Good Australian coverage
Finally an Australian news app that isn't mainly sport stories. Good mix of news and topics and I like how it shows you which news you have read and allows you to comment with the rating emoticons.

Used to be bearable but after last update there is constant pop up ads with timers, just deleted it!

Your fix three days ago didn’t work to well, can’t even get it to open anymore. Yesterday it only appeared on half my screen then when you tapped on it to open up an item it was only half readable.

Sub optimal, more useless, don’t waste your time
Hi all, dropped this app from my viewing. Tired of 15 articles telling me the best ISP in regional USA. tired of opinion and entertainment pieces being put forward or passed off as actual news. Tired of click bait news headlines. Tired of best prices for sales events in USA. Mmmm maybe your AI doesn’t pick up that there is a difference between AUST & USA

Some reviewers seem to like the app., however it’s not for me. Just nothing there I find appealing. App aggregates from other news sources. Articles aren’t refreshed very often (at the time of writing there are articles that are days old), and there is a noticeable lack of variety for the sources, with most, that I’ve seen, relying heavily on 2~3 Australian sources, and there only so many articles originating from the Geelong Advertiser I can go through without being lady feeling brain dead. So I shall delete this app and continue to use my preferred news apps, where one can gain broader news across a wider range of topics.

I find it really annoying that I cannot increase this on my iPhone. It does detract from the quality of the content, which is very comprehensive.

I don't use social media in any form and this was a reasonable media cross section. To much woke leftist news now which goes unchallenged as many like myself only monitor this site and can’t give any written input. You do need a WHO CARES (WC) section for the social media queens as they are all about themselves. As we all know now Facebook etc are manipulated by outside influences so it’s not a moderator. Nothings changed since I wrote this review probably a year ago. Open up the responses without a so called moderator and you will have a better product. Not much to add as nothing has changed apart from more sites are requesting you pay per view, bit like a peep show. To many trying to sell news. Since writing this revue I have deleted this news app as it has become highly censored and the comments section deleted. Woke fascists at work here. BE VERY CAREFUL AS THE SO CALLED MODERATOR COULD BE ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

Good, but…
The icon selection needs an update. Often, a choice of response results in the count working erratically. The count will continue to decrease if you change your mind (eg; deselecting - going to another choice - changing mind and re-electing original choice will cause counter to go down (never up)). Also icon selection needs updating to add more accurate responses (as the available choices often do not permit an accurate response - this results in inaccurate outliers that result in the App providing a false view of public opinion- and that is the ultimate objective of the program, isn’t it!!). Try “propaganda” and “disgusting” because we are witnessing cause driven manufactured news articles and they need to be called to account.

I found the pop up ads very intrusive and annoying. If there are ads they need to be more subtle

Love reading the news and this app gives a very good coverage of everything Australia. A little too many “subscribers only” articles but generally I get my fill, and coverage, of news.

Deleted due to earwax ads
I have targeted advertising turned off and started getting horrible ads about earwax in my news feed. It was stomach churning stuff. I complained and they stopped for a little while. Then they came back and I deleted this app because of it

Comments ruin this app
Could be a great news app but people can label news stories as “rubbish” “awesome” or “sad” and also add comments. Thus you get people labelling news items as “rubbish” based on their prejudices not on the quality of the news item. This ruined the app for me so I deleted it
iPad app better
Too many advertisements and inappropriate adds for dating sites as young people read this news too.
Headlines that are dead ends
There too many headlines that have no content in their own right. Many stories, when you try to open in the reader it gives the message that you have to be a subscriber of that publication to read the story

Ads and popups everywhere
Waaaay too many ads. An ad every second news article makes this app terrible to use. Full page pop up ads are complete overkill. Uninstalling.

Not a bad app
Disappointing
I thought this would be a great news app for Australia, like the BBC's in the UK. But so many stories have one sentence and link to external sources. I just want to open my news app, it to refresh the stories and then I can read them without the hassle of opening links.
A useful app that is stable and works well.
The title says it all. I recommend it to anyone who wants to flick through the headlines quickly for a summary and then to open any story. Highly recommended.

Real let down as drinks data like going out of fashion. No thanks. Otherwise ok, leads to news items, but has annoying notifications. Not ideal.
