Don’t know how many times I’ve tried to set up safe browsing and still haven’t succeeded. The amount of scam emails I still receive is ridiculous, frustrating and frightening can you help!?

Concerned about quality
I have been a loyal customer for a good number of years by now, and I have been enjoying the service. However in the past few weeks I have been experiencing lack of response from the customer service, functions not working properly in the app, and I have quality concerns about the protection filters applied. I remain hopeful that these are temporary glitches only.
Please bring back self-selection for trusted networks
Earlier versions used to let me select the networks I didn’t want VPN to be active; now the VPN stays on all the time, even on my own networks. Other functions and features (like Safe Browsing, Scam Protection, ID Monitoring) are easy to set up and work reliably.

No longer works via Virgin Media Subscription
I’ve used F-Secure for many years. Last week it suddenly stopped working on IOS. Reason? No longer works for subscriptions originally taken out via Virgin Media apparently (even though I stopped using Virgin Media years ago!). So no longer fit for purpose and F-Secure support unable to help. Consequently I’m left with a worthless and useless App taking up space on my phone. Avoid!!

iOS 26 and Cleverbridge issues
After updating to iOS 26, whenever I open F-Secure it requires me to log in again. However, when I do so, it consumes another license from my account, even though my phone is already registered. I had to remove the “old” license just to free up enough licenses to log in on another already-registered device, as it too demanded a “new” license. On a somewhat unrelated note, I have sent emails to the official online seller, Cleverbridge (?), regarding billing and promo codes for two years in a row, but have yet to receive a single response.

VPN issues
After my iPhone software updated I have not been able to reconnect to vpn. It works fine in other devices. The support doesn’t help with how to set up the configuration of the app doesn’t do it automatically

Not good enough
I used the predecessor app on various Apple devices without problem. However, since the “upgrade” it has become worse than useless: it keeps dropping out; sometimes it re-connects, sometimes not; changing the settings doesn’t help. I won’t be renewingi my subscription as it’s utterly unreliable.

On estänyt kaikki virukset ja uhkat mitä olisisin saanut ilman tätä, mutta pieni miinus on se, että f-secure käskee päivittämään uuteen ohjelmistopäivitykseen, vaikka minulla on jo uusin ohjelmistopäivitys. En tiedä oikein mitä tehdä, koska olen päivittänyt kun käskee mutta silti näkyy että pitäisi päivittää ja tämä on jatkunut minulla jo kaksi kuukautta.
Bring back automatic WiFi Protection!
The only reason I installed this was because a pop-up in Freedome said that I needed to. Why on earth would you remove the automatic WiFi protection with trusted network exceptions? That was the single greatest feature of Freedome, and “Receive a notification when joining a network…” is nowhere near as useful. I’ve reinstalled Freedome until you fix this egregious error!

Well, generally speaking, I have had a mediocre experience with the app. I bought the internet security package and it worked well! However, when I installed the antivirus for my child, the extension didn’t work.. Please fix this!!

Drain’s battery
Security features are good, but app drains the battery with over 50% battery usage by app in any 24 hour period. Remaining power at end of work is 24% with app installed instead of 86% with app removed.
F secure safe
I downloaded this App as it was part of a Virgin Media promotion with a 3 month free trial. On the plus side it does not seem to slow down my IPhone or iPad but it does not appear to be doing anything and it does not seem possible to scan the device. Not sure I want to pay money for something that gives no obvious protection. I have looked on F Secure’s web site and it appears to be slightly cheaper on there and with more extras.
Very buggy
Previous app was seamless but since the upgrade to the new system it often re-submits vpn settings, crashes, or restricts my connection. Constantly having to monitor the app, reset the connection and switch protocols to cajole it to work. Most concerning is the auto switch off and not reconnecting when using the internet. This is a work recommended app and the only reason I now use what was a great vpn

No longer fit for purpose
I’ve used F-secure very successfully for some years but in the last few months, the app has started massively draining my iPhone battery (50-70% in 24 hours)…which is a big inconvenience in the home and renders the phone all but unusable out of the home, such that I’m now having to invest in a battery pack to bridge a few hours here and there. I, and others, have logged the issue on the F-secure community…no response….although it seems some have had private responses?? Another on-going issue is that the password manager only works intermittently, requiring me to copy/ paste into password fields. Another inconvenience and one that was manageable until the battery drain issue appeared. I’ve tried to call both the UK office and Tech Support to no avail so I’m left with no choice but to use some time over Xmas to research another tool as I cannot continue using F-secure in its current state.

