, and I think it would be really cool if there were an optional USB or Bluetooth “portal” accessory that let you scan your figures into the PC version. It would be a fun throwback to games like Skylanders, and I think a lot of people would buy it for the nostalgia alone. Including an exclusive Aerthling with the portal would make it an even more appealing collector’s item. Even with the current issues, I’m still optimistic. The game has a solid foundation, and if the progression bugs are fixed and the world editor gets a few quality-of-life improvements, I can see myself putting a lot more time into it.
Cannot enter game
It says it’s compatible with my device. It loads to 100% then cuts out & I'm back to my homepage. Hoping this fixes up soon as I’m excited to play
Add being able to trade the free Aetherlings in game
Add being able to trade the free Aetherlings in game
Game is great
The only thing wrong is when the quests dont pop up or the hearts dont and sometimes the moonlings get stuck under ground other then that i love it
Team cares more about selling more figures over fixing their game
I was really pumped about this game. I purchased 6 aerthlings to support the team for putting together a cool idea… the problem is that I scanned in my new figures and started playing the game only to realize that no enemies were spawning into game. This effectively makes the game unplayable because you can’t collect needed resources. I’ve been waiting well over a month and have been trying to communicate with the team in good faith while they tried to stabilize the game. Several updates came and the game was still not working for me and each time the team would say “we’re working on the fix”. Meanwhile the team is continuously rolling out marketing for new kickstarters and figures to make more money while I sat and waited patiently. The team made it abundantly clear that they don’t have any intention of prioritizing the fix and it seems like they are putting profit over their customers and gameplay. 🤷♂️ I wanted to like this game but I can’t even play it.
Would be a 5star but
Need to be able to add controller to play. Game would be better.
Pay to advance?
Very fun concept, aesthetics, and potential, but after a few hours, advancement will be starkly limited but scarcity of non renewable resources, and others that simply don’t appear. Right now I have several chonks I can’t heal because I need ice and bananas, and neither are available in any of the chonks I’ve opened. It’s also disappointing that there is no way to gain new Aerthlings without buying them, and absolutely no way to earn the necessary currency in game, no matter how much time I invest. I wouldn’t mind grinding to slowly earn over weeks or months, but there is no motivation to continue playing, only rewards for paying.
More than just a game
This is a really fun idea for a game, physical figures, trading, as well as bringing your figure to life in the game. The lineage factor was especially interesting to me. The fact that I can trade with someone else. And keep my figure digitally still but also get to see all the other times that figure gets scanned down the line is such a cool concept. The app is fun even if you don’t have any figs to scan and you can unlock other characters through just playing (although you can’t trade those)
Terrible Terrible Terrible!
“I can not get it to work I already have told this to the owners, they said to go and email them, I did but they never responded!!! I really want to play but I can’t cause they are not answering! It seems so fun and I feel that I am missing out 😔😢😭 pls help meee!!!” Ok so that is what I sad the second time I reviewed the game now is the third I told you I emailed you and you never responded, and you told me the same thing again to email you and I got really upset because I told you that I already did and you just ignored it and you told me the same thing again, how about I say this more clearly, I already tried emailing you and you never responded, can you tell me what’s going on? And pls don’t tell me to email you cause I will crash out, just pls help it seems so fun 😢 please 🙏
Great game but expensive cubes
I like the game and that I can try out more Aerthlings in the game, but after getting two Aerthlings I haven’t seen a new seed to get one more Aerthling in a long time. I really want the Aerthlings mystery figs, but those things cost 11 dollars and they are just cubes. Besides that it is a great game with my Treep saying that something would be so cool when he wants me to build something.
I don’t like this
It doesn’t let me scan on my iPad
This game is awesome
It’s kind of like sky landers if it was also a world restoration game. I’m so excited to buy the figures when they start releasing them in stores.
Terrible game and company
I planned on backing this campaign on KS despite the miserable experience I had with Beasts of Balance Rebirth. I posited a simple and respectful question asking about their plan in case the campaign didn’t meet their expectations (like BoBR) and they answered. But then they cancelled my pledge and banned me. So they will never get any money out of me in the future. And I’m going out of my way to let others know about this awful company.
Bugs need fixing
My son loves this game, but constantly has crashes with hatching new characters, he goes to hatch a new character and the app crashes back to Apple main screen, great game just causes frustration with so many bugs.
To laggy
The games kicks you out when your player no and sometimes you lose recourses. It makes it unplayable and if you zoom out the camera you get kicked out of the game. Can you please fix this and respond to my review. Sorry if I sound like a Karen but I just want to play this game normally.
Absolute must play!!
