What people like
- Very effective for learning geography quickly
- Clean interface with no annoying ads
- Lots of interesting facts about each place
- Flexible quiz styles suit different learning needs
What they complain about
- Subscription model frustrates many users
- Free version has very limited content
- Quiz algorithm repeats easy countries too much
- Some country names and borders are wrong
I learned my countries!
Thoughtful, well made app. I love the ability to change quiz style. I love knowing more about the world.
Full-screen bright color = immediate uninstall
When you answer a question, instead of a small ✅ or ❌ icon, it flashes your entire screen with a solid green or red color. Extremely irritating, and there’s no way to disable it. It’s unfortunate since the app is cool otherwise, but this is horrible UX.
Not enough randomness
Great overall UI/UX, I payed for the premium service to access more of the app, However when adding majority of the countries in the quiz the algorithm is not random enough to expose countries that haven’t ever been in the quiz. You should have the choice to deselect the most repetitive countries from pick the flag, where is this country questions such as Russia, China, US, UK, Aus etc which are obvious. I find more than 50% of the daily quiz are countries I always get right and that there is not enough variation to learn more of the lesser known countries.
Schlecht
IlIlIl
Free Palastine
Frechheit. Aber ansonsten gut.
Best app I’ve purchased in a bit
I absolutely love this app, one of the only apps where I’ve seriously considered doing in app purchases. It’s very well done and put together.
Broken.
I keep trying to purchase the annual subscription, but it just won’t work. It keeps telling me to enter my Apple password in settings, and when I do, the purchase process just stops. Total garbage.
Mental Morning Pushups!
Love this app. I’ve got others, but this one is the best for learning the flags. One critique: there should be a way to either create a custom quiz or there should be an algorithm that identifies frequently missed items and isolate those for further studying.
Thank you.
This worth everything and more.
Merci
Ca pue sa mère
Fun and good learning tool
Multiplayer needs improving to allow for longer games than just 15 questions
Kostenpflichtig
Payment
The app is great for learning everything about geography however you can basically play every single quiz there is within 10 minutes. If you want to do more you have to pay. But besides that you can individually search for every country and read facts about them.
Best Geography App Out There
Great feature set, lets me learn how I want to, and actually works. Happy to pay the incredibly low price of $10.99/yr for full access. Hopefully they can offer parity between devices someday but honestly it’s not truly required to get what you need out of the app. The practice method seamlessly gears you up for the test. I just play the game and at the end I happen to know geography.
£9.99 paywall is ridiculous
Fun game for about 2 minutes until you’re hit with a £9.99 yearly subscription to continue 😂 instantly deleted
Great app
Great way to learn your countries. The price is a bit steep but you honest learn a lot.
You will own nothing and be happy.
An amazing totally awesome great app
You will recognize every country
£10 a year
At £10 a year, you’re having a laugh. The app should be 99p!
Fantastic So Far!
I love this app and I was more than happy to pay for the premium version of it. However, my only qualm is that it really could use more updates. Flags and capitols are cool to know… but I was really wanting this app to mainly learn the states/provinces of countries like Mexico, Japan, Romania, etc. If I saw more development in that, I’d be happy to give 5 stars. For now, I think 4 is appropriate.
25 Countries
25 countries: that’s all you get to learn without paying a yearly fee. I’d rather the app get its revenue from ads, which I’d willingly sit through for the rest of what this app offers. As you learn the location of each country (all 25 you get for free), the app also instructs us on that country’s capital city, population, flag, and general info. The yearly fee isn’t unreasonable, but if every penny counts and you want to want to improve your geographical knowledge for enlightenment or fun, this app isn’t for you.
Good- but…
I pay for the yearly subscription because I like its little nice touches but it really has to get rid of the automatic page at the end of every quiz where it asks for a review and whether you want to turn on reminders, it really disrupts your flow. People just want to carry on with their gaming, not be interrupted by something like that every single time
Great app
It not only plays well, but is very informative. I find myself reading through new country bios every time I play. Great app, 10/10
Geotrainer
Payed for all the quizzes and got nothing.
Limited access
The free stuff is fantastic but very limited. I’d be more likely to pay for the rest of the app if it were a one-time purchase rather than a subscription. Alternatively I’d be happy to watch ads to gain access to the rest.
Mehr free to Play
Very educational
Great app for learning world geography.
Rubbish Game
Has to make you pay to unlock more than 5 minutes of gameplay
Good
Good of you are wanting to learn. Good adjustment features so can learn in stages. Very good
Would be good without subscription
The game is good alone but after you do it once you know every country because it’s the same ones for all 3 of the allowed quizzes and there is only 3 options
Educational fun!
Really enjoy this geography app over several others i have tried! This app is very user friendly. Love the interesting facts and the daily quiz. There is plenty to learn, and i look forward to more being added. Maybe some major landmarks or rivers and mountain ranges? Also can there be a separate quiz/quizes for territories?
Keeps reading my answers wrong
Constantly thinking I selected something else.
Best Geography game I ever used
To be honest with you, I thought this would be a bad geography game. But then I started playing and it honestly shocked me! From the multiplayer option to even learning about the states or cities of countries! It really helped me with my geography, now I know the states of the Netherlands and Germany, the cities of Austria and I feel confident with learning countries and other stuff! The premium is definitely worth it, only 9.99 a year for all the options! But I would like a few more options, like learning about mountains and rivers (e.g Mount Everest, which country it is in and how high it is and e.g Riger Ganges and where it flows, etc). If you love geography, I’d advise you to play this game/app. Bye!
Rare correcties
Sudan
Not actual , e.g. Sudan - South Sudan
Perfect geography quizzing
I was looking for an app with a specific set of features: nice UI; quiz multiple ways (multiple choice, or where is X country, etc); no ads. This app has all that and more. Well done!
RIIPPPP OFFFFFF
I thought at first this was going to be fun, but then I learnt that i had to pay for the rest of them.
Epic app
Wish there were more quizzes though
Too expensive
For $8, I would have expected that there at least be different functions of the quiz. There’s only a 4-choice multiple guess function, so I can pretty much deduce what the answer is. Perhaps if the developers made a function where I could type the answer without being given hints, then $8 would be worth the money. Because of this it’s not the type of app that I could use for many years to come, it’s more of a one timer thing. I’d be happy to purchase if this was improved upon, because I think the app is great :)
This is very useful
I can learn so much better and faster
You really have to pay
Expensive for an app. You only get a really small amount free
Very good
Very good at learning capitals. But it is missing some Pacific island and Caribbean countries. Needs to get these included to make it a complete geography trainer experience
