“Speak” function fixed
I am changing my rating to 5 stars. The developer fixed the speak function allowing me to hear words pronounced. Thank you!! I’ve used the app for a few or more years. Not quite sure how long but It’s been a while. I’ve always found it very useful. I had a way of hearing the word pronounced in Spanish—until now. When I tap “speak” now, the app completely crashes. I tried the one for French-which I also have-& same result-the app crashed. I would have given it a 5-star rating before today. Today, it dropped to 2 stars.

Malo pero con ganas antes tenía otro diccionario que lamentablemente ya no está disponible porque tenía muchos ejemplos y muchas traducciones de cada palabra así como sinónimos etc todo lo contrario que este
Extremely useful in Mexico
While all the slang and not so nice, but useful, 4 letter words are not there, this is a very solid translation app. Me la gusta.
The Bilingual free version is better. I wasted my money.
Disappointing expenditure for an interpreter. Doesn’t include phrases. Ultralingua Bilingual free version does have some phrase usage, and Ultralingua Collins Spn-En is better, and is purchasable. I wish I could dump this and spend differently.

User friendly
I’ve used a variety of Spanish English dictionaries. This is by far the best. It not only does single words but phrases and conjugations. Well worth the money

No translation. Just a dictionary.
Great translation app
Love this app! It's very useful when it comes to needing translations. It's particularly useful when looking up colloquial terms, which makes it incredibly valuable when reading books in Spanish.
Hasn't been updated in over a year
Great dictionary but needs to keep up with technology changes.
Not sure if it was worth it....
I bought this app for twenty dollars, which is expensive if the app is not worth it. Since I bought it, it has not been updated and I would like new features, like maybe you could say the word and it looks it up. Also there are a lot of slang words missing that I wish was there and also some expressions with multiple words in English that are not there or are hard to find if it isn't typed the exact same way. Overall it is useful but not as useful as j would wish and sometimes I have to go to google translate for a lot of information.

I love this helpful ap. The verb conjugations are great ways to remember some tricky irregular forms. The favorites gesture dodo lets you make a list of words you might see sometimes but can’t quite retain. Same applies to their French and Italian apps, by the way...
I got charged for reloading apps
I'm out $40!! I had the Spanish-English and French-English dictionaries installed on my iPhone and iPads for a few years and used them often. And as you said, it stopped working after a recent update. So I deleted it (they were both in the same app) and went back in to reinstall both. It didn't say anything about getting them free because I had previously bought both, nor did it ask the confirmation question “Do you mean to buy this dictionary?” So since it didn't ask the confirmation to buy question, I figured it was reinstalling free. Nope. Just got the receipt for both. I WANT MY $40 REFUND, please.
Útil, práctico y confiable
Llevo varios meses usando el diccionario y ya no me quedo con la duda si escribí algo bien o mal, dondequiera que esté. Muy fácil de usar. Lo consulto casi a diario, para Inglés y Español, lo recomiendo.
Expensive Dictionary
I think that they should add sentences for the words cause this dictionary just has words its to expensive for only the definition. I suggest that they fix it.

We got this app over all others because we didn't have to be online to use it. Now it appears we have to be online. So much for a good app.

Great app..worth the money!
I've been using this app for months now and it has replaced my hard copy span/eng dictionary. I use this app daily. The history feature makes it much more useful than a traditional dictionary since I don't have to re-look up a word if I forget it. I agree with Mr.bear18777, there needs to be a link between definitions and verb conjugations, why do I have to exit and retype the verb to see the definition? Fix that and I'll give it 5 stars.

This is a good app if you already know how to pronounce words in Spanish. I do not so I have to flip back and forth between this app and one that tells me hoe to pronounce the words. Fix that up and I would give it 5-5. But Til then

New version crashes even before it opens!
This is (was) the greatest app ever for Spanish dictionary. But with this new version you can' teen open it! Please fix this bug which does not allow the program to even open!!
Good dictionary
Dictionary is very good and i think worth the price; its helping me a lot here in argentina. However, Developer, please update the app and include one touch definition from the verb conjugation feature. Why cant we click on the infinitive of the verb for definition when using the verb conjugator? We need to re-type the word in the definition search, this can be time consuming and is not intuitive! Otherwise keep up the good work
Good Dictionary, Bad App
This was the first app I ever bought (2008). It's been very helpful in my travels when I didn't have access to the internet. Unfortunately, there's a bug in the program that only shows up after continued use. The only way to solve it is to uninstall and reinstall the app. If I leave the app open and then turn the phone off, it crashes when I turn the phone on again. If I jump to another program and then back to this app, it starts the app anew. The history function stops working and the app always opens at a word I was searching for weeks ago. My other problem with this app is that you can only copy one word at a time which is absolutely useless.

