Best workout app!
I’ve used this app for over 1 year now and I’ve really loved it! It pushes me to my limits and keeps me from getting bored with my workouts. It works all body parts and incorporates cardio!
Completely Unusable
Tried redownloading and app is stuck at the startup page then crashes. I already paid for lifetime access so I guess I’m SOL. Avoid this app!
Easy to use, data security questions, doesn’t sync to Apple Health
Very easy to use. I wish all the trifecta meals were already in the database (seems like this would be a no-brainer), but I find myself having to manually add a lot of them. Main drawback is that it doesn’t export to the Health app. Also, I suspect they share more data than they let on. Twice I completed the form requesting they not share my information but never received confirmation. Also, I have been scanning some snack products that are in my office (things I never buy for myself) and then only after scanning them I started getting recommendations from Amazon grocery to add those exact products to my cart.
Not for food ordering?
Wants me to subscribe to something additional to the meal plans. So far cannot use app, will stick to website for managing meal plans.
App Review
I’ve used a few meal subscriptions and decided to give Trifecta a try. The app is terrible, it’s hard to find your subscription, change meals, & skip weeks. Should be easier to access
Great, but…
Food is good and easy to log. I wish the app had some place where i could keep track of my daily digestion and other observations I might make
Pathetic
Paying $250/wk for meals and I’m still required $12.99/mo to be able to see and track my macros?! A business model that is borderline extorting money from its customers will not get any additional money from me!
Review
The app was good but I can’t find all the trifecta meals that I subscribe to in the app. Would be better if it integrated the food service for logging.
BE CAREFUL IF YOU SIGN UP WITH V-SHRED!
V-Shred gives you a code to use when you sign up. It’s for 7 meals a month (I think that’s right)…. If you don’t enter the information correctly, you’ll get charged almost $200 EVERY WEEK!!!. I had to cancel my card to get them to stop charging my account. The food is fine, but I will not pay $800 a month for that food!

Trifecta company
I have been with Trifecta for about 12 seasons now. I like how the food is always evolving depending on fresh availability. The delivery system is super easy to use and very convenient especially when going out of town (with forthought). I was able to learn how to start tracking macros with the Trifecta app and really enjoy the accountability and comradely of the Trifecta Facebook group. As I evolve is seems that Trifecta Company does right along with me. Very grateful for the forward thinking company and their continued growth towards affordable, fresh, planet friendly food delivery options and more.
Terrible
As a developer & as a user, this is among the top 3 worst apps I’ve ever used in the history of the smart phone. The interface is cluttered & the responsiveness reminds me of Windows 95. Horrible. Trash. Start over with a new app.
so far so good
App seems to work great, and i like seeing all the nutrition information, not just calories. I am using this with the meal service and it would be nice if the meals were saved in the list of foods!! Like, I eat the trifecta meal - brisket with cauliflower, but I have to just select generic brisket, generic cauliflower, the info for the meal is not in the list. i guess i could input it myself, but yikes!!
Workouts
I’m a big fan of the workouts and have been using the app for a long time. But currently new daily workouts aren’t loading. This has been going on for 4 days, and seems to happen once every few months. It seems to take a week or more to fix each time.
Need a option to just buy the food and not create a plan
I don't like that the app seems to force you to provide unnecessary health info( such as weight) if you just want to purchase the food. I’m working with a trainer so I’m covered there. They should have an option for people who don’t need to create a plan for them. I try to limit personal information I provide on apps (especially health related) unless it’s necessary.

Have been using the trifecta app along with my meal plans for 5 months now and have lost 70lbs and have made life changing improvements to my nutritional knowledge and eating habits thanks to TRIFECTA!!!
Need dedicated app
Please make a dedicated app just for the meal plans. I do not want to track weight and calories. Just want an app to chose meals on weakly order. With that in mind this app is horrible.
App issue
Love the app, but now it’s not letting me change the number of serving per food item I log.
App went down hill
I use the app for macro tracking and after the last update, I will not be renewing this fall. For instance you could on the past select chicken cutlet and change serving to unit of measurement (oz, grams…) now you can just select number of cutlets. Leaves you guessing since some weigh quite different. Less precise and not good for people who are serious about tracking.
