Still A Classic!
I beat it years ago and back then on a different phone account paid a little money just out of appreciation for the developers of the game. Just recently I decided to go back and play it through again. This was the first Kairosoft game I ever played and so far I think it’s still my favorite. It’s simpler and less flashy looking then some but it side steps what a lot of free to play games do by IMO having what grind there is be reasonable and decent to play out. You can choose to pay for certain things like getting rid of ads, but it’s also not all that necessary because the ad only plays when ever you first start up the game again so it’s not constantly interrupting and pestering you, and the only other area is where there is one spot where there is a tiny banner with ads often for Kairosoft games and stuff but it’s fairly easy to ignore. After playing this I got disappointed by how in contrast Kingdom Story does a lot of the things that other FTP games do that annoy me with the grinding, gems, annoying pop ups, and pressure to spend real money, but Beastie Bay remains a fun monster collector, rpg/town builder/rollercoaster tycoon-like and a good user friendly experience!

Kariosoft does not miss and always improves.
TLDR: Sort of similar to Pokemon but is an older game that other games improve on. Kariosoft is THE high quality game developer for phone games. Like the title says, they do not miss and always improve. This game is the example of my idea. There are mechanics in their other newer released titles that streamline and improve the fundamental game playing for all their games. This one has controls that feel very unintuitive? I found my self tapping alot in the menuing/playing the game that is improved in their other games. I recommend this game, this company and the things they bring to video games but also entertainment. There are improvements to the flow, playability and actual “gaming”in their later titles. I find myself (I don’t look up the wikis for this game before dedicating hours of play time just to see how the game developer handles the issues players like me and others face in the time playing) asking what certain things do again but can’t find a easy to read FAQ. Also this game and many others from Kariosoft are FREE and still look amazing. These types of games scratch the itch for this style of games but lack on solidifying fundamental game mechanics for future playing after you inevitably hit that “idk what to do now” wall. (you have to be an end game player intelligence from the get go)

So I love your game with all the pixel monsters instuff but could you guys do another game like beastie bay but instead it’s like more content maybe you guys can put in like new islands and maybe even a planet and have that yeah but I love your guys games.

Great Game, but one bug that softlocks
This game is absolutely amazing and you should definitely download it and play it, but there is an issue where the game softlocks before the game even starts when it says “Checking version” making me unable to play the game. The current version of the game is version 2.21. Other than that this is a very fun game and probably the best Kariosoft game to recommend to a person who hasn’t played a Kariosoft game before. The premise is easy to understand and learn compared to other games with some advanced features in it so it’s not as simple as it seems. -Apple Quest

Amazing game
This game has been with me for a long time I remember playing it when I was younger all the time and it brings back memories to me when I play it!
What happened?
The last time I played this game was a few years ago, and it was virtually perfect, but now a bunch of changes have been made that just make the game bad. The music used to be simple but enjoyable; the current soundtrack quality has decreased greatly in comparison and feels like it just adds a bunch of unnecessary noise. I have also noticed many spacing errors in the text where there used to be none at all. Furthermore, choosing to quit the game used to send you back to the title screen, which was helpful when you wanted to undo a mistake, but now it boots you out of the app altogether forcing you to wait for it to load up all over again. All in all, the current version of the game feels like the developers tried to fix something that wasn’t broken and ended up breaking several things as a result. It’s a real shame. This app used to be one of my favorites, but now I have to let it go. I’ve given the game two stars because as far as I know none of the actual game mechanics have been changed or broken.

Developers I’ve seen you’re releasing a bunch of your games on Xbox soon but I didn’t see this one, I would honestly pay $20 just to have this on Xbox or maybe the switch, I love this game and I personally don’t think this one gets the spotlight it needs like your other ones do

Great game except battle
The game is awesome by the battles are really infuriating. For instance if you have a beast in the support wagon and your 3 get knocked out you lose also if you could heal and attack in the same turn that would make the game perfect.
Decent game, but terrible balancing and combat
This game is really poorly balanced to the point of frustration. For example: - when in combat, you can only use one item per turn and if you do use one, your monsters can't attack for that turn. When fighting three on three this makes the battle stupidly difficult especially if more than one of your monsters is injured. Even Pokemon and final fantasy (a properly balanced game might I add) allows you to use more than one item per turn in a three-on-three match (i.e. if you use one item, two of our pokemon can still attack, if you use two items, one of your pkmn can still attack, etc). - when in combat, if you switch in another monster, you loose your entire turn. Same point with pokemon as above. - when in combat, if you revive a fainted ally (and lose your turn in doing so) for some stupid reason, your opponent can target it to attack during the same turn, meaning you bring it back and it immediately faints again. - when in combat, opponents are not properly balanced. I was stuck in a three-on-three boss battle, against monsters that were the /same/ level as mine, and yet I was unable to beat them over and over again because they were able to use all the different elements in their special attacks, constantly using super effective special attacks that hurt 3 monsters over and over as if they had an infinite mana pool, and completely trounced me. Even after levelling up way past them I still really struggled to take them out. Either change the display of the level requirement to the unexplored area or nerf the strength of the monsters. Ffs. This is not how you design a combat system. So very lazily done. In addition to this: - you are not properly told how to get better items in the store. I was stuck using sweet herbs and meagre baits for most of the game. It was not a very enjoyable experience at all. - you are constantly stuck with really rubbishy monsters that only have one or two equipment slots. When there are so many item out there that require two slots, this seems rather counter-intuitive. At least give us a way to enable monsters to get more slots or something. - I've been stuck with only one camping area for tourists for most of the game. There doesn't seem to be any indication on how to get more. - for some reason, tourists can come to your island BEFORE you can get dirt paths. This very notion is ridiculous and results in you having to demolish everything to make room because you are given no indication that you need paths at the start of the game. And some slightly nit-picky points: - This game is not properly optimised for iOS. There is tons of unfilled screen space on my ipad. Come on now! - for some reason the art devs thought it a good idea to blur the sprites when really zoomed in (for example on the exploration bar at the bottom of the screen). This looks pretty awful. It would be much better if you just kept it without any anti-aliasing. All in all this game has been very disappointing. Possibly the worst game Kairosoft have come out with.
Feeling slightly cheated
I love kairosoft games, they are really addictive little timekillers. Having said that, this one is a little insulting. The adverts make playing the game very difficult, especially when you are used to the usual layout of these games. I can't count how many times I've accidentally pressed an ad button just to be ejected from the game at high speed, then dumped on an irrelevant product page. To ask for the cost of the app to be paid via an ad removal scheme is insulting. You get paid to host the adverts, probably get paid for every accidental click and then get paid when we want them removed. Being a bit greedy, no?

