A favorable (but unwelcome??) review!
I like the app very much. German has been a special interest for me since I was in college but I‘m still learning. I can read novels with little need to look up words to follow the storyline but eagerly look up every word I‘m not sure about. The program makes it easy to improve my Wortschatz! The “submit” button is unresponsive!!!

Und das ohne Änderung am System von einem Tag auf den anderen. Neustart iPad erfolglos. ist hier ja schon mehrfach bemängelt worden.
Insgesamt sehr gut mit kleinen Mangel
+ die Übersetzung sind sehr gut, es werden alle Alternativen angezeigt + es können mehrere Vokabellisten angelegt werden + der Vokabeltrainer ist einer der besten innerhalb von Wörterbüchern, den ich bisher genutzt habe, man kann in Etappen, bzw. Boxen Wörter abfragen und nach Wunsch neu mischen. Ausserdem kann man die Anzahl der Wörter genau bestimmen / aufteilen, die abgefragt werden. + die Sprachausgabe ist sehr flüssig und verständlich - großes Minus ist, dass keine Beispiel-Sätze angezeigt werden! Vokabeln sollten immer auch im Kontext angezeigt werden. Wirklich schade, da das Wörterbuch / die App ansonsten klasse umgesetzt ist. So muss man aber immer noch zuweilen eine zweite App parallel nutzen
Fehlende Übersetzungssprache
Leider fehlt die Übersetzung von Deutsch zu Ukrainisch und von Ukrainisch zu Deutsch
Fehler seit update
Hallo Seit einem der letsten updates hat dieses App ein mühsamer Fehler. Wen ich ein Wirt übersetze...das App schliesse(im hintergrung noch offen)...und ich öffne das app wieder, liest es mir das noch geöffnete wort vor(als würdest du die „sprachausgabe“ anwählen) ohne das zu wollen. Das kann ziemlich mühsam sein jenachdem wo du dich befindest. (Z.b in einer besprechung). Besten Dank
most comprehensive
I have been using this dictionary (German-English) for several years now. I’ve found that it’s the best one out there for unusual words, technical and scientific terms, old fashioned words, etc that many other dictionaries do not cover. Been using the paid version for quite a while now because I like the offline functionality. It is the one I recommend to other peope who use German for work or speak it as a second language.
Not working anymore!
I've the latest version of the paid dict.cc+ app and it's not working anymore since 1 or 2 month. If I open the app, I just see a gray screen and nothing else is loading.
Schöne App
Fünf Sterne gäbe es wenn man folgendes Verbessern würde: - Ich vermisse ein paar Sprachen wie Arabisch, Friesisch, und Japanisch. - Dass man nicht mehrere Sprachpakete zum gleichzeitigen Download anwählen kann ist etwas umständlich, jedoch ist der Download schnell erledigt. Ansonsten gefällt mir die App sehr gut. Übrigens, zur Sprachausgabe einfach auf die Übersetzung tippen, 'retranslate' auswählen, und dann auf das Lautsprecher-Symbol tippen.

Englisch ist der Wortschatz bescheiden.
Ok, but doesn't replace website
Interface: 5/5 Content: 5/5 Two stars off for the following reasons: 1. Integration with your dict.cc account is kind of hidden, and only allows for uploading/downloading entire lists. I would prefer a more seamless experience. 2. Poor search functionality. Searching is strictly literal. For example, "suchen nach" doesn't find "nach etw. suchen". The website has much more powerful search capabilities, including (minimal) support for regular expressions (* and ?). 3. No indication of noun/verb inflections (as there is on the website)
PhD
I began a lifelong study of German in 1962 and have used every brand of dictionary, but, obviously, nothing ever approached DICT in ease or thoroughness. I have the full off-line dictionary and am always amazed at how easily I can find a definition and can cross reference words to get at the shades of meanings of words. I have used DICT for years now and greatly appreciate how it has continued to develop.

