What a wonderful resource, and so thoughtfully designed! I’d love to see an Apple Shortcuts action for invoking a search inside Sefaria so I can integrate it with other search functions on my device.
Problem
Following latest update, app no longer working. I’ve offloaded and reinstalled it twice, to no avail. Hope you release corrected update soon thank you
Review
Used to have access to dictionaries and the like while in offline mode. Now I do not, in spite of having them all downloaded. Otherwise, great app!
Has gotten buggy
Lately every time I try and open the app it gives me an error message. Used to be a useful resource, now, not so much…

Outstanding resource!!
This app amazes me the more I use it. I’m a “gentile Christian” or follower of Yeshua but I use this since the texts and rabbis and sages are incredibly important and valuable—and this app has everything. Even with my background and going in blind, it has great resources included that help you understand how to read and learn from the texts as well as give amazing biographies on who has written. It’s incredibly organized, easily searchable, and I feel like again; I find something new or different about it whether the ability to make changes in fonts and written language between English, Hebrew, or both together—it’s great, and then easy verse by verse parallels to various texts and authors when to tap to select the verse. Incredible app, incredible resource, and I can’t believed it’s offered for free! Amazing work Sefaria, thank you!
I can't find my source sheets or anything anymore
I've been using the app for years, and now it's telling me to find Voices to find the source sheets, but there's no voices in the app so now what
Best option for finding specific texts
I love this app more than any other app that’s like it - nearly everything you need just a search away. I do however have one request, and that is a dark mode for night time/dim lighting reading because otherwise the app can be unwieldy to read even with the screen dimmed. Dark mode, please!

Gets stuck, when opening a book instead going from paragraph to a new it keeps repeating again and again
Great when it works
A wealth of Jewish knowledge at your fingertips… at least when the app loads properly *and* whatever text you wish to read loads as well. Bugs abound. No highlighting option, only ‘sheets’ that force you to interact with the ‘community’ even if you just want to study and be left alone. No real bookmarking option either. Best to take screenshots and use other apps to arrange the data.

rashi on proverbs 8 crashes the phone. it says the internet connection is bad and that you need to restart the app and delete it and redownload i’ve done that multiple times but it’s the same consistent issue

Colored Highlighters Please
I enjoy using this app but I wish there was an option to highlight verses and passages with different colored highlighters. I see other Bible apps with this option, it would be great if highlighters were a feature on this app too.

Ive been lost for a long time. Long. My best friend finally got to me and told me to start reading. It has been the best life change I have ever had. Talked with many rabbi with many changes to my life. This has been a great way to read and study at work. Sh’me Israel.

Offline access updates need work
Great overall tho updating offline access is buggy with downloads just getting stuck/hanging sometimes have to retry a few times

I love the app so much, but lately I haven’t even been able to open it — I get an error message saying the app encountered a problem and then it crashes. I wish they would fix it because it’s a wonderful app!

Sheets are crashing the app now
Great app, I love it. BUT recently sheets stopped working in app for me. Every time I search something and click on “Sheets” to see sheets about the topic I get an error. I tried deleting and redownloading the app, but it still crashes. I hope you can work out this kink soon. Otherwise, I love the app.

Great app but sometimes gets stuck starting
I love your app and service but for the past few months my app gets stuck after the splash screen. On iPhone 12 mini. Uninstalling and erasing app data helped. There was no message why it is stuck. Just the spinning busy/wait icon. 😬 Glad I fixed it.

Great but with bugs
Good app, but a message showing dowload errors appears constantly, and it’s not able to download all the content.
Translation Disappear
Sometimes you get the translations, sometimes you don't! And there's no way to do anything when it decides not to show the English translation, the app becomes useless. I've downloaded the whole library and it doesn't change anything.

My Sefaria App Hasn’t Worked In A Month
My Sefaria app hasn’t worked in about a month and it’s making me very unhappy. This is one of my main sources of Torah when on the go and it hasn’t been working in a long while. It just shows the blue Sefaria opening screen and never anything else. It’s been stuck like that for a while now and I really need it to come back as I am chronically ill and mentally ill and Torah is one of the only thing that helps. Of course I have a paper version (JPS Tanakh) but I admittedly don’t bring it everywhere with me so I would be extremely grateful if this could be resolved. I have updated it countless times, restarted my phone, pretty much everything. Please help.
Very good app, just need something
Don’t get me wrong this is a good app, it is helping me start my conversion and helping me get started on living a life of reading the Torah, and knowing all the daily prayers in the siddur, I wish though that there was transliterated words for everything as I am interested in it, I just don’t know how to read Hebrew yet. So if maybe those can be added in, it will help not only me but those to come looking for ways to immerse yourself in the religious aspect of Judaism.

I'm glad to see it doesn't use sacred namer terms for the name of Adonai. Beautiful layout that's clear and easy to navigate. My only problem with it though is that it has loading issues on my iPad air2 running ios10.

Inaccurate Translations and information added
Avoid the use of this app as it adds inaccuracies to the translation of the texts and misconstrues certain concepts to advance their own agendas
Wonderful app with one complaint
I don’t want to sound ungrateful, because I am grateful for the wonderful app; but could you please add English translation to the entirety of texts outside the Tanakh. It’s really disappointing when you read the first few chapters only to discover that the rest of a text isn’t translated. I wish my Hebrew were better, and I’m working on it, but I don’t think I’ll be able to read Hebrew that well anytime soon… Et me know if I’m wrong and need to reinstall the app.
