I bought the full versions on iPad. But on my iPhone, it still locked and requires to buy again!!! The data between those two devices are also not synced which is very frustrating and absurd.

Avoid
This is not a good app at all. It is essentially just flashcards, but does not have any phrases to help you build the idea of how the language actually works. Also, it looks like they are trying to add numbers to indicate tone, but for someone just starting, they will have no idea what this means

初歩的なワードとセンテンスばかり。中級から一般会話まで繋げてくれれば良いのに。中級以上は広東語の映画などをYouTube などで探すしかないのが悲しい😅

I find this app to be very user friendly and intuitive. I adjusted some of the settings (sped up the English spoken words, for example) to create the most efficient learning experience for me. I live with a native Cantonese speaker and after one week of using this app, we have designated at least an hour a day to only speak Cantonese. If I could, I would give this six stars! Zeng!

Great way to learn Cantonese. Useful phrases and words.
Great app, language too formal
Great interface, great functionality, multiple modes to learn Cantonese. But, according to local friends and local colleagues, the language used is too formal and not used in daily conversations. Which makes it difficult for local people to understand you. (I have the full paid version, which include a bigger set of Cantonese material)

No pocket lingo

Sometimes it can be difficult to differentiate intonations where words have the same spelling. Might be better to use an actual person to voice the words. Pictures would help to memorise the meanings of words. Would like to synchronise my progress with iPad and iPhone.

Out of Sync
This app is supposed to record you and put you saying the word or phrase next to the voice teaching you so you can compare. It doesn’t do that though, they say the word and then they say the next word and then they let you record so you’re trying to keep it in your mind the word or phrase you need to record while they’re saying the next word throwing your concentration off then you record while they’re getting ready to go to the next word, and then you record while they’re saying the next word and you never get to hear both side by side. What a crappy app.

Better than others I’ve tried
I’ve tried a number of Cantonese language apps. Pimsleur is ok but very orientated towards business people visiting HK, and doesn’t even give you the characters. The others I’ve tried were frankly crap. This is the best so far, building up vocabulary and putting the user in control. But there are glitches: the facility to record yourself repeating words and listen back doesn’t allow you to record over your first attempt - and it doesn’t always work!

Great for beginners and people picking the language up again
I like this app a lot. It's great for beginners and people like me who want to pick up the language once again. I never learned Cantonese completely as a kid so I only got basic phrases from my parents and spoke back to them in English. I hope to use this program to get accustomed to the sounds and tones and then take on some reading material as well as some sentence building exercises. If I could ask for more, I wish I could build basic sentences with this app or have more words.

広東語の発音に間違いが
嗰個はgo2go3なのに 嗰度はgo3dou6になっている。 辞書で調べてみたが「嗰」の発音はgo2のみ。 マカオ人数人に直接聞いて確認してみたところ「go3と発音する広東語ネイティヴもいるけど正しい発音はgo2、少なくとも教材がgo3とするのは間違いとしか言えない」とのことでした。 それ以外は良いアプリだと思いますが上記は重大なミスだと思いますので星−2で。 20170630追記 幾多錢 gei1 do1 qin2となっていますが正しくはgei2 do1 qin2の筈です。音声はgei2 do1 qin2で録音されています。 これではとても有料版を買う気にはなれません。

Great free app
Easy to use, we use the daily words feature for words that my kids focus on each week. There aren’t many Cantonese learning apps available and this one is a keeper. Would like a few more features so we are eagerly awaiting for an update.

Really helps with remembering words, I listen on the train and actually remembered words and phrases the next time!! Repeats are great and introduces new words at the right time for me.