I haven’t downloaded a mobile game in ages. I saw an add for Aerthlings on YouTube and thought I’d download to see what it’s about… After about an hour I was absolutely addicted. Bought 3 characters to start with… The feeling of opening your figurines is an excitement I haven’t felt since Pokemon originally dropped in the 90s… The packaging is adorable, the excitement of hatching your Aerthlings is like none other. Now, I am “patiently” waiting on a new case of Aerthlings to arrive, to introduce and gift to my family and neighbors around me. As others mentioned, this will ABSOLUTELY be the next big collectible game, and I am excited to be a kickstarter backer! Welcome to Aerth, get in before you get FOMO.
WayLess buggy but Still no multiplayer
Fun easy game with no need purchases but who wouldn’t want to collect the cute little guys? To get the most out of it they must be traded with other players or accounts 1:1 The new look world is very very pretty and in game crafting is fun lots of details in the artwork. However at upper levels quests are annoyingly repetitive and it still cannot handle a big map. Last forced update fixed biome issue but large map now crashes again. Discord is great for targeted help. Kickstarter for new figs is advertising “smooth” gameplay which currently is only true for fewer figs and smaller map.
A bit glitchy
Great game no doubt about it but every time I go to build stone or wood structures it’ll crash and make me have to build it again same with the egg on that tower in the ruined temple Chonk every time I go to hatch it, it crashes. Once I bought a party upgrade and after I tried to build something I had lost it after it crashed I didn’t mind buying it with aether again but there was the problem I had lost what I had spent but gotten no reward. But still Pokémon plus minecraft amazing best mobile game I have seen the concept is otherworldly and the progression is superb. If it’s my phone causing the problems then sorry for using your time 👍😉
Error
Game is fun, but the problem is that sometimes if you have an unlocked particular part of the world, you cannot expand because if you’re out of heart, you cannot expand😓😭
It’s hip to be square!
I’m a bit on the older side but thought I’d check it out! My grandkids are getting a big box of them! Hope they trade with me!! Smart fun!
Non starter
Download additional asset on 1st launch. Lagging animations.
Enjoying with my son
Really enjoyable game so far only just started playing and already have this as a perfect cheap reward for my boy when we go to the shops. Would give a five if developers or someone can tell me why we can’t join worlds together? Just says un joinable / feature not available. Am I missing something?
Mediocre game
I'm 30 minutes in and I'm bored. The world is chaotic and unintuitive. I don't know how I found paper in the forest to complete my last quest. I must have punched a paper tree at some point, maybe? On the other hand, zero ads and zero in-app purchases. Rather, they want you to buy physical NFC figurines (like Nintendo Amiibos), but that seems entirely optional so far. The collecting and trading part of the game seems to be done right. If you like gathering stuff and ticking off quests, this game is a decent choice with its lack of ads.

Best game
It’s a game for action figures?
I tried to play the stupid game and nothing happened. I just scroll around the map. I couldn’t find anything to interact. The only thing I could do was find this thing that said scan a AERTHLING
Not a bad game but you have to pay to scan
I don’t want to pay to scan please make it for free
Fun Design, Big Limits
This game is well designed and hooks you in. It has an easily understandable gameplay with cute graphics and a well ramping difficulty. The issue I have is the limit on trades you hit between purchases. Released at a con that only runs for 3 days, you limit your refresh trades to one every 24hrs unless you buy a new pack. This means even if I bought some (which I did) I run out and cannot trade with the more hard to find aerthlings because I didn’t know about the limit and used them all. Can I earn more by playing? No. Can I buy them with in game currency? No. Now I’m done for trading until the end of the con after already sinking what I thought was reasonable into a new game. Cool try. Don’t limit things so early if you want it to flourish.
Really Great Game
Really fun, amazing concept and hope that this gets so much more support and attention by everyone. Going to start streaming this on twitch and hopefully order some figs. Might even do their new kickstart for the next gen. Like legit hope this game explodes with popularity.
Game bugs and $ issue
Game keeps crashing when I do pretty much anything- edit land, plant trees or new items, discover land, etc. Also, it isn’t truly free to play if there isn’t a way to earn permanent new characters (after the second one) to your roster. The only way to buy characters in the shop costs amethysts, which can only be purchased with real money (no in game currency).
Good game, but…
I have played Aerthlings for some time, and it is a good game. There are some issues, and I have some feedback. First of all, when I scan an Aerthlings on my friend’s device(because I don’t have an NFC reader), the MUTAETION point doesn’t get transferred to my account when I log in, but the Aerthlings does. A solution to this is to remove the NFC reader completely and add a code on the box or fig which people can use to get their in-game Aerthling and another code on the fig(or in your in-game profile) to trade figs. Please consider my idea and maybe do something like it.
