Where to shut captions off
The app is great but having a hard time finding where I shut the captions off so I can see especially see the weather and the temperature info with out words covering it
Cluttered
Extremely hard to navigate upgrading made it worse
Am news on TV not the same... you need to rethink your choice of an anchor!
Hello
Not Breaking News
The only notification I have selected is for Breaking News. However, most of the notifications I receive should not be considered “breaking news”…such as the temperature outside or news from yesterday. Please limit breaking news notifications to important things that are just coming into the news room and the public may want to know about right away. All the other stuff should be “trending news”.
Ads
Can get rid of the Ads it’s annoying, please.
10 day seems to be missing thats how i plan for my weekend.
Need a 24 hr forecast and a 10 day they seem to be teplaced by only a few days and a shorter daily window.
Disappointed
I am not a fan of the new version of the app. Ads keep popping up. I can’t get rid of the notifications pop up on the app even though I deleted the app and then redownloaded and took off receiving notifications. Very frustrating.
Really needs work
For a cord-cutter like me, the app is fine in and of itself. However, you get maybe a minute of news and then repetitious commercials on loop for a several minutes (on multiple occasions the same commercials ran on loop 7 times over before any kind of news came back up) making it not worth it trying to use this for getting anything worthwhile as far as news coverage. Then, there’s the freezing when it would go to commercial break. The only way out of it is to back out and go back into the newscast. Quite honestly if it weren’t for Amanda Callahan, I’d have deleted this from my phone and AppleTV.
Critter corner
Trying to find Critter Corner for 4/5/24 and all it brought me to was submitting pictures. I couldn’t get to the news until 11:10 and surprise Friday Night Frenzy was already on. I don’t have young children anymore so I changed the channel because I know I missed Critter Corner. I would have loved to have found the pictures on the app
Love it
i love this app and it’s very useful to keep track of local news and things happening around here and COVID cases. i like how there are notifications for the articles cause it’s very helpful and nice:)
Don’t like
Hopefully you’ll work out the bugs but it’s laggy, and more importantly the new ad screen is exceptionally annoying because you can’t close it. Also, it’s so similar to 22 news app now. Right now, not a fan of the new version.
WTH happened??…
Getting an alert about a missing person, and opening it to then be forced to watch an ad for a GAME APP?? Wtf… Be better than this. Also stop with the alerts for Football games happening later, and tv shows airing tonight — that’s not urgent. Please.
App
App keeps loading and never opens for me. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times in the past week and issue has not resolved
So much better than 22 News app!
I really only use the app to keep up with local weather here in Western Mass and for the past 4-5 years I only knew about the 22 news which is terrible if you want to be informed about the weather! Every weather report is short, minimal information and choppy overall. I’m so happy I found this app because I can watch the weather every 2-3 days and be prepared for what’s coming. Every weather report is clear and very detailed, which ai absolutely love! Plus covers a few days in advanced which helps for when I don’t have time to check the weather.
New internet application
I am in the business of creating apps for a living. Your new app is totally a mess! Extremely difficult to navigate for the average individual. In the media business I know that you can do better job. You certainly would better off going back to your old app !!!
News people
What happened to Amanda and now Chris
Only Vertical Display
I am not a fan of the update. I use this app on my IPad and it no longer rotates to the horizontal layout. I thought over time that I would get used to it but nope it disappoints me every time.
Always on top of local news
The 3 channels working together is bright spot when reporting local news
The ads
The ads on the app are super annoying
Confused
Trying to enter todays word PIVOT but can’t find how to do it
Notifications don’t stay
The app works well for sending out notifications but if you don’t tap the notification right away, it doesn’t save to the Notification Center. Please fix this. There are articles you notify us on I’d like to see but can’t find them when I search and can’t always read it when the notification pops up on screen.
Vanessa F.
I love that Brittany is back and the atmosphere is back with the original crew but what happened to Jordan miss her I watch you guys every morning and you guys help my day go better.
Good app, until…
Until you (recently) added that horrendous, long and loud opening “ad” that you can’t back out of. Because of it, I just deleted your app. Too bad. It used to be good.
Blows up your phone with weather notifications
The app is otherwise pretty good, but when bad weather comes, it sends out many MANY notifications about the storm. One notification would be great, but blowing up your phone with them is a little ridiculous.
Best news source in western Massachusetts
Western Mass news is the best go to source for up to date accurate and breaking news. Entire staff is fun and uplifting such a refreshing way to start and end your day
F for effort
Too many ads that make noise even if my phone is on silent. Click bait notifications that only bring you to an outdated list of articles on the app-nothing about the notification just sent to my phone. Following on social media brings articles from everywhere BUT Western Mass. With 3 big names on the app (ABC, CBS AND Fox) maybe one of them would care how bad it is.
Grocery win
Trying to win the 250 dollars of big y groceries but don’t understand the rules. I signed in once is that enough. Does it have to be done daily. I will sign in daily if that’s the rule or am I disqualify myself by doing that
Awasome app of Massachusetts
Thanks for great job working live and all kinds of news to remember the hometown I enjoy in Florida keep up all good work.
Opinion
Disgraceful column about the election and remarks if Trump takes back the White House. Such a left sided article
Great app!
Consistent news with great people. If I see news from somewhere else, I check Western Mass News for validation😁
Political advertising
Very intense one-sided conspiracy theory based political advertising! One recent “breaking news” notification was just a link to political ads …. No news content whatsoever. Deleting the app now. No journalistic value.
News app
It is very informative, but I would love to see more detailed weather forecast.
update is terrible
The interface is horrible to navigate on ios and apple tv. The previous newscast is never updated. I don’t want to watch some generic new channel. How do you update an App and make it worse?
