The best Customer service
Anytime with a new product set an app is so much difficult but once you get to figure it out, it’s amazing and with the help of the foresight Tech group and customer service. They made it so easy for me to set up a launch monitor. I would highly recommend using this company for Golf technology they are the best. DCDan 150 rounds a year
Important features now behind a subscription wall
I have owned a GC quad since 2017 and I recently upgraded to a quad max. Paid for all the lifetime software. I may have as much as $30,000 sunk into their ecosystem. Their latest iPad app had some really nice features which I was happily using for several months. HOWEVER, their recent “upgrade” is now a DOWNGRADE. Original features have been stripped out to force users into paid subscriptions. Sadly, despite top-notch hardware, the company has become greedy and wants to squeeze more dollars out of enthusiasts. BUYER BEWARE. YOU MAY BE BETTER OFF WITH CHEAPER HARDWARE IF YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION EITHER WAY. Major Golf websites are already aware of this and it is well documented.
Difficult to connect at times
Difficult to connect at times. I find I have to quit all other apps on the iOS device and needs good iOS Internet connection to complete connection to the launch monitor. Unfortunately, sometimes when you’re out in the field, the Internet connection is not the best and this makes the whole connection process difficult at times. Once connected, works fairly well.
Be careful
I’m an old athlete, spent too much time doing sports and not paying attention to technology advancing around me. I have a BLP and used to connect in the backyard to an iPad and hit into a net using FSX PRO. I had occasional connection issues but usually once I was up and running I was good. I was told by technical support to download the new foresight app, now I’m having major connectivity issues. Sometimes I’m on and 3 swings, disconnected, sometimes 8 swings. I once had a good run going, went to switch clubs and disconnected me again. Since I have no room inside and I live in a state that golf is seasonal, I have to use it a bit to get my money’s worth and definitely am not.
Ball finding dialog annoying
App is better and great for quick practice but annoying to block until another ball in place before I can review previous shot.
Love it
Apps fantastic!!
Do NOT install v2.16
Foresight Sports screws over GC3 and GCQuad owners with its new Foresight+ App. I’ve been using v2.15 for some time and recently, my iPad Pro unfortunately, auto updated to v2.16. Now features like club dispersion, Drill Library, and the ability to save unlimited sessions are behind an annual subscription. When I purchased my GC3 in October of 2021 at a premium over a Bushnell LaunchPro, it was because I wouldn’t be paying for any software updates. This is BS and Foresight Sports knows it.
Please consider adding Estimated Face-to-Path or Launch Direction-to-Path in a future app update!
I love my Bushnell Launch Pro, but I would really like to see Foresight add a Calculated/Estimated Face-to-Path metric for Launch Pro and GC3 users. The Launch Pro already measures Club Path and Horizontal Launch Angle, so it should be possible to provide a useful estimated relationship between the face/launch direction and club path. I completely understand that this would not be the same as the directly measured Face Angle available on the GCQuad/QuadMAX, and it could be clearly labeled “Estimated” or “Calculated.” For golfers working on swing direction and face control, this would be an incredibly useful practice and coaching metric. Please consider adding Estimated Face-to-Path or Launch Direction-to-Path in a future app update!
Mobile Options: Not Impressed
Routinely disconnects and feels like like 2010s tech or a printer when it comes to updates, reliability and breadth of info being displayed. FSX Apps on an iPhone aren’t usable because of the notching on the device, iPad being the same experience. Then there’s how many apps that do how many things? What’s the distinct purpose for each? Connection options are also limited… in the day and age we are in, the UI side needs to be better for the expense of the platform
Frustrating bugs
The functionality can be really good when it works. It drops out quite a lot having to reconnect to the launch monitor. Also I have an iPhone SE device and it doesn’t render at all and clearly never been tested as once connected to the monitor there is no way to get to the submit button so is very frustrating as I don’t want to have to take my iPad to the range.
They really did it.
This app went from basically unusable to indispensable. I love the drills and quick range. Keep cooking guys!
Nothing works any more
Now they want me to pay for annual subscription after paying over $20K for Quadmax with putting data, now I can’t use drills or tags even though I have the Quadmax - what kind of shady practices are these? It was all working last week
Good but good be great
Great app overall and the data quality from the Launch Pro is outstanding, but there are two features that would significantly improve the user experience. 1. Please add ball normalization to the Bag Mapping/MyBag feature. Many of us perform bag mapping sessions at outdoor ranges using limited-flight or standard range balls. Since Shot Analysis already supports normalization, it would be extremely helpful to allow users to select a “From Ball” and “To Ball” during Bag Mapping so distances can be normalized to the player’s gamer ball. 2. Please allow users to save default ball normalization settings. Currently, in Shot Analysis, the app requires the user to reselect the “From Ball” and “To Ball” every session. It would be much more convenient to save a default preference (for example, Range Ball → Chrome Tour X) that automatically applies to future sessions. These two enhancements would make outdoor practice and bag gapping substantially more accurate and convenient for Launch Pro users.
Shot analysis
Not easy to delete a bad shot when gathering data for a club. I was told I could swipe and delete the particular data while in session, but that option is not available.
Make Perfect Practice Fun
…Foresights new Training Facility App takes practicing to a whole new level with Tour accurate instant numbers. Dial in your short game, practice pin placements for tournaments, see club paths, disbursements, and launch data all on your phone. From everyday hackers, junior golfers, elite golfers, college golfers and pro golfers practicing just got FUN again.