Review TBD - Just Signed Up
Right off the bat, zero integration with Apple Health which was extremely disappointing. I like to combine all by data into one centralized point. Would be great if it could integrate with Whoop as well since the workouts are so closely correlated. :)

Get ready for Trifecta to steal your money
I used Trifecta and this app for years, receiving two boxes every Friday, but often had difficulties pausing the service. There is no “pause account” or “cancel service” button on the dashboard. To pause or cancel your account, you must reach a human being. Trifecta does have a “skip weeks” feature that allows you to skip specific weekly deliveries. After using the “skip” feature the week prior to a trip, I was charged for one box anyway. The staff gave conflicting, confused explanations, at first falsely claiming I had manually “unskipped” one box and then that my boxes had “separate subscription numbers.” A sales manager, Dave, eventually described a complicated process by which I should have “toggled” into a second box—a feature not visible on the main dashboard—to fully skip the order. When I asked him: “How could I have known that I needed to go through these steps to skip an order?,” Dave reiterated that my money would not be refunded and hung up the phone.
Good overall (premium user)
App is consistently updated, which is nice. There use to be a lot of glitches with meal entry that have mostly been addressed. Current update doesn’t allow us to adjust the serving size for food items anymore. That’s a real problem that hopefully gets addressed soon.
Disappointed
I liked the app but recently on the workouts portion I get the spinning wheel of death. The main reason I used the app was for the workouts. If this isn’t fixed, I will be forced to delete. Thank goodness for free trials. I also do not like how the app does not account for active calories burnt in the meals. It tried telling me that I needed to be in a 1700 caloric deficit which is insane by all accounts. They need to integrate a feature to adjust your calories and macros based on workouts or they will create eating disorders amongst people.

All in one app
I love the Trifecta app. I can track my food intake and also find daily WODs that include a warm up and strength segment. An added bonus is the workout timers that are included and preprogrammed for the WOD. I highly recommend it.
Does Not Work As Described
Does not scan Trifekta meals. Search does not contain all Trifekta meals. Also does not connect to Apple Watch for fitness activity.
Great food (5 star), App is pretty good
The food is outstanding. And great value. The app is a little buggy sometimes but has solid functionality. Great when it works
Food log crashes a lot
This app is fantastic for everything except for the food log. It’s infuriating. It crashes constantly especially when I try to log food in grams and then doesn’t save what you’ve just logged. That’s the only malfunction with this app. It is so inconvenient, and it’s been doing it for all 3 years I’ve been using, through every phone and update, the only certainty is that it will crash when you log a food and not save your progress. Please fix this! I love everything else about the app.
Please fix the bugs
I enjoy this app, I really do. But it has become a DAILY struggle to log my food, and it’s no longer a quick task. I find that it freezes after logging a food item, and I have to close out of the app. When I open it back up, it didn’t even log my time. Sometimes I have to log, exit and re-log up to 5 times for one item, and I still have several others to log after the first one. It’s really infuriating, PLEASE FIX THIS.
Great all in one app
This is a great all in one app. I’ve been using it every day for tracking macros and when I train, whether using the workout plans or just the timers that are essential for the workouts I enjoy. The workout plans are great too with the A and B variations because I travel a lot for work and don’t always have access to equipment. It keep its interesting and at just the right intensity.
App’s nutrition tracking is unusable
The app has a predefined list of meals and ingredients, which is helpful, but if you ever eat anything not on the list there’s no way of entering anything manually, and hence no way of tracking it. Missing such a basic feature makes the app basically useless as a diet tracker. The exercise tracker isn’t great, either: if you go on a run, you can log either the time or the distance, but not both.
Almost perfect
The food is great, the app is almost perfect. The one issue I have with the app is the continuous crashes when copying a meal from a previous date or recipe.
Unstable app
This app glitches out regularly and was worth it when it was free but now that it’s a pay app forget it. Find a better macro counter.
