Incredible app and awesome customer service! Looking forward to be able to one of those iPads that you guys have. Thank you for this affordable app I am really glad that I can have a whole library full of books at the palm of my hand anywhere I am at.
Can’t Log On
The app is very clunky and won’t let even me log in so that I can access the digital library that I paid a lot of money for. Keeps saying password is wrong, even though that password works for the Artscroll website. Needs to be fixed ASAP please.
Great content, very slow app.
I have this app on iPad and it’s really slow and takes a while to load anything. The android version is much faster. Needs a major update.

This app is the perfect reading companion. Feels like yeshiva in an app. Seamless scrolling and reading with automatic footnotes ! Perfect
Functionality of app isn’t great
Aside the fact that the customer service team is not responsive, the app functionality is unorganized for the reader. I use the iPhone app because there’s no PC app option at the moment, which isn’t satisfying or useful to all users. The iPhone app crams everything up to a single screen that’s confusing to use, and just a single tap through scrolling can make you lose your spot where you’re reading from or unnecessarily highlight a whole portion of it. Sometimes you press on a link directed to read from another source and there’s no back option available to return to what you’re originally reading. Terrible app functionality and aside for poor customer service, you need to address this issue where users can access their digital library on PCs without requiring some program that interferes with the full functionality of the PC itself. That’s not right. Fix these issues.
Please update 2 things
Great app and use it daily. 2 updates I think are needed. On every screen there are 4 different ways to get to settings (not sure why) the one on main page blocks the text when in full screen. Maybe move this up to the title bar to it doesn’t block the text. Please update the app for the Dynamic Island to display the top portion of the screen properly
Great up until the latest update
I use the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch in the app, and when I go to scroll one part whether it be the English or Hebrew it scrolls all three. What ends up happening is the sub notes are not at the correct place
Good content, poor functionality
The amount of material available is staggering. The subscription which gives access to the entire ArtScroll digital catalog is worth it if you actually use the materials regularly. I use this on an iPad. The app itself is slow, crashes frequently, and it is VERY easy to accidentally click the wrong thing and spend the next 1-2 minutes trying to get back to where you were. The popout links are very useful for studying intertextuality. If the app weren’t so slow and the UI were improved to avoid misclicks, it would be an easy 5 stars. As it stands, though, it has some major issues that need to be addressed.

1. With the most recent features (I have this for 5 years before the subscription package). I can at times get lost via Hyperlinks (my own fault). But if a footnote can pop up that convenient screen use, if it’s another sugya and I can see the footnotes I can read them. If it references another masechta I don’t have to exit to bring it up or at times faster getting my hard copy. 2. Outside of Birchas Hamazon, certain brachos, and Kryas Shma Al Hamita a siddur is pointless and feels wrong. I feel the calendar, tefilin mirror, Av Harachamin, Mishebeirach are not used by 99%. Personally davening should be done zoomed in on a Sidur or eyes closed Baal peh. 3. I strongly recommend a tech consultation from Amazon Kindle skilled programmers. A. On a 9-10’ screen 25% font changes are very large jumps. They should be between 5%-10% increments. The app should be available on laptops and desktops as well. B. The free mishnayos without the meforshim and the Shas don’t know the purpose. C. Switching Sefarim…when you want to simply switch getting to one’s library it is overly time consuming and has nothing to do with download speed. D. Less frequent updates and when updated that should become the definitive app edition. If space is required and I want to remove a book to cloud storage (a) incredibly time consuming don’t know why. (b) If I add it back all updates from whichever basic edition was initially installed are re-installed. After 5 years that’s five years of updates. E. I’m also fine with musar sefarim. Significant issues A. I see coming soon Chumash Rashi! I feel Torah shebechtav on the tablet is not necessary at all, and that includes all in depth Rishonim on Chumash or Nach. Outside a Tanach source…the only series addition you may want to Add is Yerushalmi, or the Yad Avrahom Mishnayos. B. The Weekday Sidur…is truely pointless. But there are definitely excessive features. I don’t need a menu for siddur settings, with zmanim, a compass, and tefillin mirror. There are way too many settings options…one for the Sidur, one for the Chumash- it was when the Chumash was added that I realized this is not a good idea…I believe it’s the Stone with whichever meforshim the user wants displayed and wear. Definitely excessive and impacts over all performance of the app. C. Advise consult with similar App Developers like Kindle which though there are no updates is 2022 speed, while navigating from Sefer to sefer, removing and adding in ArtScroll is like a landline telephone connection in 1999.
Needs major overhaul.
Content is great but needs major change. It’s very slow and glitchy. Looks and feels 10 years old. Artscroll support answered me months later, and their response had nothing to do with my problem. Artscroll pls invest more resources. Especially if we spend over 1k for this content.
Great, but is not easy to use
The app has good content, I like the Rashi. Howver, it is not convenient. When I go to the TOC and use the links, it crashes and says it’s unable to show. Any downloaded content should be easy to go across by TOC. The Rashi TOC is not well designed, it doesn’t have Parashas based references similar to the Sapirstein edition books