No help buyer beware
7 days of calls and emails No-one will answer the phone ore call me back. If they don’t contact me by close of business today im sending my Bushnell back trying different brand
A Much Better App
Foresight’s hardware has always been some of the very best, but their software has been some of the most disappointing. This app finally gets Foresight close to the competition that has leapfrogged them a while ago. The graphics are better, the drills are useful but they could improve still. The range is better but can use some more customization options for data display. Overall a good update!
Too many bugs
Can’t believe they’ve regaled this app with so many bug. Give us an option to still use the old app until this works.
Great App - needs more
Just got an lpi and the app is fantastic. -Love the training modes. -Good range, needs more metrics. -Connectivity and UI are great. One major suggestion: please let the user disable the hitting zone popup. The launch pro already has a status indicator and I don’t need it to show on the app too. Because my sim screen is tensioned in a way that wedge shots often return exactly to the hitting area, I don’t get to see where my ball finishes on the range and in training modes. The ball rolls back into the hitting area and the popup blocks the screen. Keep up the great work!
Issues with connectivity
I have never been able to connect the Foresight app to my IPad. Connects easily on my phone but for some reason the iPad doesn’t connect…….despite my repeated efforts with Foresight technical support….nothing they have had me do has worked.
Much improved, would love more challenges
The new app fixes many connection and usability issues from FSXPro. The addition of the range view is a huge plus. I do Split View with tiles and range - this works, but I wish there were a full screen range view where I could customize which tiles show. I enjoy the challenges, and think this is an area where Foresight could keep investing to build an excellent software offering that matches their hardware.
Slightly better
Slightly better than fx pro, but not much. The launch monitor is incredible, but the app closes constantly. It’s pretty awful.
Recent Updates 👍
The recent app updates are great. I love the new combines/challenges are great for practice. Foresight team - please release versions for tee shots! A tee shot game similar to “quadrants” would be awesome. Intentionally hitting it left and right of center, etc.
Still not good
Way better than the FS Pro app…which was possibly the worst app I’ve ever used, but it’s still bad for such a large company. My launch monitor connects without issue but then the range just doesn’t work aka the shots I hit don’t show up.
PC FSX Play and Foresight App data sync problem
GC3s on PC, using FSX Play drive range, and shows all data no problem, but if you open your Foresight App on iphone, it only sync data from Driver to 9i, no wedge data will be pulled from server from P GW SW LW.
Was working but now doesn’t open
App just shows start screen, then crashes Problem persists after restart of phone and app
Great
I am an instructor and this app is finally catching up to the hardware. I now have 1 place for instruction and fittings on the go which is great. Also I like the fact that it is super intuitive to use compared to the older stuff. I enjoy the extra game improvement section not only for lessons but for myself, really has help me see where I am struggling. My son has recently created an account and the mybag is great for awareness on his part. So much to love about this app and recent updates.
Would not stay connected
Connected initially then continued challenges connecting and staying connected.
Love the new app
I love the new app and it’s features. It looks a lot better than the old one. I wish you would make it compatible with the iPhone like the iPad. I use my Mevo Plus more because of that reason.
Sigh
Frustrating. Much like all the other apps. This one is a little better than FSX play, but not by much. Some data isn’t available despite it being part of the subscription. And cloud data doesn’t sync properly. Something about “cannot read property positions of null”. I truly wish this company would put a quarter of the effort they do into their machines, into the apps we use with them. It really ruins what is otherwise a good machine.
Keeps Getting Better
I love how the developers keep trying to improve the app on both phone and tablet. There are still plenty of users who use the app out on the range and it’s extremely helpful!
App won’t work
Have a bushnell LP and tried using the app for the ladder drills, it worked the first time and hasn’t since , you would think if we can spend thousands on their machines they could atleast make an app that works.
Good but some issues
Overall loved the apps overhaul. But sometimes when I wanna look at my dispersions and shot analysis after a session the page gets a white tint and doesn’t let me interact. Not sure why this happens but not all sessions have this problem when I click into them
GC3
Currently dose not work with the app, would be a nice addition.
Great app
Big Improvement from last app. UI is great and very reliable.
Free trial?
Doesn’t work with the 14 day free trial.
Good but….
First off the connection to my GC3 is way better. The tables and tiles are were all there on the old app. This app just seems to run smoother. However I hate the start menu. The last one let me select different profiles for friends if they came over. It was easy to just click and go. I don’t know what I am looking at when I start it up. The biggest issue I have is not seeing the ball flight. I bought this thing to use in my backyard, just hitting balls into a net. I really loved watching the visual of the flight. I hope they add that in the near future. I have owned the gc3 since launch and this maybe the smoothest it has run. The updates to the machine and the app. I am looking forward to the next updates.
Great app for Bushnell Launch pro users(or any foresight LM)
It connected immediately to my bushnell launch pro. The interface looks really clean and it’s easy to work with and very intuitive. Well done foresight on this one👏. I’ve used their apps for the last 3 years and they have come a long way in developing their software. I did a myBag session and it synced up with fsx live so I can use the link enabled x3+link excited to try and see how the range finder works with my launch monitor data.
Dumbest App
What is Bushnell doing. It’s a joke I can’t plug my own info into this thing and need to connect to a launch monitor to input any kind of data.
Soo viel besser
Habe gestern die FSX Pro als unbrauchbar bewertet. Diese App hier macht GENAU das, was man will! Und das ohne Abbrüche, Freezes, ….. So ist das super! Danke!
