New premium subscriber
As a new premium digital subscriber, I have been very happy overall with all the features afforded to me. These features include a very nice, clean layout of the news in The Morning Call app, without ads. I also get the electronic version of the actual paper edition. The one big feature that I don’t think people realize this subscription gets them, is that it includes a whole bunch of newspapers nationwide with the same features as The Morning Call premium digital subscription. You use the same login information with the other newspapers that are included. With all this in mind, it really does provide value for the money spent. Here are the newspapers you get access to: West Marin Independent Journal East Bay Times The Mercury News Times-Standard The Orange County Register The Chico Enterprise-Record Lake County Record-Bee San Gabriel Valley Tribune Santa Cruz Sentinel Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Oroville Mercury-Register Pasadena Star-News Red Bluff Daily News Redlands Daily Facts The Press-Enterprise San Bernardino Sun Daily Breeze The Ukiah Daily Journal The Reporter Weekly Review Times-Herald Whittier Daily News Woodland Daily Democrat Los Angeles Daily News The Daily Camera Carson City Daily Record The Denver Post The Fort Morgan Times Greeley Tribune Times-Call Reporter-Herald Journal-Advocate Northeast Boston Herald Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise Lowell Sun The Trentonian The Daily Freeman The Saratogian The Troy Record Lansdale Reporter The Times Herald The Mercury Daily Times Daily Local News The Hartford Courant Daily Press The Virginian-Pilot Morning Call Oneida Daily Dispatch Nashoba Valley Voice Midwest The Macomb Daily Morning Sun Chicago Tribune Oakland Press TwinCities Pioneer Press The Morning Journal The News-Herald Southeast South Florida Sun Sentinel Orlando Sentinel

Great newspaper
It’s really nice to be able to access this from SC I’ve lived 3/4 of my life in PA and being able to read how the Leigh Valley is progressing is very interesting to me. Keep up the great work❣️
Improvements needed
I enjoy reading the Morning Call and we have been subscribers for almost 3 decades, first the paper version and now the digital version. When you updated the digital app a few months ago you made it very hard and frustrating to read the newspaper. #1. Once you get through the first few pages it becomes very difficult to swipe to the next page. You have to swipe several times and it may work or you have to use 2 fingers to pull in on your current page and then try to swipe to the next page. #2. It is annoying that you can’t print or email a single article on the digital app. If you try to print you get the whole page and the print is so small you need the magnifying glass to read it. To print an article you have to use the website version of the digital newspaper. However the website version isn’t easy to read because you have the swiping to the next page issue and on my iPad I can get a full page view, however I used to be able to see a full page view. #3. I like to know what page of the newspaper I am reading. Before you upgraded you would have on the top of the paper page 1 of 26, 2 of 26, 3 of 26….and forward and backward arrows, now you don’t know where you are at in the newspaper and you can’t arrow forward or back, you have to swipe and that is not easy or a reliable function. I’m not sure why you updated and made it more difficult to read the newspaper, it wasn’t broken, no fix was needed. However, now it is broken and fixes are needed. I hope you read this and heed my comments, put the newspaper back the way it was , you didn’t improve anything.
Worthless news except for obituaries
The app has finally stabilized after a number of years of Beta performance. It is really sad to see an historic quality local paper devolve into wireline regurgitation. No attempt to ever provide a balanced perspective. Just call it The Blue Dogma.
Limited
I love that I can read the Call on my tablet now. Sadly I can't play the games on my iPad or iPhone.
A newspaper?
The obvious decline in editorial content and staff journalist is disheartening. Except for scanning the Obits and “Peanuts” all of the other reporting can be found elsewhere. There is no genuine editorial content exploring local issues. Restaurant and retail openings/closings dominate copy content. Sad demise of a once great local news source.
Frustrated
I’ve been a paper subscriber for over 20 years and the app still one that me not let me read online, telling me I need a subscription. Logging in repeatedly is getting very tiresome.
