love it, but…
I love the idea of handwritten letters. Reading those open letters really makes me want to write one too. The only thing stopping me is that I’m a bit anxious about online interactions. If i can’t even choose what kind of people can receive my letters, I’ll always worry that someone who doesn’t understand me might send me a rude reply. So i’d really appreciate it if we could choose tags or limit who can see our open letters. I think people like me will feel a lot safer to share our thoughts here.
Images broken
Great app! But I can’t add images to my letters :(
Love this
It really med more cropping options, like free hand cropping to make stickers in the add a photo option
Fun, but horrible ui
Whenever you want to add a “sticker” (decoration), you have to click on the add sticker button, select one, and then you can mess with the specifics. The specifics are the issue. When you put it under the text, half of the time it just won’t let you edit it by making it bigger or moving it. This wouldn’t be an issue if you could set it up in position before putting it under the text, but the button is in a specific place above the sticker, so it’s sometimes off the screen. This means that, unless you move it, you can’t send it to the back layer. If you have multiple overlapping stickers, it becomes increasingly difficult to change specific ones. You accidentally click on the sticker selection boxes frequently, causing all of them to be highlighted at once. This makes it generally unclear. You’ll frequently zoom in when trying to enlarge items. Also, the only way to change layers is “send to back” or “bring to front,” no “move back one layer.” I enjoy the concept, but it’s very difficult to customize using stickers
Amazing
I love this app it's perfect to make new friends
Probleme
Ich versuche schon die ganze Zeit mich anzumelden aber es geht nicht
Great app
I really like this app and i even had family download it and they loved it too. Even tho I really liked this app i sent out 3 letters and still after around 2 months still haven’t got a reply also it would be nice if someone already had a pen pal for the letter to not be shown in the pen pal area
Awesome app!
I absolutely recommend this app, it’s my first day using it and I love it , people can send you letters back ,also the lettre team sends you a welcome letter! Awesome app, try it 🤍
No activity?
This app seemed so fun and like what I was looking for. I just never get any replies. I have since given up on it, but it really does seem like a great app, maybe other people will have a better experience than I did. Unfortunately, it just felt dead for me.
A Digital Sanctuary for Stationery Lovers!
As a stationery and handwriting nerd, this app is a dream come true! 🖋️ Lettre.app brings all the nostalgia and charm of handwritten letters to your iPad. I love being able to choose different papers, add cute stickers, and use the collectible stamps. It has completely changed how I communicate with friends and penpals!
Was fine until recently now the app just crashes
It started yesterday when I was editing my drafts and the app crashed. Then I opened the app again and my drafts weren’t showing anymore and the app crashed again. Now I can’t get past the notification screen.
Pretty good but
Locking away features like sorting by age behind a paywall is not fair/smart. It could endanger younger people on the app. The other options being sorted and behind a paywall is more understandable.
Looked cool but not really
I was going to use it but I didn’t like how you could only sign in by google and Apple like why not just email and password so yea
Love the idea
i truly do love the idea of this app! but i sent my first letter out a several months ago and got no responses. i sent another one around 2 months ago, as well as responded to people looking for a penpal, and still have yet to receive even one letter! so it’s definitely been disappointing. i know there’s not really a way for devs to guarantee someone will respond, but i wish there was!
Great app! Wonderfully designed
Such a cute and wholesome app! I made a couple new penpals and was able to connect over shared interests like cooking and music!!
Spam emails
I get spam “we miss you” emails from dev with no opt out / unsubscribe options or way to email them to request removal. I don’t even have the app installed anymore and haven’t in a long time
Mail sending
Such a cute concept and super fun, only issue is whenever I try to send a letter to someone it will say in the top left corner "Done Mail Sent" but a loading circle still appears on my screen and it doesnt send all the way, so its really hard for me to write to people.
Guys this app is amazing but
I want to send a letter to my friend but it takes 2 days to be delivered pls make the delivery shorter
1 problem ✨🫶
This app is amaizng - you can choose cute paper, add your own photos draw doodles and write with your pen keyboard! 🫶 the only problem is you have to sighn/ log in with a phone number which i dont have and when i try to sighn in with my email adress it says i dont have an acoount. 💔please fix this
My new favorite app
In an algorithm dominated world, this app feels so much slower and human. It’s not follower based so you can actually connect with real people all across the world. And the best part is that it’s completely free with no ads and NO GENERATIVE AI. I’ve only had this app for a few days and I can confidently say I love it and I cannot recommend it enough!
Got kicked Out
Update: Yes, I am still having issues with the app. Still not able to log in & still not able to after deleting the app & after the update. :( I am sad because this was a fun app, but not able to do anything with it for over a year.. :( I LOVE this app but I recently got kicked out (logged out) tried logging back in but I received an error. I have tried to figure out where the “contact us” is located, but could not find one. Tried different ways to log in, but nothing is working. I’m hoping leaving a review I could get someone to reply. I tried finding a contact on the app & even the website & still couldn’t find anything. I hope I didn’t lose my pen pals I have already connected with. Lettre help me, please!!
