What people like
- Very easy to set up and use
- Helpful for tracking local emergencies and events
- Reliable performance when the connection is stable
What they complain about
- Audio quality is often unclear or slurred
- Stations frequently go offline or drop out
- Ads play even if you paid for them
- Local police feeds are missing in many areas
Neighborhood watch
Good to know what is going on nearby.
Not working ,
I paid for one of these apps now I can’t even use it, this app and its updates don’t even work , I have to go out of the area till even listen to it
Very Useful
I travel on the interstate a lot. If something is going on ahead I can usually scan the area police or state troopers and get an idea. It makes me appreciate the police even more than I already did from what I hear on Police Scanner & Fire Radio. The updates are just great. This is the best scanner app.
Don’t pay for the upgrade
The scanner will stop playing if there’s an ad… super inconvenient. I paid for the upgrade for no ads.. STILL HAS ADS! WASTE OF MONEY
Audio
Audio is not very clear

It’s constantly off-line!
When it works, it’s wonderful. But it’s off-line more than it is on not worth it.
Where is the aviation channels now?
Since the update, where did the live ATC channels go?
Not reliable
I live in Mooresville NC, Iredell County. The fire And police coverage was very good for a long time but has now disappeared completely.
Prefer Old Interface
I love this app and use it very often. However I do not like the new plain text interface. I miss the customized background and look of the radio part. I also do not like how you are not able to tell if a station is Offline at the moment. Please bring that part back also.
Shutting off
App keeps shutting off and unless I am watching closely I miss info
Police scanner, and fire radio
The update ruined this app you cannot send recordings anymore
Ok?🤔😕😀
As a scary cat person I like knowing what’s going on where I live! And that’s when Police Scanner came in!! It was very helpful at sometimes, but others not so much. It would go blank, and in the morning it would say something like”Put up the HOLD sign! I’m gonna go see what he wants!” And “1845 1845 bring em here” but other than that it was helpful at some times and others not so much!
Very unresponsive
I see questions others have that I have also but I never see answers. The app is great when it works and is online. Not sure why it goes offline for days on end. I haven’t been impressed enough to purchase anything extra and if that’s by design, it’s not working for me, especially with the review by someone who did purchase the pro and still has issues! Major app improvement needed.
Older was better
I liked the recently replaced interface better than the new. Years ago it had a lot more stations and districts in Ohio to listen to.
Great!
I’ve been using this for years
Why
Despite canceling the subscription I was charged anyway
Not bad
Not bad so far I haven’t really used it much
Pathetic most of the time.
To be fair this review is based only on how the app works in my area. This used to be a really good app but something has changed and for this to be a police scanner app I get very few police interactions. Its mostly EMS and Fire and while I’m not talking down to those guys, I have the app because it’s called a police scanner! If you live in or around Anderson SC buy a real scanner otherwise you won’t hear much of the police at all. Same for the other police scanner apps as well.
Clarity
Many of the conversations sound slurred. Sharper clearer sound would be much appreciated.
I love this app
This app is awesome it has really become in Handy. Especially if they is an emergency in mg area.
Update Sucks
New update ruined the app interface. Like no custom backgrounds or app icons anymore? Deleting it in favor of a different one.
Works well
Like all the features that others do not have.
Used to be a great app
When I used the free version I had no problems, great app for listening to all sorts of radio programmes, but now that I have upgraded to the paid version, it not only keeps crashing, but almost all the stations I listened to are unreachable. What is going on?
Review from zip 57747
Not a lot of scanner feed anymore
Efficient
This worked and was very easy to use and get started. Simple straightforward.
Don’t bother
Nothing works
Montreal,Canada
Hello, I would like to know if it would be possible to have the frequencies for Canada Quebec Montérégie Police Longueuil and Canada Quebec Montreal Police Montreal. Thank you
No good
No local content unless you live in the usa
Cuts in and out
It’s hard to decipher conversations, the live vocal isn’t clear. I still respect these guys though. Tough job these days.
Hi
This is pretty cool
Lame
Hardly works
Awesome
When Major Events happen you can tune into the action!
Was Great, not so much anymore
On the free version I could hear the chatter from my area. Now it's only EMS ! Not what I paid for.
Police scanner
Great scanner. Crystal clear
Charges You Incorrectly
Charges $39.99 /year instead of the $2.99 / week, and also charges you right away when you select free trial, before the 3 days are up.
Goood
Great
Change setting
Record button is very hard to start and stop
Best app
Best app in the world and is better than those other apps but I would like the review to not be reminded so many times just to demand it but otherwise it’s a really good app
Broken
Ad shows on top no matter what
Good app
Good
It's an ok app!!!
I purchased this app with the understanding you receive all police scans, I live in Ontario but do not get any Toronto or OPP feeds WHY? What a waste of time and money I'm not a happy customer ! You need to tell people what you get and what you don't! I think it's a scam and apple should crack down on these people requiring much more strict information before we purchase these products !!!
Dependable
I listen every night and it’s always reliable.
No longer works
The police scanners no longer work. Voices are now scrambled.
i like it
I like it, but I find that some stations drop often, Its worth purchasing.
It's ok
Could be a little more user friendly when you leave it running in the back ground and reopen it, you have to re select the channel your listening to, hence it opens again giving you echo