Tech Support Needs to be Improved
I have subscribed to the Morning Call for five decades. I find the articles to be informative and balanced. The lifestyles features are interesting, and my husband loved the sports coverage. Since becoming a digital-only subscriber, I have experienced difficulty accessing my subscription. I called the customer service number and I was told twice a technical support person would get back to me. That was weeks ago and no one has contacted me. Very poor customer service.
No Landscape?
Why would you remove landscape orientation? And the previous version was so much better where articles could be read in a normal page view instead of in a narrow column where you have to constantly scroll.
Excellent Coverage
I especially like the Evening Call - excellent coverage of national and international events of the day.
Delivery
Non existent
Unlimited Subscription???
I have unlimited subscription but your alerts all state that I have reached the limit of my free articles and therefore prevent me from reading new alert articles
Game and comics
What happened to the games and puzzle pages and the comic strips. How can a person get through the day without humor first? Please fix this.
Great site.
Great site.
Leftist activists presenting as journalists
I have never liked the Morning Call rag. I read the headlines to gauge the temperature and sentiment of its “journalists “ Each day they do not disappoint. Their left wing views are so painfully obvious. Their reluctance to speak the truth about anything remotely related to President Donald Trump is disingenuous and pathetic. Remember boys and girls at the Morning Call , he’s now our “rightful” president. Landslide Victory! I know it disgusts you to acquiesce to this fact, so you continue to punch upwards pathetically as your public laughs at the transparency of your so called journalism.
Can’t read in landscapre view on ipad
Unlike all the other news apps on my ipad, Morning Call will not rotate to landscape view. Since my ipad is attached to my bluetooth keyboard, turning the thing sideways for morning call is not a welcome thing. Forget it
No longer working
I’m putting this on the review because the support tab appears to not work. It takes me to a different MCall page. With the new login feature, when I tap one newspaper, it now asks me if I want a free trial subscription when I’ve been paying for a subscription for years.
Disappointing
The App is slow and it always logs me out and interrupts my viewing with unnecessary ads.
Don’t get on line paper anymore and didn’t get Sundays paper this week
Paid for paper and don’t recive it
Bad service
Keep on letting people from the Philippines take care of your customers problems. Your paper is going down hill and your American company good care less. David Keeney
Frustrating
App will never open “Breaking News” tab saying “Cannot Connect Active connection needed to view content”on iPad. Even when I have an active internet connection
Keep abreast in what is going on in Allentown
Since I moved away from town it is a great way to find out what is going on in town.
To many ads to active trying to read a story
Editor or whenever makes decisions they should be fired
Constant re-sign in
App is constantly asking me to sign in again and again.
Will not load!
After updating to iPad iOS 15 this app crashes multiple times before finally loading. On a separate note. Why so many ads. The paper already has ads in it so why some many additional ad that make pages load slowly.
Best local newz
Accessibility improved. Easier to use.
Pop-Ups Make It Unreadable
The number of pop-up ads on a single page often makes it difficult if not impossible to read a story.
Broken app
Edit: Received a response from the developer and the issue below has been fixed. The app works great now. Thank you! The app inserts random letters and characters into the articles, making them nearly impossible to read.
Subscription failure.
I pay a monthly subscription for the Morning Call, but yet when I go to their app and attempt to read the Morning Call, I am directed to a page that indicates that I am not a subscriber and directs me to another page to pay the subscription. Thus the one star.
Can’t read the article
The app will not let me read the article
Why remove landscape mode?
My older mom has gotten the morning call for decades. I was able to get her to learn the iPad and switch from a physical paper to a digital version. All of the apps on the iPad use a landscape view which makes everything easier. The latest update removed this for some reason that makes it much harder for my mom to use. There is no option to switch between both views. Please bring back that landscape view that all tablet apps use.
Bogged down by ads
You pay for the service then are loaded with ads that are difficult to remove.
The Morning Call price by country
A monthly subscription costs $5.42 in Nigeria and $24.62 in Colombia — 5× more for the same thing. Below is the going rate for each plan in every country that sells it — the middle price of what the app charges there, in the country's own currency with the dollar equivalent beneath it.