Okay
I like the clean user interface. Not crowded and easy to navigate. I didn’t really like that it does f do iOS Health integration though which was the main reason for the 3 stars instead of 5. I also thought the exercises were a bit too intense for a first timer. I have zero clue what REP6 means.
Love This App
I started using this app back in May and I love it. It really helps me track of my micros. I love the barcode scan feature.
App is useless without a paid plan.
On top of that the 14-day free trial they mention in the app description is non-existent.
Great Customer Service
Worked with Stacy and with a couple quick emails she fixed my apps issue of closing when switching from Date to ABC search options.
Great app when it works.
Signed up for the 90 day challenge, and have been tracking since January 2nd. Subject to random freezes when logging foods. Also, I have never been able to go back and edit a food once logged. The “save changes” button doesn’t seem to function. Closing app and/or restarting phone doesn’t help with either issue. Today is the first day I’ve been unable to log a meal completely, as the app freezes after saving a food item.
Good app, needs some work
I do love this app. It’s come such a long way and the functionality is intuitive and comprehensive. I love the training feature and the recipes. Little things like the fitness timers are so thoughtful and helpful. The one down fall is the database for tracking food. It isn’t very robust which makes tracking tedious. I look forward to them continuing to improve and hope to come back give them five stars soon.
Food Desert
Living in a food desert and having the closest grocery store 30 minutes away I have found it extremely difficult to reach my goals. And even if I was good for a while about making it to the store the food quality was lacking. It was very discouraging and sucked all motivation out me. When I found trifecta, not only was the food quality there but it also integrated flawlessly with an app that helps you reach your goals. Calculating your macros every step of the way with a customized meal plan. Starting to get great results and look forward to my meals every week. I am doing keto meal plan and so far has been great. Highly recommend to try out trifecta.
Not worth the money
I had high hopes for this app but was disappointed as soon as I tried to enter the first food item into the log. It doesn’t allow you to change measures (ie. TB to OZ) for specific items. You have to search through and find a close alternative to enter the measurements you want. If you create a recipe it doesn’t enter the name of the recipe and just macros for the recipe , it list all the ingredients in your recipe when you log your meal. The app and database need major improvements.
Best app any crossfitter can have!
This is by far the best app for tracking your growth and development. It's easy to use, totally comprehensive, and the app support team is second to none! Well done with this app!
Useful but glitchy
I I’ve been using this app for over two years and there are so many glitches. I love the timber and tracking my WODs but it’s annoying when it doesn’t work 90% of the time. I can’t even see what I’m typing right now…
Great app but missing cool down
Everything about this app is great but one area of let down is the fact it is missing post workout cool down.
Best thing I bought myself this yeae
The paleo meals are consistently delicious, the packaging is sustainable, and the program ultimately saves me time, money, and reduces waste. I have been easily losing weight while feeling fortified for my workouts. Couldn't be happier with this investment in myself.
Slow, a lot of bugs, & food subscription sketchy
1. Can’t edit your food subscription in the app. 2. When looking at your subscription, interface is laggy and very slow. 3. In nutrition section, you can’t enter barcodes manually (writing the barcode number). Would be very useful, since the barcodes that come with the trifecta prepared meals are sometimes smudged & very hard for the camera to pick up — entering barcode numbers manually is necessary. 4. Can’t export your nutrition diary. 5. Not even close to what other nutrition tracking apps can do. ***For the price of the the food & and this app’s subscription, I’m very disappointed with this app. I would not recommend it. If you need to track your nutrition, use other apps. ***As far as food subscription, I’m thinking on canceling that as well… After my first, CUSTOM 14 meal, order arrived, I received an email saying that some of the custom items in the next week’s order are out of order because of “high demand”… >>>That is sketchy, because they claim that the food is being cooked the week of the shipment… so how can it be out of order if it hasn’t been cooked yet? They are asking you to update your custom meals within 24 hours, or chef will pick meals for you. When I go online (website - NOT app) to update my meal — there are very little, to no other options to choose from. ***From what I’m getting, they initially entice you with a large variety of items for your custom order, and then trick you to switch to items that they want you to include each week. Very sketchy indeed.
