Update change no good
This was a great news app until the last update. Now it’s not clear and isn’t informative as it used to be.
Great but could be better
I’d love to see more real news. International news. Financial market updates. International sport. Less frivolous stuff and less repetition
Video uprising
Not appreciating unprompted unwanted news videos appearing when I open the app to read a story that can’t be turned off
Hate the new app
Go back to how you used to have it

Hi Good efforts by govt n all deptt thx
Nine News New App
I used to love this app. Every morning I would read through or watch the news clips and check the weather for the day. Since the update, I find it difficult to navigate, doesn’t contain content that is useful and there is no longer a weather setting for anywhere. I am deleting this app and will be looking for a better version from another channel. Deleting it now. Unusable for me now so it is just taking up space. I will update which is the better app for news content and weather forecast at a later date.
New format
Do not like the new format
Mr
Very informative.
Poor reporting
Poor on investigative journalism - clearly publishes left wing narratives
Great alternative to the “FAKE” news in the U. S.
Great News app I love the coverage both World and Australian.
Deleted It
This has football news and celebrity news first. It used to be organized a lot better and more concise, seeing headlines at a glance. Had it for years but after the new update I deleted it.
Too Many Ads
I understand the need for ads to keep the service free. No issue with that. It appears that there are now more ads/repetition of ads in individual stories than the previous incarnation of the app. Makes for very cumbersome scrolling and reading. I don't even bother reading long stories anymore. The app is still better than the ABC news app though 😊
All news
Good and clear to follow all the latest news thank you.🥰
New version of the app sucks.
No, seriously. It just sucks. It used to be good, easy to read and easy to navigate. But this version just sucks. I cannot reiterate that enough. It really sucks. Somebody needs to fired over this because it really does suck, oh, and in case you didn’t hear me, IT SUCKS!
App update v 3.0.1
Not loving the new update. The previous version was much easier to scroll through relevant news items & more visually appealing. New version is bland & majority of stories are not so focused on local news. Also when searching for the app on my phone it no longer shows up when searching the word “news”.
Every page advertises a sex toy
We don’t look at porn period and we keep seeing sex toys on 9News app.
9 out of 10 for class 🏆
Nine network has the best of everything all over the country. Great shows, great movies, and amazing presenters. Lots of variety to keep me entertained. Keep up the good work.
Return option to customise notifications
I don’t want notifications about everything, and I doubt many others do either. Since you no longer let me choose which ones I receive, I’ve turned them all off.
What did they do to it!
The old layout was the positive aspect of the app but the content was often full of grammatical errors and spelling errors. The new app has nothing positive about it. Sorry guys, you lost me.
Inappropriate knife advert displayed on Westfield multiple stabbing
Read an article about last night’s stabbing in Westfield Bondi Junction. An advert for a sharp knife was displayed. Hence the reason for 3 stars and not 4 stars.
Albo
Need to leave is hospital not station Indy. That
Thumbs down.
The new and improved app isn’t improved at all! I have to wonder if its redesign was done by the disastrous BOM team. It’s messy, disjointed and hard to follow. The ‘articles’ are full of ads, to the point of being spam! You can read an article and every paragraph the ad is repeated. The content has the appearance of trashy news, rather than a trustworthy news source. The previous format was much more user friendly. I’ve deleted the app now and gone with another news provider.
NO WEATHER?
I’m expressing my absolute frustration with the unnecessary update of the 9 News app. I read the app content like I used to read the newspaper- front page to back page but this new update opens up web pages and doesn’t keep my reading within the app. AND NO MORE WEATHER?? I checked the weather on the old app multiple times a day but I can’t even locate the weather page in this app if it’s there at all! Horrible update. I paid $4.99 for a beautiful weather app and am now using another news app which shall remain nameless. RUINED one of my most used apps.I am updating my review to say that I have not used the new app EVEN ONCE since the latest update and I used to use it multiple times a day before the update. I now use another news app that I am not necessarily happy with but it’s interface is still easier to navigate than the updated 9 News App. I miss the old version.
Cannot find the shows I want to watch!
I cannot find the shows I want to watch!
Mr John Humphreys
Best commercial television station

You suck
New look nine news app
Why did you change your layout. Your old one was so clean and uncluttered. Not so much now. I’m going to look around and see if I can find a new one.
Good coverage
Good to watch the news from Australia. Get to see what’s happening before I watch BBC. I live in Britain.
Would you like some news with your ads?
Too. Many. Ads. 14 ads in 1 article, some only separated by 2 sentences!!! Abysmal news app.
Video functionality issue
Videos does not work after advertisement
Mr Alan morris
I live in the uk but with family based in the Gold Coast and a frequent traveler well not these days due to the bloody Covid . But when I’m in Australia your the no 1 news I watch 👍
Worst news app ever
Terrible layout, so many ads and click bait.
Opening some articles redirects to Safari
You look at the thumbnail and read the headline, interesting to read more, you click on the thumbnail to open the Article, but only to find out that it redirects to Safari and when you scroll down, it’s about live updates etc - totally irrelevant to that original article thumbnail... A bit of an inconsistent experience. Coverage is good, hence 2 stars
Reliable
Clear and not made up nonsense
Nine news website
The new layout is all over the place, hardly anything worth reading , a total failure !
Needs some work on alerts
Alerts show - tap on them and you get stuck in white space limbo.