Very slow with on my ipad air 2 after ios 9 update, the app has no support at all and is not regularly update and no new features are being added
Dict.cc+ - truly excellent, but...
On first acquaintance this is everything a dictionary app for iPad should be. So far I've not managed to fault this at all - and consider the price to be absolutely minimal if it means freedom from advertisements and ability to use it off-line. Paul is to be congratulated on a superb achievement. However, it took several attempts to upload the whole vocabulary to my new iPad Pro and I agree that noun plurals should be there. I haven't managed so far to use it in split-screen mode with anything from iBooks or Kindle: now that would be a real time-saver! Perhaps soon?
App gekauft / nur Abstütze
Ich habe mir die Pro Version gekauft, da ich mit der Kostenlosen Version zu Frieden war. Aber diese Version funktioniert bei mir nicht. So bald ich die App öffne stürzt diese ab.... Sie hatte nicht EINMAL funktioniert. Es gibt den 2 Stern weil ich mit der Kostenlosen Version zufrieden war. Schade ....

I have found the app really useful in German classes. When I come across new words that I think I should know I add them to my vocabulary list and use the vocabulary trainer feature when I get time. For me the only significant issue is that the vocabulary trainer doesn’t show the gender of nouns in the solution. Another minor issue is that translation lists can be slow to scroll, but generally I don’t need to scroll.

Wichtige Wörter fehlen teilweise, keine Konjunktionen... Zum Vokalbeltrainer: Stürzt oft ab (Liste ist leer oder kann nicht gewählt werden), Folgende Funktionen währen hilfreich: Sortier-/Mischfunktion, Überspringen, mehrere Listen. Insgesamt verbesserungsfähig! Lange nicht so gut wie die Webseite!

I've seen many Ger-Eng dictionaries and this one beats them all. Native pronounces, many collocations and idioms, responsive developer, many word lists which can be uploaded from dict.cc to your iOS app, and many good features undiscovered for me still after using it daily. However, recently I can’t open it! It just shows a blank screen. The problem happened after I searched c/o in this app!!
No plural forms next to keyword
Serious omission: no plural forms next to entry word, so if you look up German Mann, this dictionary does not tell you that the plural is Männer. Such an omission would be shocking in even a small dictionary.
The best online German-English dictionary, but...
The alphabetical list that comes up when you enter the first letters of a word doesn't distinguish between simple forms and compound forms/expressions but gives every single entry in the lexicon that matches ref search, many of which are obscure and/or technical. So, for instance, I looked up "unterbreiten" and typed "unterbre" hoping I could just select it from the list (since I use the app on my phone and like to type as little as possible). Of the 50 entries that came up the first 49 were various forms of "unterbrechen," including "Unterbrechungsanalyseroutine"! The LEO German dictionary app seems to have an algorithm that selects the primary forms of a word for the autofill list. It would be great if dict.cc could work the same way.

I’ve been using dict.cc for years and I continue to appreciate this wonderful resource - it has been on my home screen the entire time. The vocabulary trainer feature for me has been really awesome, especially the stacks with spaced repetition.

I love this app! But...
I love this app! But it's not really worth the money over the free version. I was disappointed that the other language dictionaries are not really anything. They have few entries and no audio. I didn't test this out in the free version and I should have. The main (and, for all useful purposes, only) languages are English-German. Since I'm learning German right now, that's fine, but I was disappointed that this app won't help me at all when it's time to learn Slovak. I was hoping the vocabulary learning and quiz games would be more advanced and customizable but they aren't. I can't really say there's any real reason to purchase this app apart from ad removal and supporting the developer.

Now that they have added inflections, it is even more useful! I am a 4th year college German student and i have it open whenever I am reading or writing in German . Just wish I could download it my brain.

Great application for translation between German and English. The phrases available are extremely useful. I would like to see a feature where I could click on a word and see the plural form though. I would also like to see other dictionaries expanded so that I can use this for all my translating needs.

downloading vocabulary fails repeatedly
Downloading vocabulary leads to crash at 100%. When I try again to use the app, it asks me again to download the vocabulary. This does not happen with the free version, only the paid version.

Has words my other German dictionaries don't - especially slang. Would be nice if you added Slovene to your database - that would get you five stars.

If you want access to the widest range of English-German translations, this has got to be your go-to app! It's crowd-based, thus constantly updated and its number of entries grows every day. I love the ease of use and use this applications pretty much daily. The new "inflections" section is awesome. Thanks to the developers!
Am not able to download any vocab
Every time I try to download vocab from dict.cc, it crashes once it reaches 100%. Please fix this error soon.
A great help
This app is a great help for surviving in Germany :) It is pretty fast and the DB has a lot of words. But is a bit overpriced. It has been very helpful in my German classes, as it is faster than a paper dictionary.
