Crashes, don’t waste money
Got the demo (free version), seemed great but couldn’t adjust some settings without first buying full version, paid, and it crashed at 1min 3sec into video, and can not get it to work again, lowered settings, altered other settings trying to make it less required and even reset phone… good thing I don’t need it for insurance proof, it was a waste of money
The app is great, but why can't I record from both cameras?
I have tried multiple recording apps, and this is the most reliable I've found. However, it's missing one function that seems really basic, and that's the ability to select which camera to use. Every other similar app like this lets me select front or back camera, but this only uses back camera. There are other applications where loop recording is very helpful, and it's a pain to record when you can't easily see the frame of what's being recorded. For example, I draw, and I like to record progress videos of my work as I draw. It would be very helpful if I could use the front camera, set it on the tripod, and then sit down and see what's being filmed. Is there any chance this could be added? It seems like such a predictable feature that I keep looking for it in hopes I'm just missing it... but... have never found it. haha.
Needs an update, quick!
I’ve used this app in the past and have had no issues. Now, more often than not when I open the app I just have a grey screen and more or less have to keep opening the app until it finally works. Using the app on an iPhone 15 PM running iOS 17.6.1. The app has been uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times.
Meh
Works well but stops recording when you switch to other apps. And found fee apps with similar and better functionality
Super happy
I’ve been super happy with this app. My only complaint is perhaps a misunderstanding about when videos are overwritten. It’s not kept until space runs out. You need to go to the settings to choose how many videos are maintained in temporary before they are deleted. I wish I had known that and that the default was five. Recently had a video the police wanted and it was deleted with no way to retrieve that I can find.

Great Ap, Needs Update
When I first got this app, I was really impressed. I have used it on a daily basis on my commute. With the recent Ios update, everytime I close out the app, it doesn’t keep my settings saved. I have to redo all my settings every time I open the app before I can start driving... please fix!
STILL UPSIDE-DOWN
My phone is mounted in an enclosure. When your app is turned on, its upside down. I have to either remove the phone and wiggle it around until it rights itself or go in and out of settings, which will trigger the screen to self correct. This is a new problem that was not there before your recent changes. otherwise, its a great app! UPDATE: as of April 6, 2023 it’s still upside down.
On cloudy day
Noticed the app doesn’t record too well on cloudy or gloomy days. It goes in to excessive brightness then to excessive dark mode back and forth constantly and makes it really difficult to watch video. The developer needs to update software to compensate for low light mode, especially for early morning or for low light/fog areas.
I enjoy the peace of mind using this application.
I like to use this application to record my driving. I go to Mexico often and the speed limits are very low and like speed traps. With the features in this application I have all the details should I be unjustly pulled over. A great application, how about Siri Integration to let me speak commands to start recording. Thank you
Audio lags behind video
The audio lags behind the video by at least two seconds. This is very annoying and has been going on some time, but it seems that the developer has not updated the app in nearly a year. Also, I wish it had a few additional features: -4K at 60 fps. Currently you must choose 1080p at 60 fps, or if you want 4K it maxes out at 30 fps -I wish we were able to add a line of custom text that would appear at the top, just like the date/time, speed, etc.
Music and other apps
I have had several of the free dash cam apps. Thought I would purchase one. This is great app except I can’t run other audible apps in the background. All other apps I could activate the dash cam and then minimize, open a music app and get it operating, minimize the music app and go back to the dash cam. The dash cam would record and I could listen to music at the same time. Same goes with Maps. I would like to hear directions while the dash app is running. I have the audio record off so I’m a bit lost here.
App needs update bad
I used to like this app but as others have also mentioned it no longer saves settings. Each time I have to set up metric vs English and the segment lengths etc. it’s a pain and I won’t be using this until they fixe it. I’ve used the customer support and have emailed multiple times but have gotten zero response.
Record Button an Issue
Works fine but it is difficult to determine if the record button has been pressed or not. It sort of “pulses” but it is difficult to determine if it is on or off.
Using it for years
Best thing since sliced bread. Never quits. Always works. Put a cop in his place by a threat to show the judge five minutes of wasting his time because I wasn’t guilty of the infraction. I have one in the front and one in the back. I would like to see it 4K and be able to record more. I would pay again for the app over again for that.
Will not run in background
Who, in 2024, sells an app that won’t run in the background? …. these guys! If you open any other app, Google maps, Waze, a music player, anything, this Dashcam stops recording. Ridiculous.
I like it
So far so good. A suggestion, I can easily open the app with siri. Can you make the phrase "Open the car camera and begin recording" function? A setting option to begin recording when the app opens would probably do the trick. This would make the app more hands free friendly.
I thought it was working but did not deliver
The app appeared to be working. It showed video, the REC button was on, but no video recorded Does not work well with other programs. It stops Spotify when it starts recording.
Needs cloud exporting options.
The app already has the option to use cell data, it would be nice to optionally have the application send the recording "chunks" to Dropbox or other cloud services in parallel to recording using mobile data therefore customers may not worry about the application stopping due to local storage limitations. Therefore the app can be used all day long for drivers. Application pretty much works as described in landscape mode only due to design.
Additions
Will this record with screen off? Can you create a “save location” so we can have it go to an external device we may have connected to our phones? Maybe add “double tap screen to save an incident” where the video won’t be deleted in loop if it was major enough for a stop but you want to keep for records later. Haven’t tested this yet but it did it with my camera in general: can we listen to music via Bluetooth if it’s recording or will it cancel the audio play for the video. Overall looks great! Just tryna figure out why this cost money and the others did not.