Cannot remove accidental highlights!
App support has already been contacted and didn’t respond back to me. There is no way to remove accidentally highlighted anything in the ipad app. The highlights remain permanent. It doesn’t take much for accidental highlights to happen. PLEASE FIX THIS ALREADY
Great Start
It’s an awesome app that is nice to carry around my library anywhere I go. However, I’d like to see more in the digital library. Like the sets of writings, prophets, and Chumash. I would also like an easier and faster interface that would also work with the Apple Pencil and write notes. I feel they definitely need to higher new designers for the app. It’s nice and convenient, but it’s hard to navigate easily and feel that it needs to be brought up to today’s standards.
The standard in Talmud and Siddur English translation, however the app needs work.
I use this app on a daily basis for the Siddur and Talmud. The Talmud is expensive but essential. Much credit to ArtScroll for publishing their electronic version of the Talmud, I just hope they continue to develop this application to make it perform much better!.... And publish more of their books!! Also note this app does not allow you to copy and paste text, say for example you wanted to paste an excerpt into a word processor or email. Also the app is extremely slow and unstable in performance on an iPhone 6 so beware of running on anything less…
Only show in town - you are stuck
Having exclusive rights to digital material from ArtScroll/Mesorah publications seems to include not fixing bugs. Hey why bother when you can’t go anywhere else for the same copyright material. The developers have gotten lazy.
Love on iPad would be great to have Mac app.
It is great to have the Artscroll library on my iPad. It would be great to have a Mac app to be able to study using my 27-inch monitors for easier reading and research.

