This app sucks
I’m baffled why there are so many 5 star ratings on here. Why you are forced to download project files onto your local device with the mobile app for a cloud service, I have no idea. You are also forced into using this app frol mobile when attempting to log in from browser. For hyper scalers and large project this app is almost unusable and syncing with latest data takes forever and a few gigs of memory. Would only ever use on a company provided device and even then the amount of features and interface compared to the desktop website is trash.

App is ok but could use some feature updates and overall layout and performance improvements, and needs an option to grab photos from the Files app on iOS, instead of just scrolling through your photos library. Overall, Autodesk works.

Not happy with mobile app
Glitchy sync process- never seems to be up-to-date.
Issues Map Function is sluggish and can’t filter issues by watchers.
When using the app in the field to find issues the map is sluggish or does not work at all. If I want to find an issue I’m assigned as a watcher on there is no filter on the app for that function.
Very great app
It’s a very useful app I wish it was more tools to be able to build my own designs but other than that I give it a ten out of ten
Used to work but now crashes every time I open on my iPad
IPad Pro 10.5 running 17.7.11 iOS. Went to use it yesterday for a punch and when I open it then it crashes right away. I even did a full reset of my iPad and reinstalled the Build app and it still does this….
Adding Users
I love the app and love the information at my finger tips. The only thing missing from this app as a BIM Manager is the ability to add users to projects and manipulate permissions.
Mediocre Project App
As an Architect who uses Autodesk software every day, I would expect their project app would be able to efficiently display project photos and sheets correctly for markups. Unfortunately that is not the case and the user interface is a complete let down. All you need to do is turn your phone to landscape mode to see how terrible the interaction with sheets and markups. It makes absolutely no sense why there is no way to share a PDF sheet either. Taking and viewing project photos in the photos section is also just as bad an experience. The files section is only a viewer and does not let you share files with project team members so it’s basically useless. Maybe one day Autodesk will get the app up to par with their competitors but don’t cross your fingers.
Glitchy
For me, this has been very glitchy, and not nearly as simple and consistent to use as PlanGrid was. I do not think I could give it more than three stars until they fix some of the issues that we’ve been having.
This is the best. Hands down
We have been migrating to procore over the past year, and this app is so much better. As a field user of both apps, literally side by side, on my iPad, I can assure you this is the best. I have created hundreds of QA, deficiency, and punchlist inspection reports, in the past several years, and nothing comes close. The functionality of the tools, the layout of the reports, the easy user interface, customizable. Get this app, and remember, I’m jealous
Too many pop ups
The pop ups keep coming on the web browser to get the app so I took time out o my day to down vote this app out of spite
Good but could be better
System as a whole is decent but is lacking in some areas, especially ergonomics when using in fast pace and high volume deficiency inputting on the mobile app. Examples: When taking pictures it doesn’t allow for pictures to be taken consecutively you must click the picture tab after every picture which is an incredibly slow process when you need to take 40-50+ pictures for issues like drywall and paint. Camera versatility, the system does not support wide angle pictures which would be very helpful for tight spots, if you want those picture you have to import them which is also timely. For tag task drop-down there are many tabs that some may use but not many, it would be very useful if there was an option to remove some of those tabs like “assigned to” “watching” “start date” “due date”. Having this option would stream line the process and make it less likely to click random tabs you never use while trying to navigate the task drop-down. Lastly this may be a bug but on mobile when you add a description and then take a photo and save it brings you back to task drop-down and still has keyboard active which makes it hard to re-click picture of video option again. I think that the system is very useful but lacks in these key areas that are needed for applications like construction which I believe is the target market.
Manque de fonctionnalités
Beaucoup de fonctionnalités manque par rapport au logiciel web. Selon moi, l’application à comme but de rendre le logiciel plus pratique et accessible en effectuant des tâches lorsqu’on est à l’extérieur du bureau. Malheureusement, je dois quand même prendre des notes et attendre d’être retourner au bureau pour pouvoir utiliser plusieurs fonctionnalités, ce qui fait parfois attendre mes collègues et nuit à l’efficacité des opérations. Contrairement au logiciel web, l’application n’est pas encore au point.
3D view crashing
Please address viewing 3D created by “save to Docs”. It is very easy to crash.

