Excellent Daily Experience
Now,that I’m retired,reading the daily newspaper has become my favorite part of the day! The absolute breeze of navigating through the pages,couldn’t get any easier. I love clicking on an article,to bring it up on my tablet screen. A quick x,and I’m back to the paper. The added bonuses,too,make subscribing a NO BRAINER! I can read the USA Today,and multiple editions,from other states and cities. In my opinion,don’t change a thing. One last thing,Tracy Schumacher’s food/restaurant updates have a huge impact,in my weekly dining adventures. Thanks for everything…

I’m grateful for the D&C’s coverage of local and general news and their in-depth articles on the climate, etc. Imaging losing this news source makes me even more grateful that Rochester still has a local newspaper. I do however miss arts coverage!
The Sad Descent of Local Journalism
Less local news, and so many typographical errors. Who is doing the proofreading? I realize there are fewer people reading, and stretched budgets mean less time and money. But as the quality of local journalism goes down, fewer people are going to subscribe.

Rochester D&C
Although the newspaper has “day late” news, I enjoy reading about the details and facts that are often left out of newscasts. Room for improvement is with titles for the news pieces, as they are often VERY misleading and the placement of said facts: they are at the end of the article after a very opinionated bunch of “coulds, mights…and according to…(who is rarely reputable or has done a survey of more than 300 people).
Still Enjoy The D&C
I moved from Fairport to Charleston, SC five years ago and still subscribe. The Post & Courier newspaper in CHS is terrible, just repeats of the televised news.
Totally annoying
I used the “Digital Print” app for years. Lately it was freezing up forcing reboot of my ipad. In frustration I deleted the app to do a reinstall. Can’t even find the digital print app on the App Store now. Got this and hate it. Thanks D&C.

I hate the new version of the D&C. I no longer get the new in full screen. Why did you change the format!?
Hit & miss
The online version for the iPad has had multiple problems lately. E.g.: several days I could not open the USA Today section. Had to go from iPad to phone to make it work. Not fun. 12/6/25 the D&C opened at the comics page. No prior sections. ???

I have almost always read the D&C since I deliver it at 12 or 13 .
Bring back the old app
The new newspaper is smaller on the screen and hard to read. Overall a simple spell check and grammar check would really help your credibility.
Newspaper freezes up
Frequently while reading newspaper using the app, it freezes and have to come back to it later, reopen the app and continue reading. Very annoying. Requested fix from publisher many times with no response.

Why do so many of the same article show up in the same feed and sometimes right next to each other? Not enough news? What a joke. Not sure why I pay for it.

The app worked fine until 4 days ago. Now it will not download the full editions of the paper!

Covers local news well, in-depth on some issues, sometimes data is a day old, sports is an example. Otherwise, good resource.

Confusing and constantly changing
See the title … the App has confusing interfaces and, just when you have things nicely set up, the next time you open it you may be confronted with something different that you can’t even get out of.
Opinion
I enjoy the digital newspaper, but we’re not getting all the ads that you get in the Sunday paper. I’d like to know why.

Why not change your name from Democrats and Chronicle to NFL ONLY. We are being smothered with your repetitive “news” on football.
Doesn’t work on iPad
ENewspaper Hasn’t worked on my iPad for the last 3 weeks. Customer service was not at all helpful resolving the issue. They sent me a link that provided access for 1 day only
More comics!
Since the last update it’s more difficult to read the comics. I click one and then double tap and it enlarges nicely but it won’t swipe left or right. Eventually it will but inconsistent. I found if I slightly shrink the size it then swipes better but the full size is easier to read. iPhone 14 Pro
