I love my Gazette newspaper
I enjoy the articles especially on what’s happing in and around Montreal. I also like the fact that I can use my tablet or cellphone on my way home to relax and do the puzzles. Thank you for continuing to publish. Thank you Yours forever, grateful, and faithful.
Can’t sign in.
They acknowledged that there is a problem with the app and techies are aware, but no guarantee upon when it will be fixed. Lovely. It’s now well over a week with no results.
More pictures
The non paper format should have some pictures. It would be fantastic if the Gazette had a similar look and feel as La Presse has, it is much more pleasant to read!
Can’t access content
If I log in, the app tell me that I have to suscribe to read the paper. Which I am. If I don’t log in, I can read the paper just fine. I have just re-suscribed after a few years and I can see that it’s just as boomer tech as it was 10 years ago. Sad.

Dismayed to observe the continuing decline of a once-proud and useful local paper, being diluted by poor quality and largely irrelevant newsmedia content. Shame.

Too many problems with the printing option
I have to constantly delete and re-install
Average, once per week the app tells me to subscribe to read, even though I have been a subscriber for many years. The only solution is to delete the app and then re-install it. I have reported this, but no solution yet.
Stopped working in January 2025
This app worked fine for years but now it goes in circles and does not recognize my e-subscription even though we get the paper delivered daily except Monday. No online help from the Gazette. Will have to call support

My husband and I are reading the The Gazette every morning for many years, this paper being the only English one in Montreal. How could you do this to your readers?? Every Mondays ans long weekends you served us with these international articles that you grabbed here and there from different press and you put them together to give us a mish-mash paper with no interest to us. How disrespectful!!! You take your readers for granted pure and simple knowing that we have nowhere to go. Summer vacation!!! That is your reason? Sorry. I read La Presse and Journal de Montreal every morning and they pay their journalists to write and keep people informed even on weekends and during Summer vacations. Why? Because thing happen in Montreal and in the province and they do their jobs as journalists, they are on top of it immediately. NO TWO DAYS LATER LIKE YOU DO NOW. Upgrade fisasco
This has got to be the all time worse upgrade in the history of electronic upgrades! I followed their recommendations regarding resetting passwords..that didn’t work…it only led me to get another subscription….so now I have 2 subscriptions…which worked…..I call the Gazette office to cancel on of the subscriptions yesterday…I was told they would call me back….no call back yet! This morning…I’m back to square one! Can’t download online issue….I will be cancelling all my subscriptions….its not worth the aggravation!!!
Content and performance
The content of the paper is worsening over time, after what was a noticeable improvement one year ago. The Monday paper should be discontinued at this stage. Performance wise, I have sign in issues at least once each month, with technical support taking 2-3 days to reply with a solution.
No longer working
I’ve been using it for a couple of years and it’s been great. It stopped working on January 8. Can’t download the last edition. Get prompt to sign in but goes around in circle. Called support and got a call 2 hours later. Was told to delete and reinstall the app and reset password. No change. Very frustrating.
App does not work properly
I have o read the Globe&Mail to get in depth info of many Quebec news EX Business
Comics
The new comic section is awful. Most are at the level for 12 year olds not adults who buy and read the paper. Obviously a cost saving measure of buying from one distributor.
Platform
The Gazette needs to invest in a more robust social media platform. The current offering is unstable and unreliable.

We are print paper subscribers Deducted each month automaticaly from our account. We are unable to access the gazette ePaper Either through the app or google. I have contacted the gazette through their suggested channels and followed their instructions. We are still unable to access the gazette ePaper o/l. Not impressed and would love a solution
Crosswords
Overall, a good substitute for paper version when that is not available. However we miss being able to do the puzzles. Is there any way to fill them in on line?
Montréal paper but made in Toronto
Very disappointed that this paper is unable to publish the night before scores. Pertinent information is only available the day after. Not my idea of latest news coverage.

Good morning, The Gazette is great, but the App is terrible. It has been at least two weeks since I have been able to open it on my IPad. This has happened twice before until one day, it surprises me. It tells me I have to be a subscriber, which I am. I have changed the password multiple times and deleted and reinstalled the App. Nothing works. I have been reading the Montreal Gazette on my phone, where the App eventually works.

My Morning breakfast!
Despite spending time away from home, my Gazette is still my ‘go to’ paper for news. HOWEVER, being a copy of the paper version, the e-paper itself is a day late in news especially on my dear Habs!
Great service
I love this app. I now get my paper every morning right on time. Don’t have to worry about the weather or if the delivery guy will come. Also no recycling of old newspapers.
It hasn’t worked since before Christmas last year.
I have to login (UN and PW)every day. Support says they are working on it. It’s march and it is still not working.
Generally a good way to read the news
I use the app on a tablet. Strong point: you initially download the daily content. This permits you to read the newspaper offline. Weak point: if you don’t download the content on the day it comes out, it becomes inaccessible, replaced with newer content.
Times Have Changed.
I have been a subscriber since the 80’s and sadly like everything so many things, change happens and not for the better. From the quality of the content to customer service…
Generally good, but sometimes a tad whacky....
At times it takes longer than other days to get a download, despite my super fast Internet. I also do NOT show 3 or 7 days of actual papers if I want to check a back paper. Usually it skips a day for unknown reasons. Lastly, I do like the ability to comment on certain articles on line, bu5 more often than not, while it indicates a blurb with the number of responses the article has generated. When clicking on it, absolutely nothing happens, The Gazette disappears and I have ask for it again, same results and,magically, this problem does not show up the next day, but will no doubt reappear in some future issues. Need better customer service
It was fine before. Now haven’t been able to access the app for a month… Postmedia should have better customer service and fix my account without having email back and forth or call me back. I don’t blame the gazette, they’re at the mercy of Postmedia who clearly doesn’t care about local readers by allowing this issue to drag on for a MONTH! What a joke!!
Impossible to share articles
Reading The Gazette every day is a must and something I’ve always enjoyed. But I wish the ePaper was designed to allow for sharing an article via a link and thumbnail, as most media outlets do. I always have to do a screenshot, which is annoying.

Gazette excluded from Postmedia subscriptions (Jan 2025)
I enjoyed reading the Gazette as part of a comprehensive digital subscription including 15 Postmedia publications. As others have noted and endured, there was some related system update over the Christmas 2024 holidays that broke everything. Despite several misguided password reset attempts, my PAID access was denied. After repeated back-and-forth, customer service has confirmed Gazette access has been removed - with no prior notice - from such subscriptions. An extra, separate subscription to the Gazette is now required. In response, I have now cancelled all my Postmedia subscriptions. I do hope others have better luck.
Great morning paper
Been Reading the Gazette every morning - for seventy years still tops!!!
Horrible performance
Since the recent update and revamp the app is horrible. Doesn’t update properly. Small fonts hard to read. Doesn’t show all sections like business the business section. Postmedia tried to do one app for all its dwindling papers and has done a horrible job . Plus they doubled the price of the subscription.
