Every time I switch to the app (like from just using it seconds before) it crashes/reboots. Unusable. 8/8/2026
Good app
I love the app however the radar is never accurate to what they show on the news and so for that it doesn’t work all that well

The update to the app makes it less user friendly and not as clear or easy to understand. I wish they would bring back the previous version.
Weather Alert Notifications
Being able to check on the weather when I want to & see the predicted weather is helpful. What isn’t helpful is hearing the loud weather alert notifications at all hours of the day—that I already turned off. The settings are useless. I may just delete the app.

Way too late!!!
Just like ABC33/40 weather app. My neighbors house got struck by lightning during a heavy storm and there were no alerts of lightning til over an hour after their house got hit. WES WYATT GET IT TOGETHER MAN!!!! YALL GONNA GET PEOPLE KILLED!!!!!
Radar
This was previously my go-to app for all things weather given the accuracy and detail of the radar. But, after the latest update, the radar map is subpar, the controls are confusing, and its accuracy is not dependable.

I am tired , once again, of this app waking me up to tell me that there is a weather update in the app. Geesh, wake me up if a F5 tornado is barreling down on me but I have looked everywhere in the app to find where to turn that annoying announcement off. Can’t find, so I deleted the app this morning.

Update: The radar is freezing and not showing the 24 hr forecast!! The app has not shown the news on time all week, why? Every since they have changed this app there have been troubles with normal news feeds showing. Hope they fix it cause it was a great local news app.

Pay walls and Ads
WBRC used to provide minimal ads and paywalls, but now the Birmingham area could be overrun by terrirists while being blown away by a tornado during a minus 100 degree weather system before you can get to the news and weather. I’m done!

Your accuracy on radar is not very good. You show rain when sun is out and sunny or cloudy during a storm. I try to use it for planning, but I don’t rely on it.

Comment Keeps Getting Deleted
Very strange how my comment about how “Window Worlds” spam ads keeps getting deleted. God forbid there was a weather emergency and I needed to watch the latest video to get life saving information…BUT WAIT!!! You gotta watch this minute long ad of Window World first. Window world, window world, and more window world. Is Window World’s business hurting that bad financially to spam and cram so many ads into an app that’s based on weather awareness? What if someone lost their life from bad weather because they had to wait for an ad by, wait for it…WINDOW WORLD. They spend more time making commercials than putting up windows it seems… (I’ll keep this comment copied and pasted, so next time it’s deleted, it’s right back on here.)
Full forecast
I do not live in the area so watching the live newscast is not an option. It seems there should be an updated full forecast video after each newscast and uploaded in a timely manner.

Does nothing but crash as soon as I open it. Over and over and over. Don’t even want to give it one star. Pure trash.

Since my app updated it keeps saying I’m not in area for the app. It’ll show I’m in Australia when I’m in Birmingham?

Not trusted
The station openly supports BLM as shown by their social media posts celebrating BLM Month. An unbiased organization would not do such things, I have deleted the news app and weather app due to this.
Way too many ads
Hate that they make you watch commercials every time you click on a forecast alert. Sometimes the ads are 45+seconds. This was not the case a few years ago when I first started using their app. I find myself more and more moving to the WVTM app which does not seem to deploy the same tactic for ads. Love WBRC newscast just not their weather app. Do better WBRC!

Garbage
For someone that works outside all day everyday. That looked to this app consistently for a month. The forecast IS wrong every single time. Its not accurate. Its a different forecast every 15-20minutes. I dont even understand why it lets you see the “future” forecast of what’s supposed to come if it changes.
Local weather add machine
This app for one is way too busy for two slow to navigate but third and worst off filled with so many ads. The app is literally unusable. You wait through one or two ads just to click on what you want then a few seconds of Weather than another ad to navigate to another section it’s just ridiculous, it makes it way faster to look up the less accurate national weather, which is a shame when the station pay so much for local radar that makes it accessible for 100 window world ads
