Channel 12 is always accurate on the news they report on I have been watching Channel 12 since I was 55 years old would not change it for nothing. Thank you all for what you do.
Cluttered Mess
Do you enjoy ads? Do really enjoy ads? Then download this piece of garbage. I just spent more time scrolling through weird AI ads than I did getting the news. I recently downloaded this app again to give it another shot and it was a mistake. Uninstalling now.

Notifications
I don’t like that I can’t get the notification off the app when I viewed it. Will not go away. Would appreciate any info to get it to go away. Thanks.
Updated version horrible
Had to delete the app because the new update crashed the app. I had no issues with the app, & now can’t use it. Guess I’ll be looking at news and weather from another side of town🤦🏼♀️

This app sucks
I wish I could rate the latest few versions of their app at a 0. They have clearly slashed their IT budget by 95+%. The latest few updates have totally ruined this app. You can’t play an alert without an advertisement popping up and having to click through to ch12. Then when it does finally start playing, something that has nothing to do with the alert you got starts playing and you can’t fast forward through the BS that they are playing. If you hit the fast forward button, it just starts over again. They totally ruined this app in the last few years and I will recommend that everyone I know not watch or use ch12 unless they fix their BS problems in their app and their reporting. If I get an alert and I click on it, show what the alert is about, don’t take me through 10 minutes of advertisements and un related BS to never see what the alert is about. Absolute worst app I have ever downloaded. Total POS app.
Accessibility problem: Type too small
The app for iPhone doesn’t scale the type for readability. You have to scroll sideways to read enlarged type
Crashing
Since doing the latest update, app crashes immediately upon opening. Please fix soon!

Just want to read the alerts not watch a video.

When I tap on the app icon it opens and then IMMEDIATELY CLOSES!!!!! Can’t read anything!!!!
Hate it
I absolutely hate this app. It it cluttered, contains way too many videos, and is filled with way too many ads - especially the annoying pop up ads. Oftentimes when I’m just trying to read a story, I inadvertently click on a pop up ad. It’s truly maddening, and has resulted in me turning to competitors‘ apps to read the local news. I used to live in Northern Virginia and loved the NBC4 DC app - still use that one today. PLEASE take some pointers from that app to see how it SHOULD be done. If the 12OnYourSide app is not improved soon, I will likely just delete it altogether.
Ads have taken over
As the title suggests and others have noted, the increase on ads has negatively impacted my experience with this app so much that I had to delete it. There is always an ad upon opening (which is fine), but I can’t read more than a story or two without more ads popping up. This is a shame because I really enjoyed the content NBC 12 provides. I hope they reconsider this decision so that I may re-install this app at some point in the future.

Crash
Today the app said there was an update. I accepted it and now the app keeps crashing.
Ads galore
Are you guys hard up for money or greedy, I have never watch so many adds on an app. I just want to read the news or watch a quick segment of the news. NBC 12 went from my go to for local news to deleted.
Ads on top of ads
Now you have to close an ad to even view the app. First it was the weather with ads, now this. I’m officially done with news12.
Loyal viewer
I prefer the old app. This is geared towards ads and is not easy to navigate. You really messed up something that was good. Now you have to fight the ads to get to the app. Poorly done.
Change not needed
This update on the app is horrible! I can’t find anything and can’t find where I delete items I have read. I probably will give up the app and use one of the other news channels. Your app is no longer of use because of the difficulty to use.