Horrible
If I could give 0 stars, I would. If you are a GC and looking to use this for your projects, DON’T. Tasks that should take 2 clicks and 30 seconds turn into spending 5 minutes. Nothing within the platform speaks to each other, and even the most basic of functions (like specification numbers populating for submittals) is unavailable! You constantly have to refresh the app if you’re on mobile (as many supers are) to see changes. If you enjoy technology from the 2010’s then this app and its current integration is for you.
Good but…
It would be nice to change the map view to satellite in photos maps. Also add multiple tags to photos. Add issues to a 3D model.
App Battery Usage is beyond unnecessary
I’ve used PlanGrid for a while, I am a Project Engineer along with a good understanding of computer programming, scripting, etc etc. I will have to say this App is just absolutely absurd with the amount of background activity it’s performing or whatever it’s doing, to the point where I’m convinced this is a farming app. It’s done nothing but gotten worse. I have background app refresh off, I use the iPad Air M1, that is fairly new as I had it replaced 2-3 months ago. Just today, I get into work, open the app view my surveys. It claims the app was on screen for 5 hours, which is not true at all, if anything, maybe 2 hours on screen, with 18 minutes in the background, using 69% of my battery. The reason I know the screen time is incorrect, is because my iPad auto locks after 1 minute, along with how my day went today. I notice often that this simple app, simply makes my iPad fairly warm also, even with it locked. If I close the app, my iPad can just sit in my bag on 100% all day with no use, even opening up my iPad the next day and seeing 99%. If I leave the app open, my iPad will be dead in around 8 hours times. Again App refresh is fully disabled. There is obviously some issue, and it needs to be fixed.

App works OK, and it’s worth having, but I am disappointed that I can’t do basic management tasks to ACC projects or the account on it. Frankly, my phone is not the place to look at the model, but it sure would be handy if I could update someone’s permissions while on the go. Just got a request to add a couple of detailers and give them access to the Clod Workshared model in Docs and I had to get the laptop and hotspot out. Seems much easier to implement that than the LMV on iOS.

Uploading download process too long with WIFI and charging. It should upload quickly but takes too long for minimal documents.
Great idea
Really good idea for the construction industry. Would like to be able to save a PDF specification as one folder and not as lots of separate pages. Would also like the ability to add notes to separate blank page or even a diary against each job. Great start.
Interesting idea, poor execution
It would be great to have everything needed for a project in one place. But the way they set this up it is difficult to find things. The search function is not great, and the sync doesn’t always work. So you tell it to sync, it says downloading, but it doesn’t tell you how much or how fast it is running, so after an hour of waiting you realize the program has screwed up and to get it to work again you have to uninstall and reinstall the program and redownload everything. It would be great if they included indicators for the amount being downloaded and how fast/estimated time remaining.

Best app for blueprints and punch lists!
Our company has been using PlanGrid for a few months now and we love it! It is the best app I have used for keeping drawings up to date. Tracking issues on site is so easy with PlanGrid and all project members can have the same info, up to the minute. We have all had drawings where there have been changes made but no new drawings issued. This app allows you to hyperlink all your RFI’s, PCN’s and SI’s etc to the exact spot on the drawings that are affected. Having this app cuts down on costly mistakes due to out of date information. I highly recommend this for all construction sites!
User Management
It’s disappointing that we are still not able to manage users on the go. Adding people to a project and assigning roles is my number one need when mobile.
Needs work
Not so easy to do mark ups and snippets from the IPad, functionality is not great. Very good idea to have all information in 1 place to share but not functional from and IPad.

Great app, but expensive monthly
Senior technical architect
I use an Apple Pencil to mark up drawing. When I letter free hand, it interprets this as tapping and zooms in and out. I have turned off all zoom and gesture features with no avail. This super frustrating and poor UI. Typical Autodesk monopoly behavior. The bought plan grid and some how managed to make it worse.
Keeps zooming out and plans don’t always show up
This drives me crazy! I would totally give them app 5 stars if it were not for this. We use the documents tab to store and view shop drawings, as well as other documents. Every time i try to zoom into a document or shop drawing it just zoomed right back out and i can’t hardly get anything done. If you are viewing documents on a computer they get real distorted and illegible when you zoom in as well. Also, it has been happening more and more that when i try to view plans some of them won’t show up. Instead i see grey blocks populate on the screen and no drawing. This is ridiculous and i will be contacting Plangrid about this because it is unacceptable. I have to start using Procore when this happens because our GC usesProcore and I don’t have this problem when viewing drawings on Procore.

New Name and Logo Are Nonsense
Why change the name? Why change the logo? Now it sounds and looks like Autodesk bloatware instead of what it actually was, a very useful and iconic application.