Its good but does not has audio which very important With such price and no audio its unacceptable
Spanish dictionary
Fantastic dictionary. It even explains the what and why of certain words. Very helpful.
I tried the new users interface GUI - no thanks
BRING BACK OLD INTERFACE - as option perhaps. OR FIVE NE MY MONEY BACK!! The old design had its flaws (too thick, more taps necessary) but it was efficient. Now u have to scroll kilometres and miles of text to get to what I need and it's not good on eye too.
Little expensive but for me worth it
I love this app. It's helping massively with my spanish and it's much better than using crappy so-called translation sites which don't give any detail. If you're serious about learning spanish buy this app as it'll save time looking up words and give you detail. The verb conjugations are great too!
Not impressed
Most expensive app I've ever bought. According to the high quality of some free or up-to-two-pound apps that I've previously bought I was expecting a lot from this one. First search I make: "cumbersome", the word is not in the dictionary. Really disappointed and pretty annoyed.
rubbish dictionary in my opinion
I recently bought this mainly for the verb conjugations, which are useful, although each time I have tried to look up a word in the dictionary, it tells me that no entries matching my word were found. Luckily I don't need to rely on this dictionary . I find that the Oxford dictionary is far superior.
Absolutely useful a great tool to have

Robo
This dictionary is APPALLIIG. I feel particularly strongly about this since this dictionary replaced another Ultralingua product which I had paid for and was much better than this. This changeover happened at an update, with no prior warning given.
Useful but pricey
This app is quiet useful if you're out without access to the internet and you don't want to have to carry a big dictionary around with you just to translate a word. Although the price is a bit excessive it does seem to have a good range of vocabulary. It's worth the price if it's something that you're going to use regularly. It would be handy if you didn't have to explicitly specify if you want to translate from Spanish to English or English to Spanish. (I presume this would apply to any of the dictionaries) If I type in a word than only exists in English it should be clever enough to know that I want an English to Spanish translation.
Problema con version nueva
El problema lo solucione desinstalando la aplicación del ipod touch (precionas por segundos un icono y cuando esten temblando lo borras con la x)y eliminando del itunes (boton derecho en la aplicación y eliminar enviar a papelera) y nuevamente lo baje con mi cuenta para bajar gratis. Una vez que esté instalado en itunes sincronizas con el ipod y listo.
Almost worth the price.
This seems to be very stable and well thought out. The conjugations are great and the dictionary works well, but is lacking a little in the vocabulary. I think the biggest missing function from this app is the ability to search for common phrases. It's great having them as part of the results (as examples to whatever word you search for) but to be able to search for them would be VERY powerful and handy to many, I'm sure. Just because a lot of very common phrases don't have a literal translation. Please add support for phrases and this will be a killer app that will forever replace my paper dictionary!

Franchement embarassant
Le titre français de cette application a lui-même été traduit avec une erreur. On doit écrire "Espagnol-anglais", non "Espagnole-anglais". Il s'agit du substantif, non d'un adjectif. Non mais... la crédibilité en prend un coup.

Falla mucho.
Desde qué actualice a iOS6 en mi iPod Touch, La Aplicación (Ultralingua) me a dado muchos problemas, falla, se cuelga, cuando la uso y bloqueo el iPod al intentar volver a abrir la aplicación se tarda mucho y se cierra. Pensé que se solucionaría el problema con la actualización, pero todo sigue igual. Espero no se demoren en solucionar este problema.
Very handy
Yes it could be cheaper, but it is a very good app. I used online translation before the app store was live, and it was slow and painful.
OK, but Collins Pro looks better
I bought this instead of the very similar Collins Pro app by the same company to save myself a couple of pounds. After looking up the examples given in the other app's preview screens (band and buscar) I can say that the dictionary entries in this app are inferior, giving less detail and context and lacking usage notes. That's not to say that this app is bad - I just wish I hadn't had to spend £12 to compare it to the £15 app I now wish that I had bought instead. I hope this review helps others making the same choice.

The app works perfectly - Just what i need! I think this app is worth the money - I'm guessing that most people using it will be in another country so the "just use an online translator" argument doesn't really stand up as we all know what the roaming charges for data are like (if there's no Wi-Fi available)
