The latest update
We all like the last update not the one we have currently . We liked to see the tornado track without adding layers ! Also future radar and 24 hr radar have different predictions in forecast . The old storm tracker before this update was better than this one ! Speaking for everyone also. Thanks
Best weather app I’ve seen.
I’ve tried several apps. This is the best I’ve seen. Well organized.
Spam Included
Opened Fox5 weather app and advertisement said I had virus after visiting porn site. I have never been on a porn site. Very poor attempt to try and purchase a cleaner when all I need is to check the weather. Also, it says 0 percent chance rain but click on that day and it said 90 percent early evening. If I look at a particular day I expect to see info related to the whole 24 hour day, not just daylight time.
Bug
This app has a bug when you choose hourly and daily. A random pop up wants me to select something.
Radar Play function locked in “Future”
Recently the Radar Play function, which had the options of Past, Past/Future, and Future, became locked in “Future,” which is grayed out, meaning Users can no longer alter this function. This effectively makes the Radar screen unusable for me. Given that I live in the American South, and that yet another hurricane is imminent, promising still MORE flooding, if you want me to use your app, see your ads, etc., I urge you to correct this bug immediately. Until then, I’ll be using Brand X (an Atlanta-based competitor). Thanks in advance, RL, 10/1/24. EDITED TO ADD: Guys, I found where I had locked Radar to Future Only in Settings, and fixed. (It hadn’t occurred to me that I COULD.) So, errythang cool—never mind!
Not a reliable App for your Weather source!
This app is unreliable at Best! Takes 15 minutes to even load basic current weather conditions! Do yourselves a favor and download “The Weather Cannel App” and cut out the middle man (fox5).
Your Weather Radar
Why is it your weather app radar never agrees with what your fox5 tv weather is showing ?
Please fix
I have used this app for years with no issues. Recently it will not track my location and does not announce severe weather warnings. I have never changed anything in the settings. What happened?
Amazing radar accuracy
Best app if you want to know when exactly it’ll rain with the radar that can predict four hours u to the future.
Good for Add
If you like ads this is the app for you, if you want weather look elsewhere.
Getting worse
Since the last major update, this app thinks it knows better than I, what view I want to see. It automatically switches to daily view. If I want a daily view I will choose it myself. I don’t want an app the dictates which view I see. Looking for an alternative to Fox5 weather as they can’t seem to figure this out
Bad update
Just did the 11/24 update. It made the app worse. Not sure what bug fixes you meant but please correct the app from switching screens when scrolling. I scroll to see the hourly on the home screen and it switches over to the hourly screen. I didn’t want it to do that. I scroll down, and when the screen stops it automatically jumps to a different screen. Sometimes it’s the hourly and sometimes it’s daily. Those options weren’t selected.
Best weather app
This is probably the second most used app for me after Google Maps. I wish the features of this app could be made available inside Google Maps.
Radar prediction is way too fast and shorter. The hourly is not functioning
The radar prediction is way too fast and the hourly outlook has only worked once since I updated.
Terrible update
I have been using this app for some time and have been very pleased until one of the more recent updates. The app now is to touchy where you can’t scroll through the hour by hour feature without it opening up that section that you didn’t want to open. Please go back to old settings.
Hourly weather
The radar is pretty good, but the hourly is hardly ever correct. It changes every 30 minutes to to every hour. So if you have any outdoor plans, make sure to check the hourly weather every 30 minutes to an hour, because it will change. I’ve only found the hour weather to be correct once.
Love this weather app
I love this weather app. The extended forecast, radar, and percentage of rain in forecast help me plan my day and week. I went Europe in May and I knew exactly what to wear. I packed the correct clothes for the weather!!!!
Terrible
This app is terrible and inaccurate. The radar is never accurate.
Radar Inaccurate
Over the last few months the radar on this app has become incredibly inaccurate. I used to depend on this for my weather, but cannot any longer. The radar will show fully clear and it be pouring rain in my area, and other maps are correct.