Horrible
I’m really sorry, but this is just a garbage application designed with 75 year old boomers in mind given the large block interface. But it’s impossible for me to understand how they would weave their way around this ungodly maze of clutter with controls worse and less intuitive than windows 95. Everything takes a year to load, there is barely a way to log in and when you finally do there’s no way to log out. It’s 2025 people, get with the program and design something useable and user friendly my dudes.
Monthly subscription should be changed to one time purchase option.
Great app but I’d like to purchase instead of monthly subscription ... please add that option for all volumes bundle price and individual sets. Thank you in advance!
Needs a lot of work
This app isn’t very user friendly. It randomly switches from Hebrew to English, then the bar to change the language will disappear. When you click page numbers it just says ‘page 0’ multiple times, so you have to manually count down to try and get the right page. It’s difficult to get to tfillah like asher yatzer and elokai as when you press next in morning blessings it will just skip ahead to the next section. The highlighting function is also too sensitive. When trying to scroll up and down or change pages it highlights constantly. It’s a convenient app, but doesn’t work well most of the time.
Great App, please add hyperlinks to every reference
Please add hyperlinks to as many of the references as you can in the Hebrew and English parts, including the notes. I love the ability to click on the references in the notes. Please add hyperlinks to all references to other commentators in the notes to Chumash, Rashi, Tosfos, Mishna Berurah, Rishonim, Achronim, etc.. This will make your product unique and a must-have product. Thanks for helping us all take our learning to the next level. Also, as someone whose spent approximately $1,500 to buy the paper copy of the ArtScroll Shas and Mishna, it’s hard to justify spending more money on the electronic version. Is there a way I can show you that I own the paper copy and you can give me access to the electronic version of what I already purchased. Thanks in advance for saying yes.
Bogged down/Slow
This app would be a great resource but the ui is clunky and even running with the latest processor it looses frames just from scrolling and it late to respond and freezes a lot! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REVAMP THIS APP!!!! I would love for this to be my go to app instead of Sefaria but I can’t rely on this app to always work in most cases it clunky and slow and outdated please make it more slimline and minimalistic I have been waiting over 5 years for you all to revamp this app and still nothing! Great design but could be faster
This is the best siddur app I've used and I'm glad I "splurged" to buy it to replace my free ones, but it takes a long time to load every time I open it and the scrolling is very choppy, making a bit challenging to follow when I'm reading longer sections. Anything to speed it up would be appreciated (iPhone 6 user).
Great idea many issues existing for way too long
This is a wonderful app. However it has many issues the developers simply won't fix. When downloading volumes you get an odd error with a series of letters. Wren queried they blamed Apple. No, this is ridiculous. Every other app fixes their bugs to work with Apple's system. Then they never update the base files with updates. So if you have to download again for whatever reason you get the base files from years ago and thousands and thousands of updates that have to run. Much better would be to update the base files every couple of years to avoid the hours it takes to download again. Finally the most recent version puts the dedication line at the top of each page and even worse it changes up and back which is very distracting when learning.
Great app, needs improvement
I love the app, I hope more Hebrew volumes are released soon, but the hyperlinks that suggest to buy other volumes and safarim really disturb the learning, you should replace it with pop up boxes, and maybe in the box add a link to purchase, otherwise it feels like you are targeting me with ads while learning with a paid version.
doesn't load, gets stuck
The Android version of this app works fine. The iPhone and iPad version didn't work for me. After I bought the full Talmud, it got stuck downloading and would not open any content.

I love this app but it definitely needs to be kept up-to-date and more optimized. App can use a lot of work, but can be a great resource! Also the prices of everything gets ridiculously expensive really quickly. Should be a system where if you have the actual book there is a code or reduced price for the digital version. I hope developers read this and get more funding to make this app 5 stars!!

Control of pages
I like the app. I have difficulty controlling/scrolling through the Siddur moving the pages with my finger is "choppy". Thanx.
Packed with features, but cumbersome
Artscroll puts out a great product in book form. I own many siddurim, chumashim, and in print he maras, and I am more than happy with these. I write this review as a fan of Artscroll. This app feels like an "everything but the kitchen sink approach. Each Sefer has too many options with a complex interface, making using it a chore. The interface should hide in the background, but it feels like an ever-present irritation. This is most noticeable in the new siddur. With the siddur, there are several delays. First you have to open the Artscroll app, then you have to go to the library to open up the siddur. Then there is an unnecessary lag when changing between sections of davening. You have to wait for Phuket decimal to load after finishing karbonnos. These issues don't occur with the rusty brick siddur which feels more streamlined. If only rusty brick could use the same font and layout as Artscroll. The print is still beautiful. I would love to see the Artscroll siddur as a separate app altogether from the Talmud app. Iwould also like to see the full Artscroll siddur I the app. It is advertised as a full siddur but only contains the weekday davening. There is value in having the Shannon's prayers available as a reference. It would be nice to practice chazzanus from my iPad on the weekdays. There has got to be a ay to shut the app down on Shabbos and Yom Tov, anyway. In any case, I am still a subscriber to the Artscroll Talmud app, because I know these problems will be fixed with time. The Artscroll Talmud itself is still a wonderful product.
Excellent app
This app is excellent when purchasing the shas to your library. It’s amazing to have all of shas including a robust search engine at your finger tips! The pages are crisp and clear and the format is simple to use and very accessible. I highly recommend!

A very good start
A very good start. The app has had some minor bugs starting out and the developer has worked quickly to release updates to fix the issues. I really enjoy learning with the app over the printed ArtScroll gemoras. The only issue is obviously shabbos and yom tov. It would be excellent if you could download and print out the dafim that correspond to shabbos and yom tov.
Where's the sample?
App seems to crash pretty frequently. The free sample doesn't contain any pages of gemara. Just the approbations and acknowledgements. Not what I'd call a sample!