This is one of the greatest games of all time. I see that you finessed arcade and gave them the oldest game.. but if you can get another check please drop this or Grand Prix.. it would make more people buy the other games…. 💞💞

Like the game but hate the combat system
Best part of this game is the building since you guys finally added some basic things like rearrange, recycle, and bridges. I hate the combat though, its not the repetitive part. Its kinda like pokemon but parts are not done properly. For example, Guard should always be first regardless of lvl or speed or anything, it should always be first. it's pointless if my monster guards at the end, waste of an action and time. Love the island building system but hate the poor combat system.
Offline playable YAS!
Happy day! Plays offline all I wanted! Will be upgrading to the 5$ iAP when I can afford it! Tank you very much! Also please do the same with Dream house days, bon bon cakery & kingdom tales! I played the older version that ran offline for a long time, this game is addicting as the rest, going out finding monsters, battling monsters, clearing areas, finding new areas to sail to & discovering & opening them fully, on top of making a decent tourist spot with your island to make money, it's a juggle but a very fun one at that. It's slow at first but keep at it it gets better & honestly not pushy on iAP at all.

Amazing game!!!
It's almost the perfect game. You get to explore, tame beasts and thrive on a deserted island. The only thing that could improve it would be if the monsters could evolve. But apart from that I love it . Especially how you can research to get new items. It's also amazing how many monsters there are since it takes up little memory.

Not up to usual kairosoft standards
I usually love kairosoft's games - I have them all and continually replay them - but this was a huge disappoint. After such a long wait, I was expecting a great new game but this felt like a rip off; charging for items necessary to even play the game is just ridiculous! The game itself is half decent but if I were you I'd get a different kairosoft game instead.
Great game. Needs sequel
This is like Pokémon + city building. Pretty fun. Main complaint is that some aspects of the game aren’t explained very well. Would like to see a sequel (or for kingdom adventurer!)
Please fix!
The previous update deleted my save and this one didnt do anything for it... I lost so many hours.... Please fix this so it doesn't happen again... My allies were around 70 and i had unlocked all islands... If you cant fix it then make sure it doesnt occur again... This is so depressing...

I would really like if you could transfer your data to another device, beacause I have 2 so I would like to transfer the data to my iPad but as I see that's (maybe?) not possible. (Yet?) if myou could please add this to the game and you have my thanks if you do. Oh and 5 stars.
Super Disappointed
Edit: I played again, and the game is actually fun. However, I am still super disappointed that after paying $5 for the game (which I have no problem paying), that they still expect you to have to buy medals to upgrade things in the game. Yes, you do get periodic medals, but I am still so sad that this great game maker looks like they may go towards the IAP way. I hope this is just a glitch in the road. But if Kairosoft wants my support in the $$ way, I hope that they revert back to the way their games were before this one. Original: Well, I was super excited to see that Kairosoft had released a game. Then I saw that there were in app purchases. I got concerned. Then I saw the IAP was just to get rid of the ads. Fine. no biggie. Maybe they just rather have it start off as free, and then once you get past year one, like all the others, you pay for the free game. WRONG! Thanks, Kairosoft, for crossing over into the Cheap, crappy versions of IAP driven games. Here you go, pay to remove the ads, and then pay for medals to get stuff done in the game. How disappointing. I am super sad that such a great game industry has gone into the way of IAP driven games. Ya, so what if its free. You can still only play for so long before you run out of food....or wood. Its not like the other games were you had to use some strategy and stuff. This just seems like all the other farmville type games out there. Oh, and for the other games, from the moment I downloaded it, I could not put it down. This one, I have barely touched, and I will be darned if I am paying anything to aid in the game. I would much rather pay money for a full working version, rather than pay money, and then more money to have to progress in the game. Kairosoft...I loved every single one of your other games, but after this poor release, I don't think I will be excited anymore. You are going to lose a lot of fans. Oh well. Money talks I guess.
Good but badly needs an update
This game unfortunately gets kind of old pretty quick, I really don't like having to constantly swap out the pets I've been training the whole game for the pets that are already stronger as soon as they're caught at level 1. It really needs evolutions, or some kind of reward for your efforts. The island building aspect is surprisingly deep, but when compared to the horribly put together pet raising/training it really leaves you wanting more

I prefer the previous payment system
I have been collecting all Kairosoft games so far, but having a full version with ads free is not the best experience as the previous payment system. As for the game, this is one of the best so far.

Lets get to the point. They have discovered in app purchases....... And done it badly. £3 to remove the adds then they have the cheek to ask to pay for medals too..... And silly prices at that really disappointed that they have come down this path I enjoyed all there other games. A real shame. And don't say you don't agree..... Well those of you who are REAL gamers