Writing it and loving it but what about my android friends
I am so in love with this app and its concept but what about my android friends? Will there be an update in the future where it comes to android? Also wish I could draw my OWN stamps but otherwise this is a 10/10 app I will be supporting from here on out! Lots of love for the Lettre team you guys rock!
You have to pay to send letters
Over all it’s a good app i used it to connect with my cousins and talk to my mom but then I realized you only get 11 stamps THEN you have to PAY! ☹️☹️☹️
LOVE but…
I love this concept of digital pen pals, but when I tried to send letters after my first one, it simply didn’t work anymore. It stayed on the loading screen forever! I tried opening the app again but then it just cleared all my progress of writing/drawing the letter. Please fix this or let me know how I can prevent this issue because otherwise I feel like it’s a waste of my efforts to do the letter only for it to be deleted/removed. Thank you for reading/understanding!!
10/10!
I love this app nothing wrong with it at all love the creators! Bye
I wish I could try it…
Every time I try to edit my profile the app force closes out. I wish I could try to use this app. I’ve heard such good things.
App closing itself
Just discovered this app, so far I’m obsessed with it. But, recently it’s been closing the app by itself while I’m in middle of writing a letter. Kinda sad but hopefully this next update will fix this issue.
Broken
This app was great until it just stopped loading… I open it now and I can’t click anything it won’t even move so I can’t submit a support request even. Very upsetting as I was loving the app ans waiting on several letter responses :(
Great app just wish it would not lag
I love the app just at times when I go to send the mail it don’t send it’s like the app gets stuck I have tried to restart the app but it seems the only fix it copying and pasting in a new letter I hope they fix this soon
Love it
I don’t usually write reviews on apps , but I love this app I’m very happy that I discovered this app and people should really try this app out
previously free feature is now paid
express send suddenly became paid?? really like the idea of this app and have been a user since december, but putting our control on the sending time behind a paywall is kinda weird, knowing the subscription is not extremely affordable for countries like where I live.
a bit confusing 😓
i’ve been using this app for a while and i love it, but i wish i could see peoples profiles, even if i hadn’t saved their initial letters/haven’t been sent a letter by them yet 💔
Super fun but became glitchy
I really enjoyed the cute cozy vibes and the amount of personality you can put into your letters. I even had some good conversations going with 2-3 people! But then randomly one day with nothing wrong with my internet, it stated saying internet issues and wouldn’t load up my profile or any letters sent or received. It’s been about a week or two and it’s still saying the same thing no matter what I do and it’s fully updated.
I looooooove this app!
I love that this app is free and that you can put whatever information you want (as long as its bot personal) And that you can send letters to anyone in the entire world and ask them what there culture is! It's almost like social studies in real life happening right now! I would recommend this to people who love to write digitaly or in real life!
Laggy and sloppy
Even if you have perfect wifi and the latest phone model, app is still extremely laggy. Letter system is cheaply and sloppily made, a glitch constantly shows the same person’s letter over and over. It’s a good idea for an app but execution is not good
Small problem
Love the app and mechanics but sometimes placing the stickers is a bit hard and it takes a super long time to actually send the letter(it’s stuck loading💔) overall still cute
Ok I guess
I’ve been using the app for a couple of days and I keep getting kicked out randomly and have to sign back in and redo my letter. Then once I sign in all over again as soon as I press draft to go back to my work it instantly kicks me back to my Home Screen. I don’t if it’s my iPad or what but I have never had this happen on any other app.
Amazing!
I wish there was more options for tools to write with! But, I do love this app! I can’t wait till it has more people!
No sign up tab
Downloaded the app on my iPad and there is no sign up tab. It takes me straight to the pigeon sitting on the mailbox.
Good but kinda confusing
Ok so basically when I am trying to make a new one it keeps on showing the side thing where it has to go to like stamps etc and it won't move it
I love it, but...
My two issues ive had quite often while using this app is whenever I open it it says im logged out and have to log in every time i want to check my mail, then another issue is when i try to open my inbox, it doesnt work the first few times and says theres an error trying to open it then i have to close the app, re-login then try all over again! Otherwise i love the app but its really frustrating :/
:D pretty cool
Just sent my first letter…I love the idea so much! A great way to make new friends and get in touch with people across the country and world!
Disappointed after so much effort
I really wanted to love this app. The idea of connecting with penpals around the world is amazing, and I was excited to start writing. I spent over two hours carefully crafting a heartfelt, detailed letter… only for the app to crash right as I was about to send it. Everything was lost, and there’s no auto-save or draft recovery feature. I’m actually heart broken. It’s incredibly discouraging to put in so much time and effort just to have it disappear. I really hope the developers consider adding a save/draft function, especially since this app is all about writing and meaningful connection. Until then, I can’t recommend it.
Fun but buggy
I’ve been using this app for about two months now at first it was great but recently whenever I try to log in it’s saying there is an error upon trying to open my inbox which is really inconvenient when I receive a letter but can’t respond for days due to this issue! 😭
network error?
i really like this app so far, i downloaded it last night and began writing letters completely fine, then randomly it began saying there was a network error and not sending anymore letters after i sent about 4. i’ve checked my internet and wifi, and everything is working fine except for the app. is there any solution for this? i haven’t been able to find a solution online or in app support, which makes me sad since i really enjoyed the app so far :(