No notifications
I liked it but now I get no notifications at all
Fox 5 Atlanta
Fox 5 is the only news and weatherman I will watch. They are great!
Forecast slow to update
Their tv forecast often calls for rain and severe storms and the mobile app does not reflect it. Except the mobile app does send a severe storm notification but the forecast calls for good weather.
Can’t turn off overlays
I’ve used this app for many years and been very happy. Recently, the overlay functions have been increased. My main purposes is to look at rain radar, but can’t view it because of all the overlays blocking the view. I Researched how to turn off the overlays but instruction don’t appear to work. I deleted the app and loaded another channels app.
Hate the color overlays
Need an option to opt out of all the color overlays. Not even explained anywhere… Switching back to the weather channel app
Great Whether App
I like this app I like whether apps and this is the best app I have ever seen you can take a picture to see what whether it is and share to fox 5 people!!
Useless - More ads than weather info
What a terrible app. Why can’t it just have weather information. You don’t need ads. The app is sluggish to load weather data, but not slow to show you window blinds ads. Ever time you refresh the app…window blinds. I’m deleting.
Radar crashing
Images of storms crashing after having app open for a minute. Constantly losing app and restarting it. Plz address this! Never had this issue.
Problems not being fixed
I love the all mostly…I can no longer add locations for weather updates when I try to the app closes and doesn’t add the new location. When I try to get to app support it sends me to a site that just has a blank page with and error code. This has been weeks like this and no fixes and no way to contact support.
Recent Update Broke App
I have a paid weather app that I loved until I found the local fox5 app to be more accurate with an easier to use interface, and was using this app almost exclusively, even when traveling (works great even in other cities and countries). However a recent update made the app unusable, where you cannot scroll or touch the app anywhere without it immediately selecting as if you tapped rather than scrolling. Went from one of the cleanest and simple to use app to an absolute headache to open for even the simplest check of current weather. Hope they roll back the most recent changes and fix the bug that was introduced!
Fix it
Billion dollar corporation can’t make an app that doesn’t crash half of the time, and doesn’t load the weather map the other half of the time.
Used to be great
I use this app religiously to watch radar and weather for managing my horses and weather to keep them inside or turn them out or to track incoming foul weather. Over the past 6+ months or so the app crashes every time I try to add a new city. I periodically add and remove places according to where I’m traveling and the app crashes every time. I have to add the new place at least 5 or more times before it will show up in the app.
App is broken!!
I can’t scroll thru the Hourly mini-menu on the Home tab without it glitching out and straight-up taking me to the Hourly tab!
No longer works with iPad
Thanks Fox 5. Guess I have to move on to another Weather app because Fox 5 no longer works on my iPad. Shame that weather app does not support older iPads and no going to buy another one just to get the weather. Will stop watching Fox 5 too. Goodbye.
Weather app yes
I liked Fox during very severe weather over quite a few years. But recently I sought a Fox Weather app for Atlanta, only found the Fox News app and thought this was the only access. For reasons not pertinent to weather, this was a deal breaker. A friend showed me the separate app, so here I am. I like it. Focuses on local, easy to navigate, so far continues to be accurate and although drama and hooks are not absent, you’ve kept it pretty darn clean. NOAA is my gold standard but since they “improved” their app, it’s not as helpful as it used to be. Please continue to stick to the weather and don’t let anything else smear into your part of the network.
Don’t make plans
The radar on this app never coincides with what’s actually happening….as I’m writing it’s showing I’m in the clear of incoming storms for hours but it’s literally thunder-storming outside. It does this all the time, I can not depend on this app at all. Love the channel meteorologists but this app is useless if you depend on radar.
Where’s the radar??
Since the last update, I now have a map with so many alert overlays that I can’t even see the radar! Hard freeze alerts, wind advisories, gale warnings, frost warnings, red flag fire advisories —- the map is a checkerboard of so many shapes and colors that the radar is completely obliterated, making it useless! There’s no way to turn off all the overlays — I never even turned them on; they just showed up one day, and I hate it! Ready to dump this one and find another local app that’s not such a mess....
