Long time customer
There is a lot to pick from and the site stays current with AI technology. I choose to stay legal and fair to photographers and makers so like that usage information is presented in a standard way in a consistent location.
Unusable
I would love to be able to use this app but there is no search filter for unlimited plan assets only. This means I am forced to use the website instead.
The only issue with the website
The website is pretty good I’ll give you that, the only downside is that you have to pay real money to earn back your credits for generating ai images, no waiting or any of that stuff paying is required for you to get your credits back
Not enough variety
No depth and variety when it comes to classical and heritage imagery of India. Extremely poor range, hard to call it even a range.

This app used to be nearly flawless, but for the past couple of months a very important feature has been broken for the majority of images. When you tap on a picture to expand the size and have the ability to zoom, the screen turns black. This is happening to about 75%+ of the images. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, but it still happens. iPhone 12 Pro with the latest version of IOS.

Too Slow, Too Many Crashes
I use this app every day to peruse ideas when I’m away from my PC. I’ve had this routine for a few years now… Saving a file to a favorites folder sometimes takes several minutes. I’ve curated my favorites down to a dozen folders, yet it still takes forever to pull them up. Very frustrating to sit here watching the app plug away like cold molasses. What’s worse, typically after about ten minutes of using the app, it crashes and I have to start the waiting again. It clearly needs to be updated or streamlined.

Double Billing
I used shutter stock as photo references for years and loved it. I realized they were double billing me on my PayPal account last month. They were charging me the $29 a month fee and also a $299 a year fee. I’m only one person. No one would answer any contacts to see why I was being billed twice, so I contested the payment on PayPal. Shutter stock blocked my account and refuses to tell me why I have two bills unless I uncontested the $299 fee on PayPal. So unless I agree to pay them twice, they won’t even talk to me. Not even in chat. I wish they could at least communicate, but money is obviously more important to them than customer service. I will be telling every artist I know.

Sometimes the photos exported to the camera roll refuse to show up in other apps.
My collections no longer show
It’s always had weird bugs, but now it won’t even load saved collections. It just offers to create a new one. I have loads of saved ones I access all the time and now only way is to go to website which totally pointless waste of time as on iPad using website is just to clumsy.
Can’t use editor
The website has an edit function which I never use because if I’m in my laptop I’d rather edit in Photoshop, but this app doesn’t give access to the editing function, which is annoying as when working in phone, it would actually be really useful!

Beautiful images of anything you can imagine. It’s an artist’s heaven.
Be ware
Once you attach your credit card to this account you will not be able to remove it. I called their help and they said I can’t do that and the only option is to replace it with another one. They will charge every time you accidentally click on picture without asking you to confirm. I was charged $50 two times without my planning to purchase and authorizing it. Please find a safer site to purchase pictures. I have deleted my account and moved on.

Does not work most of the times
Started really well but like other reviewers here stated the app usually logs of from the account might take 1 month might take 3 ,password resets etc etc ,app becoming too clumsy ,deleted as too much of an headache to bother myself

Oh dear, I don’t like this
Back when the internet was a kinder, more gentle place, when we didn’t have to worry about the extreme far right living in a fantasy {… yeah well, Reagan… that’ll never make sense …} *This* far right in *this* fantasy of another no-talent "actor" was made more dangerous because a crazy man & minions were able to babble about overthrowing the US government. They egged each other on, their contacts made possible by their overwhelming misunderstanding of reality, aka "paranoia" and the internet. Scraping (is that the word?) the web for public domain or unattributed images may not be as awful as planning a coup but it sure wasn’t a thing in the before days. I had the Best & Most Beautiful Dog Ever and found her images reposted often, many in Eastern Europe. I didn’t worry about ownership of my photos even though translation wasn’t straightforward and I couldn’t read the actual words. I’d worry more now about a for-profit entity that doesn’t care about ownership, only profit. —————————— —————𖥶𖦊𖥶𖦊𖥶————𖥶𖦊𖥶𖦊𖥶————𖥶𖦊𖥶𖦊 My suggestion? Search for images outside of this company. Do reverse image searches with some of many apps (free are fine), use Google Photos and “Lens” … lots of ways ————————— ———— 𖣂. 𖢃 𖢨 𖣇 ——— 𓃠 𓏧 𓈒 𓇸 𓇷 𓇳 𓃠 𓃦 𓃉 𓃥 𓊸𖨡𖨠𖨡—————— My suggestion to anyone reviewing an app they hate? A great app if you want to pay for the images. All the images I wanted to download came up with a message upgrade to paid subscription. I really don't mind paying for a picture, but I think you should let people know.

sometimes you charge me for photos I haven't used, sometimes you kick me out of the app, sometimes you tell me you have a virus.
Hate the subscription
I saw the promotion thing that popped up months ago and It didn’t say it was a annual contract and because of that I would be stuck paying it for the year because you can’t cancel unless you go on the website and and pay to cancel and be charged for each month left in the plan

Convenient but lacks all the features of the main website. Shuts down unexpectedly sometimes.

It’s almost impossible to find instructions on how to download the jpg images into files with the iPad.

Hi. Love this app. But it takes nearly 30 seconds to add an image to your light box! Too much time when you are busy which means I could save time on my laptop, which defeats the purpose. Solve this and I will give you a 5.

Don't be fooled!
Obviously Shutterstock has a huge library of images - which are watermarked. I was surprised to see that this app, claiming you could download images, had no mention of in-app purchases, so I assumed that this was going to be, surprisingly, free. Stupid! While it is true there are no in-app purchases, users must 'upgrade to a paid subscription' to do so, something that only can be done in a browser. Accurate, yet misleading, opportunism.
Disappointing...
I was really looking forward to using this app,but what a shame that it constantly crashes... It's also a massive let down when it crashes after you've scrolled through several hundred pics then have to start from the beginning again!!! I've read many complaints in the reviews on this issue,and they stem back from quite a few months ago,and still nothing has been done about it... I suggest the crew at Shutterstock Inc review these reviews that they ask people for,and do something about fixing it... We've done our part,so please do yours and fix it!!!

HORRIBLE
I signed up for a free trial and then canceled in the app. Apparently if you cancel in the app, they do not count it and will still charge you monthly. THE $30 IS NOT PER YEAR ITS PER MONTH! They automatically enroll you in a 1 year contract without asking and charge a LARGE FEE to cancel early. They charged me $30 for a month after I canceled and then I was charged $40 TO STOP THEM! DO NOT USE THEM!

I love the abstract backgrounds especially. So much inspiration for graphic design. Very user friendly! No need to download. Just use lightbox and browse. Write number of image required and purchase from computer.

Really impressed with the app and picture quality however I can't download a single item as I need the full subscription? Why didn't it download this version then? Can't find the correct one. Very frustrating.