Wish List
I am very pleased with the app. Here is my wish list: 1) Toggle audio record, i don't want to record my personal conversations, but at some point i may want to narrate or if stoped for traffic violation or accident I would want audio on. You currently would need to stop recording and go into configuration. 2) Toggle camera (front back) same reasons listed above. 3) Be able to select color of driving stats for me the white gets lost. 4) Make it more obvious that it is recording. The change in red it not very noticeable. I rely on the 3 dots on the right as an indicator. Sometimes i think it is recording and it's not. ~ jeff

For the most part the app works well. I would like to see a letter color option on the app when recording. Letter meaning the time, speed, direction, etc. I personally would prefer the lettering to be red

Very good.
Glitchy and freezes
Paid $12.88 and am truly disappointed. The recording function is inconsistent, the screen typically freezes after a few minutes / seconds and doesn’t respond to app buttons. The recorded video’s aren't always reviewable, and those that I can review, typically freeze mid way through.
Love this app
This app is easy too use. Only thing I would change is that in includes a map feature or still records in the background so you can is your phone as a Satnav at the same time. Also could do image/video stabilisation.
Frustrating
The app is very good however I can’t understand why it doesn’t keep recording for a length of time. In settings the video length maximum is 30 minutes but video length is only a few minutes with longest recording being 12 minutes. Why is this???

I used to like this app until it stopped recording. Ran it on a trip recently and when I went to look at the videos there wasn’t anything there. I agree with one of the other reviews that the last update was bogus and killed it. I’ve contacted the developer but so far no response. I’ll give them a little more time and then I’ll delete it and try one of the other apps. Update: IT WORKS! I should have done this sooner but if you’re having an issue with this app, just delete it and then reinstall it. Worked for me.
Doesn’t work on my iPhone
Red light flashes, but nothing is recorded. “Videos” is always empty and tells me I’ve recorded no videos. Reinstalled at least twice. No change.
Perfect use for old phone
Love it. I repurposed my old iPhone 5s for this and use it in my truck and on my motorcycle. Image stabilization would be helpful on the bike though. The vibration is noticeable on playback regardless of settings.
Not as good as hoped for
I run this application and iPhone 7 Plus. I have tons of extra memory space. Unfortunately even though I have selected to not allow this to use my microphone it still does not allow me to listen to audio through Pandora, my music selection or whatever.

... Lots of potential, but you can't listen to music or take calls through Bluetooth or the recording stops! Needs fixing so that you can multitask, or run app in background!

You must have the app open to record. That’s pointless, can’t drive with music, or do ride share driving. Wish I had my 3$ back. Don’t waste your money there is free ones that will record and let music play etc.

Amazing App When it Works
I truly love this app, I can set whatever resolution I please, and I love the loop recording and time options. There is one thing wrong however. There are times where this app works flawlessly, and then there are times where it stops recording under a minute into my drive. I got home today to realize that only 56 seconds of my drive home was recorded. The app had frozen while I was driving. My storage wasn't full and I had no other apps open, so I'm not sure why this keeps happening. My phone was not frozen as it was perfectly responsive, but the app itself was not. If this is fixed, I will up my rating to 5 stars and update the review.
Battery life
This is excellent but it flattens battery in no time at all so unless your driving for 10 minutes you can't cover the whole journey.
No longer works after update
After the most recent update, will no longer record and keep files, even temporarily. I have resorted to using the camera app.
Freezing up.
Seems like an OK product when it works. Continuous freezing of the screen about a half hour after use. I’m hoping to get a refund.
Good but could be better !
Nice app, does the job BUT! could be improved, annoying grey bar along bottom off screen while recording needs removed, start stop recording button made more intuitive ie if it changed colour when recording, what does focus lock actually do ? A PCs interface to save and work with video files would be handy
Won't record while using sat nab
Was great until I updated iOS , now won't record while using co pilot sat nav while driving .
A good start, needs improving
This is a decent enough app for the price. I like the overlays and the wide angle view. However it needs to be apply to be rotated as in my set up the image is in effect upside down with the record control and text upside down at the top of the screen. The app also needs to take advantage of the multi-task capability by running in background whilst I have sat-nav running. I'd definitely use it more, no crashes to report.

No Video
Doesn’t save video recordings on iPhone X. I performed a clean install (deleted/redownloaded) and checked privacy settings to “allow” not sure what happened.
Just what I was looking for
Records... With voice, loops too, adds a few bits of information in to the video which could be pretty handy. Over all, great value for money app. I would like to see a little tweak here and there though. The option of having landscape or portrait recording, a mini map with current location marker and a line showing the route taken would be a great idea. I've seen this on another app, looks great with a transparency map, but the app didn't record which was why I paid for this one.
Good start but needs work
On the face of it this has potential to be a good app however having tried it ive found a major floor that could cost u an important recording. When start the recording unless u stay in the app it'll stop,, this wouldn't be an issue but if u get a call on hands free the min you take the call the recording stops. What happens if you are in a accident during ur call? Your better off with a dedicated unit untill they fix this
