I Love TaxSlayer!

Go with H&R Block or Make sure you add every form yourself
Tax slayer says they auto generate child tax credit form when you list ur dependents but it doesn’t . When I filed it said I qualified for tax credit for my kids . I didn’t receive it called irs to see what the problem was and the lady said I never turned in the 1040 form with my taxes I was so confused as to why it never went through. So now I am amending my taxes and will have to wait 16 weeks (4month) for it to go through . It’s august so I won’t see that credit till possibly next year . I’m incredibly frustrated and upset I went with tax slayer instead of H&R Block this year .
Terrible navigation
Kicked out numerous times. Can’t access docs already paid (a lot) for! Won’t let me download or view/print my returns.
Payment
I think $46.00 payment for a state return especially where I get zero money money back from the state and I’m 100% Disabled, I think is HORRIBLE!!!!!

Forget about trying to access or print your taxes! Logged in 20 times App just trying to EXTRACT MY OWN INFORMATION!Guess you better just plan to get your own transcript from the IRS!
Not as good as it used to be
The help features aren’t that great anymore. The login was frustrating. Have to go through a bunch of the same screens over and over.
Malfunction
There is something wrong with the app it won’t let me type anything update how come I can’t download my tax return to look at it
The New Turbo Tax
Set up identically to turbo tax, but 1/5 the cost. Will be using them moving forward!
Automatically Upcharged me
Charged me $140 dollars after I chose the $0 option does not make any sense and the customer service was no help in tracing the funds ! Not recommended
Ehh
The process was fairly easy and it was quick to use. But it doesn’t offer any of the options that other services do and that’s kind of annoying.

tried charging me 150$ for state taxes
just tried again and its still over priced, the other app im using now costs 55$... it costs more than the actual taxes costs

I use TaxSlayer every year. But my complaint is I can never just download or print my documents. It just circles, no matter what device I’m on and then I have to close out app and log in again. Over and over with the same result.

Could not download or print returns for this year or previous years. Could not review return. Hope everything turns out ok You can’t go to a specified line , like line 20 on 1040. Wtf
Disappointed in the prize
I have been using TaxSlayer for over 10 years because it was easy and affordable. It is still very easy and clear for someone who is not an accountant to use. However, the price has more than doubled in the past year. I’m very disappointed that TaxSlayer is not keeping it affordable for those of us that worked very hard for our money

Tax season is as predictable as it comes. If your systems can't handle the volume, you are clearly incompetent. Use TurboTax or something else that is actually available for use.
Using this app since the 2010s, but…
I can’t download my return! This is a first! Blank screen that continually loads. I came to the reviews to see if others were having similar issues and apparently they are! I’ll update this review if there’s a fix but until then! 😞 Update! I tried the TaxSlayer website and was able to download my return there. 😮💨

It is to complicated. Hardest tax software that I have ever used. I'll be going back to TurboTax next year.
Couldn’t print or download
I have been printing all day for other family members from Turbo Tax but TS wouldn’t let me print or download before I had to file

Free offer very misleading 😡
Took time to fill out every form, ready to file. Read through the “free” tier requirements carefully before I began. Ready to file, expecting it to be free only to be required to pay $71 total for Fed+State. Vague explanation that one of my tax credits requires the Classic package. But I didn’t even have credits reported and it wouldn’t specify what exactly was the issue or how to fix it. Bait and switch AVOID

Great tax company. Easy to prepare your taxes. Even a baby can do it. Easy instructions line per line help. You can mess it up.

No cheaper than Turbo Tax, push products on you like crazy.

TaxSlayer file your taxes is by far the best app. I’ve used yet filing taxes. It’s a must have. I suggest you give it a try. :)
Didn’t let me import a picture of w2
I used to use TurboTax because it was free but they aren’t free anymore. I picked tax slayer because it said I could file for free but that was only for federal. I also had to manually input all of my forms where TurboTax lets you take a picture and it inputs everything for you. I would have just paid them if I knew I was going to have to pay anyways.
