DO NOT USE THIS APP
As others have said, your data will very likely get randomly deleted. As did mine. Quite literally, this app can’t do it’s one job: keeping track of your hours. One day I just opened the app like normal, and it was stuck at a log-in screen and would repeatedly say “something went wrong” upon trying to log-in. After updating the app, everything was gone. Which is obviously not acceptable for an app that is supposed to track of when and how much you’re paid. If you need to keep track of your time, writing it down in the notes app would be better than using this. I really wish this review was an exaggeration, but it’s not. Please do not waste time and possibly risk losing hundreds of dollars over a dysfunctional app like this. The little convenience it occasionally provides is not worth it.
Good app.
This works nicely for tracking hours. But when the update came in, it logged me out and then when I tried logging back in, it lost my log in info and I had to create a new account. I lost all my previous pay info.
Impossible to reset password
I purchased the premium version of Hours Keeper and after updating I was forced to login again. My password was not accepted and the reset process did not work. Worst of all, the email address for support is an valid. As a result I can no longer use the app and lost critical data.
Not doing the job
Lately it’s not remembering that i clocked in and or out. Kinda defeats the purpose.

Nice when it works, frustrating when it locks up and loses all your data.
I’ve used it for probably 5-6 years, and now twice within the last year it has locked up stuck on the loading screen and lost all data, like others have stated, uninstalling and reinstalling does not help.
First time keeper
Works pretty well it would be nice to track added merchandise without doing invoices. Pay period would be nice for two or three weeks also. Still learning about everything it can do.

Logged me out and deleted all hours. - Premium subscription
I purchased the premium subscription and have been using it for 6 months. Just booted me out today and can get back any of my saved hours for 3 different clients!!! Reading other reviews someone had this same issue. So much for bug fixing. I recommend finding a more reliable app.
Pretty good but lacks functions I’d love plus bug
As the title suggests I do like it. It lacks the ability to automatically subtract things like taxes or union dues from your earnings which makes it a little inconvenient when I get paid and go to cross reference what enters my bank account and what’s on the app. I’ve encountered an inconvenience bug as well. If I start a shift while in an overtime window, it just says I’ve earned $0 during my shift which is pretty annoying while I’m trying to check how much money I’m making.

I love this app and pay for it but recently it freezes and glitches out so much for the last month

Just lost years of punches
Omg, several years of important punches just went missing. Emailed support and not getting any response. This is a nightmare

Easy to use, and has good functionality, a lot more than I would use though. But of all time tracking apps I checked, this one appears to be the most straight forward one.
Invoice malfunction
Every once in a while the app will glitch out and all your past invoices that have been paid will reverse. It is a frustrating process to go back and redo all of them.
The app is glitchy now
I’ve had this app for 8 years, however few weeks ago it started acting up. You click to start timers and it isn’t responding correctly. I’ve tried to delete the app and download again both times it didn’t make a difference. Please fix it!

Lost data - doesn’t email invoices
I’ve used this app for years to manage my private lesson invoices. It was never the fanciest app, and it could be a little clunky at times, but it was reliable, easy to use, and the reporting features worked well. I hadn’t used it for a few months, and whatever update happened (or whoever took it over) has made it virtually unusable. All of my previous client information is gone. I tried recreating my clients and sending new invoices, only to discover that the emails never actually send. The app acts like they’ve been sent, but nothing is delivered and there are no error messages or notifications. I’m incredibly disappointed. Before these changes, I would have happily given this app 4 stars. Now, with basic functionality no longer working, it’s unfortunately become completely useless. .

Allows tracking with variable rates and lots of customization. Easy to use and generates a nice finished product as an invoice
Started to bug out after years of working fine
The app last week logged me out and then when I logged back in, the app is showing invoices that were already paid as being unpaid and also invoices that were created and are pending are not showing up, really frustrating and disappointing

Getting Worse
I have used this app for several years. The developer is focused more on advertising than core app functionality. The user experience has severely degraded over the years and is becoming more hassle than it’s worth. For example it takes several attempts to do a simple “Clock in at” because the save button doesn’t function for some reason. I can no longer recommend this app and will be looking for an alternative.

Never had a problem till their latest update July 2026. (Updates are automatic) I can no longer get into the app. I’ve tried everything and now i have lost All my data including my Un billed hours for this month. They are based in China and reading online ppl who have tried contacting them NEVER got a response.

Beware: clients no longer alphabetize
UPDATE: The developer has stooped responding to my emails. My clients are now all out of alphabetical order and the app is super difficult to use because of this. ORIGINAL: I use this app for tracking all of my time with clients. It makes it super easy to keep track of my billing based on worked hours. The invoicing function could use some dressing up, but is fully functional and I depend on it. In as much, it has been very dependable and their syncing across devices has been flawless. I highly recommend this app for anyone that needs to keep track of hours and invoicing of clients.
Good but GDPR Problem with deactivating app
Although the app worked fine. Now that it’s not useful for me and I wanted to Deactivate the account, it is a problem. When I request it. I received this reply. As GDPR Laws go this isn’t great. I think the app designers need to revise this and have option to delete data from their servers. “Hi Sir / Madam， Thank you for your feedback. We can't close the account, if you don't want to use this program, you can erase the data, we will not reveal any of your privacy. Best Regards， Polycents Support Team”
Love this app
Perfect for my work as a consultant. I’m able to keep track of my hours down to the minute and provide invoices it also tracks my pay periods.
Slowest app on earth
Contacted multiple times and I’ve used this app for 10 years. All of a sudden about a year ago it takes 30-60 seconds to load or respond to anything you touch. Luckily I haven’t needed this app as much but now it’s useless
Great App for logging hours
Have been using this app in the film industry for years and it’s great! Only 4 stars because I couldn’t export the data from the old app to the new and it would be great if the “paid” stamp showed in the main Pay Period section as well. Otherwise 👍🏻
Frustrating to load multiple days in one session
When trying to enter a string of days and hours the clock in works good but for some reason when you try to enter the clock out date and time the save function doesn’t work so you must start over and sometimes several attempts before it allows you to save. Makes using this app very frustrating. I usually go in and add a whole month’s worth of time in one session and it gets so frustrating that I want to throw the phone across the room.
Love this app but we’ve lost the total hours in pay period
This app is awesome but we’ve lost the view of count of total hours in pay period view? This is how I monitor hours worked per week. How can I see this please - easy quick view...I can see $$ but not hours
Best time tracker ever
This app is so easy to use to keep track of your hours for work. I use it for my husband and myself so easy to use.
Not working after recent update
App is not working after last update. I now have a new phone and it still doesn’t work. No support whatsoever.
Invoices
Really good app, Would give 5*s if I could email multiple invoices at a time. Bit of a pain sending one invoice at a time
Clunky
After many years of using this app and loving it, the latest update is slow and clunky lots of lag having to open and close the app to get it to respond or essentially just having to leave my phone open till it caught up I have tried restarting my phone closing all other apps. Nothing helps. Please fix your new update.

Functional but predatory billing
I found it to be pretty basic, somewhat convenient. However, after not using the app for over 2yrs and my credit card being expired, I had thought the billing would end. A recent app purchase though triggered a backlog of my subscription fees, without any warning or approval to renew. So, no—I will not be using this again, or any subscription based app that doesn’t confirm or notify me.
Great App But Has Major Bug
I really like this neat app as it provides a simple but effective way of managing my hours in a job that constantly changes. However, recently it has started crashing when you tap 'Settings' - this is obviously a major issue that needs to be promptly fixed. When it does I plan on buying the premium version and hopefully rate higher.
