Password copy paste no more
Have to manually retype password now to login. Would prefer the old version and copy paste so login isn’t so tedious.
iPhone app issue
Up until the most recent update app seemed to work well. Now when logging out app instantly logs back in (face recognition) must close the app to stop. Is this only me ?
Ability to toggle OFF insights
Please allow us to toggle off insights or move that section to the dashboard or somewhere else. It’s horribly annoying to have to clear out useless alerts from it. Telling me a deposit that I know happened “is higher than the usual trend” is absolutely pointless. This is banking, not social media. I don’t need notifications and alerts in the app directly on the home page
It’s…got issues
After the most recent update Face ID is no longer offered, despite the option being there in app settings. As well, when the “app support” link is tapped it redirects to a 404 page.

Was Great Now Ads
This app was great but now Meridian has decided they don’t make enough money off me so now they throw ads at me and “insights”, which analyzes my financial transactions (probably with AI) and generates suggestions to me on how to run my life. Well my wife and I have considerable assets with Meridian and Aviso Wealth. I informed my rep that I am seriously considering moving out all of my wealth account and bank accounts to another institution I deal with. Either they go back or my wife and I move on.

Please remove any ads , it is ridiculous , THIS IS NOT A WEATHER OR FREE APP, WE PAY BANKING FEES, this is our banking and it get serious when we come to use it, every-tine i sign in or click on an account i get an ads, never seen this
Missing two step verification
In order to use two step verification you need to talk to support line. Then once enabled you have to unclick a setting on opening page. Forget to do that and you have to call support again. Seems backasswards.
Solid, Simple & Reliable App
I generally hate banks of any kind. There are a lot of things that I don’t love about Meridian Credit Union, but comparatively speaking, they’re pretty much the best around. Big enough to offer what you need, but small enough that they don’t take as big a bite as the big four. I also still feel like they’re fairly community based even though they’re getting pretty big. I bank with Scotia and RBC for a few other things and the atmosphere/customer service is still noticeable. Lesser of evils I guess lol. If you NEED a banking institution, MCU is your best bet IMHO.
Too many pop ups

Nice apps but lots of sloppy bits that need fixing.
Okay guys. It’s been forever. Fix your awareness fullscreen sheets so that the close button doesn’t cross into the unsafe zone of a large modern iPhone with a Dynamic Island. It’s sloppy. It’s very hard to dismiss an interrupting awareness screen, and not especially accessible ya know? There are a few other annoyances but how about fixing this one thing first. Just do it.

The cheque deposit camera grid is to small on the iPad, never had this issue before!

Annoying popups and layout
The popups everytime I login ruin this app and this bank for me. On top of that the new layout removes the ability to easily see all of your accounts under one banner. I now have to scroll past an “insights” tab to see the rest of the accounts. Why?
Feels spammy
New update keeps pestering me to enable notifications. I don’t need notifications. The app should ask once then stop nagging. The app also displays ads every time I open a new session. This is very spammy and excessive. You also don’t have a mobile app support contact so this is being posted as a review instead of an email feedback.
Bug in bill payment calendar
Tried paying a bill at at future date and saw a significant. I chose March 30 and the payment form indicated March 2. I reported this discrepancy via phone days ago...still not fixed.
Notifications
The last 58 times I have logged onto Meridian app, it has asked me to turn on notifications. I don’t want to turn on notifications. There is no button for “don’t show this again”. So I guess I will continue. Thanks for nothing. Please add this simple feature.
Recent changes make the app unusable
They added 'features' that make the app crash and clutter the basic functionality. It also takes up more memory, battery life (especially with having to relaunch the app several times for any transactions). Theres also no options to turn off 'features' and there's a bunch of marketing junk you have to scroll through (and reload several times) just to get your balances No one asked for these updates, please change it back!
App isn’t working
These past two weeks I literally cannot pay any bills or send e-transfers at all. What the hell.
No phone
When will be able to have debit card on the phone. It’s really annoying

Can do most if my banking in the comfort of my own home. Transfer funds to people, deposit cheques, moving funds amongst my accounts and pay my bills. Can’t get better than that!!

Update in the app
The app is great. I would love to know of new updates upfront. I could not deposit a check as a new version should have been installed on my cellphone. It was a pain until I tried removing and installing the updated App to deposit the check. Thanks

Terrible full page ads on every launch. Difficult to clear them and no option to stop them. Hostile.
Problems with iPad
The previous APP worked just fine on all devices. Now it is not very compatible with the iPad, which is the only device I use. There is no horizontal orientation, only vertical, which is not as handy for an iPad. The ability to take a photo of a cheque for deposit no longer works. In order for the entire cheque to be photographed within the boundary lines, the iPad has to be held up so high, that the information on the cheque becomes unreadable and not accepted. Now I have to go to the bank to do my cheque deposits, rather than doing them remotely. Furthermore, on the previous APP, I was able to organise my various accounts the way I wanted them, as I have many different accounts, not all the same importance. Now they are arranged in default categories that are fixed, and I am unable to arrange my accounts the way I want in order to access them quickly. Very disappointing. Why change something if it “ain’t broke”?
Nice, but it has errors
Just downloaded. Actually, it is nice, comfortable and functional. On the other hand, camera doesn't work for depositing checks (photo is always failing), which is awful.
Great App
Very slick and modern with recent updates: biometric sign in, integrated wealth balances, auto deposit for e-transfers, etc.
Not accessible for visually limited user
I m visually limited user and it s so challenging to navigate the site using voiceover
Visa charges
I like the new view and features. However, I am not a fan of the way the post and show the charges on the visa account. Sometimes in the pending charges I get multiple $0.00 charges that I never used to see before this major update meridian just did and other charges that are doubled for some reason. As a daily user, I see this as bothersome because I always feel I’m getting charged more than I should be and an obstacle to accurate budgeting.
I DO NOT WANT NOTIFICATIONS FROM THIS APP
Every time I log in I get a pop up informing me I do not have notifications turned on on this app with a direct link to settings. This has been happening for months. Please stop asking me to turn them on. I would have done it by now!
Redesign makes navigation less intuitive
The interface redesign starting in version 3.2105 (2021) makes the app far less intuitive to use. The app is still perfectly functional however things that should be simple like logging in now take a second glance for everything. When I see a section for member number I tap in and expect to start typing but nothing happens. Then I see that below that text is a member number box with such a slight colour change that it is hard to notice if you are not looking for it. There is more scrolling around now, taking more time than the previous app. The functionality is all there but the user experience has gone far down.
I can no longer see my Meridian visa
With the latest update my credit card information is no longer visible! Not happy!