The browser has faint < and > and other icons at top of page, can hardly see them on my Ipad.
Poor performance but good features
When fsecure is installed on ios 18 (even with all features disabled) it delays the switching of wifi networks and even mobile data masts for around 30 - 50 seconds. As soon as its uninstalled the switching is instant. If your happy to run with network instability its a good product. Ive performed a series of test and cant find the cause including installing the app and not opening it. If i do the same with the older fsecure vpn app it works find (with this app uninstalled)
The new F-Secure App is a giant piece of cr@p
The new F-Secure is a total piece of garbage. It is a nightmare to share a subscription. It takes 2 hours just to struggle with a heavy process. The kill switch is broken. It sends you on a non protected 4G while it’s changing countries. Not a kill switch!!! A disaster. They used to have a simple big button with a nice design on Freedome VPN now they have a tiny switch that takes 2 screens and advertising for their services. F-Secure is an epic failure of design, ergonomy and security. Update: F-Secure has released a new version of their perfect ergonomic design Freedome App (vpn only). Maybe they should start over from this good ergonomic to reinvent their cumbersome F-Secure App. Update-2: Never put burden on your customers (especially ergonomics) in the promise of a better service. They will be gone before testing your promises. If you bury the old app, I will go. The competition imitated your original design!!!! Look at the new ExpressVPN. And you will abandon it? Just do what I say: add the new features in your original “big button” design. It is also a perfect sales pitch for your products and senior citizens can use your app.
And VPN?
Despite its name, I still can’t seem to find anything to do with a VPN. All the instructions say to just turn it on in the main screen but there is no option nor any mention of it.
Gone downhill in a big way
Used to be good until the ‘upgrade’ earlier this year. Instructions for moving from the previous password app to the new one were really poor. More than half the time now, the password app doesn’t work properly. I have Face ID enabled but when logging into a site I have to exit the window I’m in, open the F Secure app separately, copy the password manually - it’s a bad experience. There’s no online help available that I can find.
VPN
Difficulty connecting to Internet and was asked by Apple support to delete VPN from my iPhone mini 12. Also why don’t I see the green header when using like my sister’s phone? Can you reinstall just the VPN? Otherwise I’m very satisfied.
Lost it’s magic
This app went from epic to annoying: 1. Every app update requires new EULA checks 2. Every app update requires allowing the VPN to run in system settings. 3. It sometimes takes you to a screen that does not allow access to the “turn vpn on” feature, just some screen that confirms that your settings are correct, no home button. I’ve been a paying customer for years. Did you hire a new PM or UX person? The journey is a mess. I don’t want to deal with it. I just want a screen with “vpn on, vpn off, location” that’s it. That’s the experience.
Pumps a lot of battery
Great VPN but you have to switch off background refresh. I had to charge my phone twice a day otherwise.

It is an amazing app but sometimes i need to open the app to enable it. Other than that it is AMAZING!!!!
Unhappy Customer
I first used this Ap when offered a 6 month subscription, this subsequently led to me purchasing 12 months, followed by a further 2- year subscription. Since my 2 year subscription was paid, I have noticed I was not covered and my iPad did not allow me to search, unless I signed into my chosen search source, google every time I wanted to search the web. Having reported this a number of times, the customer service contact repeats the same instructions, which I have tried, and confirmed they are not working. I am left with a paid subscription for something that does not work. My advice would be to consider alternative options that will provide wen security.

Does not offer a non tracking search engine like duckduckgo, bing,google,yahoo tracks users, only duck duck go blocks these trackers.

No longer useable
Have used f-secure for several years hassle free, however since moving from the old Freedome app to this new one it has become unusable. It asks me to log in almost every time I try to use it, but in doing so duplicates the device on my account meaning I have to then go to the website and ‘release’ said licence as the duplication means I exceed the number of permitted devices. Customer services seem to be communicating with me on 2 different workflow streams, advising different things but not communicating with each other. Sporadically I will get an email asking if the issue has been resolved. No, it hasn’t. This issue has been ongoing for at least a month now, giving me zero functionality which for a paid service is unacceptable.

Since the last update , the private search does not work on my iPad Air, the browsing history does not delete and there seems to be no way to delete it. This all worked perfectly until the latest up date

Installed F-Secure on my iPhone 10, the download was easy, however since installing f secure i cannot open any of the features very frustrated at the lack of support.
I used to like Freedome
Every time I enable the VPN, I have to login in, get the 2FA code, allow the VPN configuration to be set. It’s just too much hassle at the moment to use this app.
It is a little above average
The search is good & it bookmarks well, but as you are reading it drops the information on about my 3rd request.
Not user friendly
I was provided with F-Secure Safe with my Virgin Broadband. I HOPE that it is protecting me/my devices but I find the app hard work & not intuitive.For example, it tells me that my iPad Air is protected but I seem unable to perform a manual virus scan; perhaps it’s just me !
Not impressed
When it tells me that there is a problem with a site but I can still use it if I trust it when I click to accept it keeps telling me the same message again and again! Sometimes it can’t access the site that is meant to protect me which is worrying. Don’t think I will be renewing subscription ☹️
